Food is standard Chinese fare - pretty good, but not the best I've ever had. It's a good place for a comforting bowl of fried rice when you just need to drown yourself in sweet, sweet carbs. However, the service is some of the most inconsistent I've encountered. Sometimes the server will be plenty friendly and attentive, and sometimes it's like pulling teeth to get anything resembling a smile. The older woman who I assume is an owner or manager is pretty abrupt and rude. If the service was better, I'd choose this place more often, but as it is I steer clear. read more

Without a doubt, the absolute worst Chinese food I've ever had. We ordered multiple dishes for takeout. They all tasted the exact same, and by that I mean there was a complete absence of flavor in every bite. I wish I could have at least drowned the dish in soy sauce to at least get an idea of what they were attempting to create, but alas you receive only one small packet with your order...I was left to chew on air. i hadn't been to Chee Kong in many years, prices had went up and it didn't seem friendly. I read the reviews which most are bad so I wanted to give it another try. I went 3 times in the last month and the food is great and prices are still on the high end BUT I can say that the owner is a lot friendlier!! So I think it deserves a great rating ! read more

Gross hot and sour soup! Not very hot and not very sour just very bland broth with a few veggies etc floating in it! Plus ordered a small soup and they did not tell us they do not have small so ended up with a $7 container of crappy soup. RUDE staff. ok food BUT, portion is not worth what you pay. out of a lot of seafood items. sampler platter for two was skimpy- overpriced. Hot and sour soup was jelling very dissatisfied. It satisfies a craving but by no means in the top ten of Chinese Restaurants. Only gotten takeout, never seen more than 2 customers inside sitting down. Due to a lack of options we have been practicing our own Chinese meals at home with great success. read more

The first time my family and I dined here the experience was average, the last two times were very poor especially today I went in to buy my wife a pint of won ton soup which was 3 dollars and some Change, she came out with the soup to go and when I went to pay for it with credit card she tells me there is a minimum of 5 dollars for card purchases, I tell her I'll take 2 egg rolls as well then ( $2.70) total a little more than 6 dollars she says not enough I say (you said 5 dollars or more ) she argues with me saying that she didn't say that and proceeds to tell me "7 or 8 dolla we can do " I got furious and left cursing . Clearly don't care about the customer highly recommend a different place to eat preferably China 1 on lapeer rd and center rd. read more

Worst Chinese food ever! We ordered the general tso's chicken and it was just sweet and sour chicken with a gross sauce poured over it. The broccoli in the chicken was cold, and the onions raw. They wanted to charge $5 to replace the white rice with chicken fried rice and the meal was already $12. We will ever go back! read more

The food is decent to mediocre, but the owner is a BITCH. She ruins the dining/take out experience. Not to mention it's really expensive. I ordered two egg rolls, vegetable fried rice, and an order of shrimp lo mein and the total was $29. Worth it? I think not. Disappointing to say the least. My family and I LOVE Chinese and we are brand new to Davison. This was our first time ordering take out and we had read and heard mixed reviews. We ordered almond chicken, sweet & sour chicken, some fried rice and a couple egg rolls, also dinner rolls. The rolls were burned and stale and the chicken was over cooked and batter was darker than expected. When I called to explain, the manager was very argumentative, then said bring it in. When I showed up, she continued to argue even after I had shown her the chicken and rolls. She kept saying, "We been her 24 yrs and no one complain like this!" She also told me I was only complaining because I was new and didn't know what to expect....um...no, it isn't my fault. She kept saying "this is how it is supposed to look!" I payed $34 dollars for basically some rice and eggs rolls and she gave me $10 back, and I still had a hungry family. She muttered under her breath for me not to come back even though I was polite the entire time. Don't worry lady I definitely won't come back. I have eaten Chinese food in a couple dozen cities, so I know a little about good Chinese. I would have considered going back, but not after that experience. read more

very disappointing. over priced for small portions. asked for white rice to be substituted with fried rice. I recieved clumps of white rice colored brown for $2 upcharge. tasted like white rice. ordered ham fried rice a la carte. recieved a small bowl of rice with very little ham.
