I found this business on Facebook & scrolled through the many STUNNING cupcake pictures & fell in love! I reached out to Jamie who answered right away & was super sweet!!! My daughter just celebrated her birthday & I ordered a dozen, $28. I told Jamie I trusted her to make the fun & festive with a neutral (black, white, gray) color palette. She jumpped on it & we figured out a date/time to meet up... I live in Gwinnett & she is up in Dahlonega, GA. We met up, she was SO nice, I met her husband & we did our exchange.... from the box these looked so great & I couldn't wait to get them home, but had to wait a day to actually enjoy them... the anticipation killed me! Finally the day came & while the kids went out I got to set up the cupcakes. They were in the fridge overnight & I was a little concerned they would have dried out a little... they did NOT dry out, infact they were the PERFECT consistency, not over sweet, SUPER moist & light/fluffy!! Icing was not only BEAUTIFUL & "Bougie" (one friend called it), but it too was PERFECT & I am an icing kind-a girl!! Our food was served on styrofoam, the coffee drinks were a-okay (from a machine) and the jelly was served in packets (I'm not sure why but I really pictured sweet local jams or something that would tie back to the name and feel of the business). The bakery case offered croissants, cookies, etc. I didn't try any of those for myself so I can't speak to them. They offer a handful of small tables both inside and on the front patio overlooking the square. The service was great - I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that here.

The venue is pretty spectacular with great views of the surrounding hills and valleys along with the vineyards as the hang of the side of the mountain. There were two aspects that pushed my opinion down a bit, neither are really the fault of the venue or business so I've stayed with the 5-stars. The wedding was held in an outdoor pavilion with great views, but during the first week of August quite hot. There are ceiling fans but they didn't help too much - I was sweltering in my jacket and tie by the time the ceremony ended (just be aware if you book something here during the hot season). The second, there are a lot of stairs as you are on the side of a mountain. If you have a hard time traversing a lot of stairs, there are other means of getting around so once again be aware. The main "hall" has windows with fantastic views. I thought the food was exceptional and wish I had taken more photos, but there were a lot of poor lighting (I was seated next to the dance area). My apologies for the missing check in and the lack of photos but I didn't want to be obnoxious at a wedding. Overall I love the rustic charm of this place and plan to return and more fully explore the wine offerings. I thought the service was exceptional with very accommodating staff, especially the bartenders.

Later that day I encouraged my mom to go in the shop to see the inside. She went in and upon entry, the same lady said, "my gift shop is closed. If you aren't here for coffee or dessert, you need to leave." My mom put up no fight and left. It was incredibly odd experience for all of this. The coffee was good but I'll never go back.

With fear and trepidation, we said no and he asked us if he scared us... we said "yes". We knew we had to get out of there fast. As we were trying to "escape", I saw a cat and tried to soften the awkwardness and talk to an older lady about the cat. Just as I did that, the older lady started yelling out. "They're not gonna buy anything, Jack! Why are they here if they don't wanna buy anything? They don't like our store? They should leave!!" He agreed and so did we! This has been the weirdest shopping experience of my life.

Do not go into this mans store with coffee from somewhere else!

So very excited to finally have a true fine dining restaurant in Dahlonega. Just finished dinner at Chef Paco's and I wish we could give 10 stars. What he's done to the property is lovely. The wait staff are very well trained and a delight to be served by. The food is just plain outstanding. Calamari - tender and deliciously prepared. Caesar salad - the best I've had in a long time. I had the Caprese Chicken, which was so well prepared and presented and it was delicious. My husband had the Jumbo Shrimp Linguini and it too was out of this world. And then ... the desserts! Valentine's Day Special Salted Caramel Cheese Cake was delectable and the Turtle Pie was so good. Everything is made in house and you certainly can tell that this is true. We will be back - again and again! They were solidly booked for Valentine's but they did not miss a beat - lots of food coming out of that kitchen and it all looked executive chef prepared. First time to visit this new local spot. We had dinner on NYE at 6pm. Every bite was great! Smoked Salmon bruschetta app had an tapenade that was delicious. The fried tomato salad is a total surprise, so I'm not going to tell you anything more, just order it! Pork chop was perfectly cooked and the Brussel sprouts grilled to a perfect el dente'. This was my first visit and I genuinely could not decide what to order, so I went all in and tried several sandwiches. Every sandwich I tried was excellent. The Cowboy Cubano and the Irish Imposter Reuben ended up being my favorites. That Reuben was so good I literally went to sleep thinking about it afterward. The Irish Imposter comes with shaved pastrami, Swiss cheese, barrel-cured sauerkraut, and their house-made thousand island aioli on toasted marble rye. Crispy on the outside, warm and cheesy inside, and packed with flavor. One of the better Reubens I've had in North Georgia. The Cowboy Cubano was incredible too. Smoked brisket, pepper jack cheese, green chiles, Texas red sauce, Alabama white sauce, and crispy fried onions on perfectly pressed Cuban bread. The Clubber was loaded with smoked turkey, thick-cut bacon, applewood smoked ham, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and garlic Dijon aioli. Super fresh, balanced perfectly, and the bread was fantastic. The Philly Cubano was another standout with shaved roast beef, steak seasoning, provolone, white American, roasted peppers, and onions on authentic Cuban bread imported from Miami. You can taste the difference immediately in the bread quality. I'm already planning a return trip specifically to try the High Country Cubano with pulled smoked pork, smoked ham, Swiss, dill pickles, chips, and smoky mustard aioli. The desserts were excellent too. They had these thick gourmet cookies that were amazing, especially the pecan pie cookie that basically combines a cookie with pecan pie filling on top. Dangerous stuff. What impressed me most is that these sandwiches are crafted with care. Great cuts, beautiful presentation, quality ingredients, and somehow they're not overly messy to eat. You can tell the people behind this place know what they're doing. Daniel was back there making sandwiches during my visit and doing an awesome job, and the service overall was excellent. Friendly people, welcoming atmosphere, and genuine pride in the food. A couple things to know before you go: 1. Parking is limited 2.It's a takeout spot. You do have a few chairs to sit and wait for your food inside though Honestly though, none of that matters once you take the first bite. If sandwiches were the only food I could eat for the rest of my life, I'd be completely fine with it -- and places like this are exactly why. Dahlonega is lucky to have a spot like this.
