My opinion is due to staffing. However for this that would like to have a nice Malbec or Chardonnay with delicious oriental food..... well all you get is water, tea, or soda. Hmmmm that reminds me of my days of living in Waco, Texas. This place has huge potential if they would at least have a wine list. Chicken was good 8/10 super fresh and crunchy. No complaints Rice was 4/10. Not cooked to order and lacked flavor of the typical Asian rice you normally see. Soup or salad? 0/10 because I didn't receive either. When I ask the server about either. He replied. "Oh I thought you didn't want it" excuse me sir I've never met you before. You don't know what I want and plus I paid my money for one or the other. So that in itself is out of line. To got tempura shrimp roll. That usually consist of shrimp rice and nori. And sometimes cucumber. This monstrosity consisted of a baby shrimp piece cucumber rice nori and imitation crab???? And iceberg lettuce? That is insane. They added all of those extra things to skimp out on the shrimp so that is a never buy again dish. The decor could be updated but the environment was your typical run of the mill mom and pop place so no shame. Service 1/10 this man didn't even offer the soup or salad. All in all. I will definitely not return. Spent 16.75

We are big sushi eaters, and are always looking to try a new place. It's not a "fancy" Asian restaurant, but quaint and clean. We were greeted and seated right away, and our server was very polite. The menus, table and booth were clean. Nothing sticky, thank goodness. Nice and quiet also. It's nice to be able to hear each other talk for a change. The prices are very fair for the portion size, and the food came out fast. We ordered raw sushi and hot food. The sushi was well made, and fish cut properly-not paper thin like other places tend to do. Good sized, proper portions. The ponzu sauce was really good, and I am picky about that, not too tart or too sweet. The hot dish was the human style Chicken and shrimp, which was just right. Not too spicy, and picture perfect. It definitely had NOT sat under a heat lamp, and was extremely fresh and very delicious! The sushi entree came with soup and we chose the hot and sour. Now, that is one of my most favorite soups, and they got it right. Best hot and sour soup I have ever had. In all, we give it 5 stars all the way around. I do not know why this place wasn't packed on a Saturday night. We are from Tyler, and they have some great Asian restaurants there-this one absolutely would make it in Tyler and that says a lot. I hope this review helps to bring them more customers! Thanks for a nice date night! We will be back.

The fried rice was a little dry and only had slivers of meat and very little onions or seasoning. The eggrolls came sliced in half with only pork no cabbage and not crispy. I'm not a huge Chinese food fan but this place didn't give me indigestion or bloating like other Chinese dishes do so that was a plus! I most likely won't be ordering again unless it's for my boys!

9/18/2026: The absolute best bang for your buck at L'Auberge!…read more If you're looking for fantastic food, top-tier service, and speed that gets you right back to your casino plans, Asia checks every single box. No other restaurant inside L'Auberge offers this complete combination of speed, quality, value, and convenience. Here is what made our visits so memorable: The Egg Rolls (10/10): Whatever you do, do not skip the egg rolls! They are ridiculously good and served with a great sauce. We loved them so much that after leaving the blackjack table the next night, we came back just to get another order to go! Hunan Chicken & White Rice: Since they didn't have Kung Pao, they accommodated us by bringing out crushed peanuts on the side. The Hunan chicken was very good with a nice, satisfying kick to it--and their sticky white rice was fantastic and cooked perfectly. Lettuce Wraps: My friend tried the lettuce wraps (sorry, no photo!) and gave them rave reviews--they also had a nice little spicy kick. Speed & Service: The staff was exceptionally friendly and incredibly efficient. We had a concert to get to, and they had us served, fed, and out the door in plenty of time without ever making us feel rushed. Value & Convenience: For a sit-down restaurant inside a casino, the prices are very reasonable. Whether you want a quick sit-down meal in a great atmosphere or need to grab delicious take-out to take back to your room or the casino floor, this is the spot. For me, it's all about fast service, great food, and getting right back to my casino activities. Asia nails it every time--we will definitely be back! A note for L'Auberge management: I really hope leadership is paying attention. The Golden Nugget is completely outclassing L'Auberge when it comes to dining options. L'Auberge desperately needs to step up its game, and bringing in more fantastic spots like Asia would be a great start. While you're at it, replacing Johnny Sánchez with an authentic, quality Mexican restaurant should be top priority. Coming from Texas, we're admittedly spoiled with incredible Tex-Mex and Latin cuisine, but Johnny Sánchez is truly disappointing--I've eaten there multiple times and have never had a remotely good meal. Has anyone else noticed the overall decline in dining quality across L'Auberge lately?

Anytime we visited the casino, she would go to Asia and I would go across the hall to get a hot dog. I finally gave in a couple years ago and joined her at Asia. While I'm still a picky eater, I must say I was astounded at the quality and freshness of the food we were served. My must haves are the firecracker shrimp and General Sam's Shrimp. The firecracker shrimp have the perfect amount of creamy heat banged with the present crisp of the fried shrimp. It's not overwhelmingly spicy but just right if you like a little heat. The creaminess of the sauce helps balance the spice. If you're up for it add a glass of ice water and order their best Saki to truly enjoy the experience. The General Saos shrimp is equally amazing. It's a delicate balance of sweet and savory with a hint of heat. Admittedly, I wouldn't be mad if it had a little more heat but my perspective is usually after spending hours in the casino and I'm looking to burn the demons of sin from my soul with spices. The spousal unit typically orders Hunan Chicken which I've sampled and it is definitely as savory and fresh. I lean toward dishes with a little spice and heat but it is very flavorful. The waitstaff is always very attentive no matter the hour and this restaurant is now our must visit every time we visit Lake Charles no matter where we stay.
