The Chef's Table Dinners are phenomenal and I'm surprised not more people know about these events. I attended the Friendsgiving Thanksgiving themed dinner with Chef Jorge Montes and it was fantastic. I also more recently attended the Burmese Chef's Table Dinner with Chef May Aungthet Ahmay and it was excellent. I look forward to attending more of these events and I understand that many are planned. They are also doing a food delivery service, which I'd love to try. If you like great food and a more intimate experience where you actually get to meet people and speak with talented Chefs, this is your jam.

We made pasta from scratch, then the lobster filling and whipped out a tasty Beurre Blanc sauce. Plus we also made a refreshing salad with Shaved Fennel and Orange in Vinaigrette. The class was so much fun and everyone was friendly. They have classes scheduled every month so check out @communityclassroomproject on IG frequently. Proceeds from these events support the CCK's mission to enhance the well-being of South Florida families through the joy of cooking and communal dining. Since launching, they have provided several scholarships to area students for culinary camps and donated several thousand meal boxes to families in need. They recently received a $40,000 grant from the Children's Services Council to continue their work in the community.

Chef Devon prepared a 5-course menu tailored to our family's preferences plus her own seasonal dishes that we were able to choose from ahead of the event. Leading up to the event and day of Chef Devon was extremely responsive via email, phone call, and text message. She happily answered every question promptly making us feel so at ease during the entire planning process. Day of Chef Devon and her server arrived right on time to prepare the meal. They both were extremely conversational (and so funny!) we had such a fun time while they cooked and set-up. She brought all of the plates, silverware, chargers, napkins and wine glasses for us so we did not have to worry about that. The meal was incredible! Portions were extremely generous, and every single course was amazing. We are huge foodies with giant appetites, but not a single person left hungry. We bought a Breville coffee pot from the Sur La Table in West Palm Beach earlier this week and…read moreafter putting it together, it was not functioning. My wife called Breville and they told her it was malfunctioning and to bring it back as the water didn't heat and it didn't drip. We attempted to return it to the Sur La Table in Mizner Park in Boca Raton with the original purchase receipt from West Palm Beach. The manager of the Boca Raton store, Anastasia said that since it was opened and used that she would not be able to issue a credit throughout credit card account, but could exchange it or give us an in store credit. This is contrary to what was printed on the receipt. From other stores, we have made a purchase at one store and returned it to another of their stores. Recently, we purchased something from Tommy Bahama when we were in Sarasota and was able to return it to the Tommy Bahama in the Boca Raton mall. There was no issue as we had the original receipt. Why did we get a hard time returning a defective coffee maker to another Sur La Table? We tried setting up the coffee maker but we never were able to use it as it didn't work. We now have to make another trip to West Palm Beach to return the coffee maker to the Sur La Table that we purchased it from within the 30 day return period. This is a big inconvenience to us. We will be telling our friends and neighbors about this experience at the Boca Raton Sur La Table. We no longer will shop at Sur La Table.

I argued with her that I couldn't use it that if I could've used it, I would've kept it. Anastasia, the manager went through every item and checked the serial numbers with the numbers on the box and then had real difficulty putting it all back together again. Now that I understand Sur La Table does not take defective items back with the receipt in the original packaging two days after purchase - I WILl NOT SHOP HERE Again!!!! I have spread the word and told my friends and neighbors on next-door! It's a shame I love to cook, and I was a regular with this being my go to store!
