Catastrophic Repair, Unauthorized Work, and Extortion -- Exposed by NAPA Corporate!…read moreI brought my van to Chad's Quick Auto in Chelan strictly to address an overheating problem, which required diagnosing and installing a new thermostat. Instead, this shop performed completely unauthorized work and hit us with a shocking $1,600 bill for an unrequested oil change and oil filter housing. Because we were out of town and stranded in Chelan, they used our situation to their advantage. We had to pay their extortionate costs just to get our van back so we could drive home and get to work. The van ran significantly worse than when we brought it in to them. We took it to Scotty's Auto Repair in Moses Lake, (highly recommend, their 5 star review is coming soon) where their team discovered that Chad's had put the entirely wrong radiator fluid into our vehicle and a faulty oil filter housing causing it to leak profusely. Genn at Scotty's acted as a fierce advocate for us. When she called Chad's to hold them accountable, they spoke to her in a completely inappropriate manner over the phone. Because Chad's refused to take responsibility, Genn bypassed them entirely and escalated the issue directly to NAPA Corporate under the NAPA Auto Care Peace of Mind Warranty. Because Chad's work was so flagrantly improper and defective, NAPA Corporate approved the claim and covered 100% of the parts and labor required to flush the system and fix Chad's dangerous mistakes. NAPA's own corporate intervention proves Chad's work was faulty. Avoid Chad's Quick Auto Chelan at all costs--they perform unauthorized work, price-gouge stranded travelers, and execute defective repairs.

Someone had hit my car while it was parked. They cracked the right headlight, left a 2.5' scratch…read moredown the right front fender and didn't even leave a note. I took the car to JMP Collision Center and they handled everything, including dealing with my insurance company. The scratch was down to the metal and the headlight was fogging up from rainwater leaking in, but when the folks at JMP were finished you couldn't even tell anything had ever happened. The paint job matched perfectly and the new headlight was installed and aligned. All the staff at JMP are courteous and they work fast to try to get you back in your vehicle as soon as possible. We had just arrived at Bridgeport State Park when our truck started making a strange noise. We put…read moreour boat in the water and parked the truck at a campsite. That is when we noticed a waterfall under the truck. Looked for a hose leak or a radiator leak, but couldn't see anything. Since it was late afternoon, we decided to deal with it the next day. Looked for auto repair in Brewster, the closest big town 12 miles away, and located Medrano's. What wonderful people! This is a one-man shop and they normally work by appointment only, but when we showed up unannounced, Mr. Jose Medrano came out, took a look, ran a simple diagnostic test and said it was the water pump. He said he would order the pump and, since our truck is also our RV, do the work in one day. We drove back to camp. My husband took the truck over the next morning, arriving at a quarter to 9, Mrs. Medrano drove him back to the park so we could go fishing until the work was done. We called about 1 pm and Mr. Medrano said his wife was on the way to pick us up, the work was done! That is service above and beyond. The charge was well within the going rate for the work and exactly the quote we were given. We really wish we had caught a fish so we could give it to them. Medrano's does good work, the price is right on and they are good people. We would recommend them highly.
