Service was amazing very quick you get my food. Definitely a lot of food for the price. But the sauce didn't have any flavor really and the chicken was almost like it was undercooked. But maybe it was the kind I got not really sure, first time eating here in years and I understand why. read more

I ate here once. On a Wednesday evening around 8 o'clock. It was a to-go order that I wish I'd forgone. Though everything was cooked to order and served hot, the house version of General Tso's Chicken is among the sweetest I've ever tasted. Way too sweet, in fact. The hot & sour soup is ... sour. No spice whatsoever. The egg rolls. Average at best. The restaurant bills itself as one of the top Chinese restaurants in the U.S., according to voters. All I can say is, I never got the chance to cast a ballot. That said, it might well be the best in Natchitoches. Bottom line: Chef Wok serves fresh hot food. But the recipes are about on par with what you'd find in your grocer's freezer. read more

One of my favorite places to eat in Natchitoches. Hell, my favorite all time Chinese restaurants. The dumplings, lomein, fried rice, and egg rolls are the best you'll ever have. They are also very fast an efficient. Do yourself a favor and get some takeout ASAP! It's so good. read more

I cannot believe how consistently busy this place was with the take out. I am starving here, maybe I should stick with the commercial chains, help me. You do get a lot of food for your money, just a little different. Check out pictures of the food. We got the dinner combos which you have to understand the additional $$. But like I said you really get a good bit of food for your money so be warned. We only got the dinner combos which most places don't give you half that much, we were considered ordering the family size, good thing we didn't but it's a good thing I don't live in this city not sure if I would cone back. Wow... I should've read yelps review before I ordered here. They don't even have lunch special, so I ordered Chef special "general tso chicken". (Around 8 bucks) Well... I only had couple bites and throw it away. I couldn't take it seriously.. Worst Chinese food ever. It stinks and taste terrible. Fried rice don't have any meat, or any vegetables in it. This restaurant is by far some of the best Chinese food I have ever had. Pay no attention to the last few reviews. They are insanely biased. Tell me where you can get over 2lbs of food per dish for under $16. This restaurant is geared more towards take out, but I found the booths to be quite comfortable. The booths got considerably more comfortable when my date and I were able to both eat for under $20 and still have left overs for 2 days. Sooo good! Love it! I have taken two-hour road trips just to visit Natchitoches and get the Player's Special. It's the best dish there (if you don't mind hot garlic breath later ;) ) Besides the PS, I have been many many times and have yet to find a bad dish. It's not your typical buffet Chinese food. It's the menu Chinese food. Much better. lol If you are ever in town, I suggest you make it the first place you dine. read more

This place is the best worst Chinese food place in the world. It's all about geography. If there's bad Chinese within a tolerable traveling distance of good Chinese, then its just bad Chinese. If there are no substitutes, not counting buffets, then that bad Chinese becomes a symbol of hope that someday again, when you have a craving for sugar coated protein with sauteed veggies and soy sauce drenched starches, you will find your self near good Chinese. Best Chinese in Natchitoches. It was our weekly Friday night spot. Authentic food, generous portions, awesome sauces! Everything was FRESH, made to order, and did not taste like it came from a wholesale warehouse. Definitely a ray of sunshine in my time in Natchitoches. They did have a pick up window, but people seemed to abuse it. If you hadn't ordered already, you should have waited in the lot rather than holding up the line. That was my only complaint. Best Chinese food in Natchitoches, with that being said the place is abit of a dive it's better to get it to go. Try the crab delights, we'll worth your time.The food here may seem pricey compared to buffet fare, but it's made up for with generous portions. Food is a traditional asian/american fusion. That being said the serving sizes when you dine in are very generous. Carryout portions seem to be a little smaller but that might be to fit them in the boxes. The combination dinners are a great deal with an appetizer, fried rice or lo mein, and main course for around 8 dollars. Drive through window is very convenient for call ahead orders. When you are the only Chinese restaurant in town you can get away with a lot, but this was absolutely the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. The sweet and sour pork was barely edible but the Generals chicken was a pungent flavor I have never encountered and cooked to a crisp and had none of the characteristics of chicken read more
