We had just arrived at Bridgeport State Park when our truck started making a strange noise. We put our boat in the water and parked the truck at a campsite. That is when we noticed a waterfall under the truck. Looked for a hose leak or a radiator leak, but couldn't see anything. Since it was late afternoon, we decided to deal with it the next day. Looked for auto repair in Brewster, the closest big town 12 miles away, and located Medrano's.
What wonderful people! This is a one-man shop and they normally work by appointment only, but when we showed up unannounced, Mr. Jose Medrano came out, took a look, ran a simple diagnostic test and said it was the water pump. He said he would order the pump and, since our truck is also our RV, do the work in one day. We drove back to camp. My husband took the truck over the next morning, arriving at a quarter to 9, Mrs. Medrano drove him back to the park so we could go fishing until the work was done. We called about 1 pm and Mr. Medrano said his wife was on the way to pick us up, the work was done! That is service above and beyond. The charge was well within the going rate for the work and exactly the quote we were given. We really wish we had caught a fish so we could give it to them.
Medrano's does good work, the price is right on and they are good people. We would recommend them highly. read more
