Best croissants and food ever! Excellent service and atmosphere! Burger is amazing and croissants are sooooo good!

We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of food and taste. We were traveling through the area. We did call ahead seating from online. I highly recommend. They only give you so many minutes as we had to run in the door. It is like a Fridays or Applebees. It is not gourmet but was fine. They have discount alcoholic drinks. The garden salads were nice and big. I liked the unusual Onion Ring tower appetizer. My son liked the cheese curd appetizer. My bourbon burger was disappointed. Medium meant well done and no time to send back. The mushrooms and onions were minimal. I had to pay a add-on fee for the grilled mushrooms. The queso and salsa appetizer was good and came with a lot of tortilla chips. The pastry like croissants that they give you for the table bread was interesting.

The food was excellent. The buttered croissants were amazing, the cheese fries were delicious, and the ribs were tender and juicy. Overall, it was a great experience.

I have been to a couple of Cheddar's locations previously, but this was my first experience at this location in West Virginia. This one is convenient because it is just off the highway (70) and very close to a huge Cabela's. I have had better experiences at other Cheddar's locations, but this one was ok. I tried the Cajun Chicken Bowl. It really lacked a lot of flavor and was on the small side. Our server may have been having a bad day or something, but she really wasn't friendly and did not pay a lot of attention to us. Overall not a bad experience, but not the best one that I have had

If in the area, give it a try. Basically, on par with typical chains that offer similar food. It's a meal. Nothing special. On the louder side. Accommodating to kids and families.

We used to come here all the time before covid. It's just not the same as it used to be. The meatloaf itself was a 1 star but the service and fish made up for it. The texture reminds me of a veggie burger. Very affordable and the fish tank is a cool feature, but besides that, nothing special.

Always consistent, always great! Burgers, ribs, Chicken Fried Steak, just great American food. For a snack, they bring out croissants, topped with honey butter, warm, fall apart, with the honey butter spread across, soooooo yummy! I got the Smokehouse Burger, a half-pound burger served with bacon, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, sauteed onions. Of course, I always add Ranch dressing. Great burger, everything works great together. A yummy half pound burger, burger fiend happy! A side of seasoned fries, and an extra side of beer battered awesome Onion Rings. Cajun and Ranch for dipping. Always worth the trip!

I already started eating my salad when I thought to take a picture I requested no cheese and the salad came through just as I requested.

My husband and I are passing through the area and stopped here on Memorial Day at about 5:15 PM. A number of cars were in the parking lot and I was concerned there'd be a wait. We were greeted warmly by the hostess, who sat us immediately at a cozy booth. As soon as we sat down our waitress, Iris, arrived and took our drink order. When she returned, she gave some recommendations on the menu. I had the grilled chicken pecan salad and was very happy with my choice. The chicken was very moist and tender. The salad greens were fresh and the dressing that came with it. A honey mustard was perfect. There is a kiosk at the table and my husband and I played one or two games . We were surprised there was a $2.99 charge. The first game was already in progress and we started it on the fifth question out of 10 we then played one more game. Frankly, we didn't notice there was a fee for the initial games like that, but we probably just didn't look at it closely, but just for others to be aware so they're not surprised by the charge.

Food was ok. Kitchen and waitstaff were slow and didn't seem to care that we were here.

Cheap version of Applebee's. Don't eat the fish taco's. This is why I try to avoid chain restaurants.

Ask the Community - Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

What time is best without as much crowd for dinner?

I'm not sure about the location, but as someone who works in a bar & grill, I can confidently say that anywhere from 3-4 is generally a slower time for a restaurant..... Or from 830 on.

It did get busier by the time we left All of us enjoyed exploring the menu and talking about all the choices Everyone found something they really enjoyed. No one came to greet us for maybe five minutes, and I started to get nervous because there were only about five other occupied tables in the restaurant and I figured that servers would be pretty prompt. The person that served us turned out to be the bartender as the bar was right next to our table. This person did not offer us water, ask have you been here before, or any of the other pleasantries that all the other wait staff was telling to the other tables that we could hear. The other wait staff was telling people about the breakfast and their specials and the biscuits and everything and we got nothing. I don't know why we weren't seated somewhere with a server who didn't have to also deal with the bar, but our service was extremely slow and I am sure that is why. I ordered the lemonade and it was really delicious except that I would've liked to have had a water to drink as well. My husband ordered an iced coffee which he said was good but it was in a very tiny brandy type glass that could not have been more than 6 ounces. At five dollars for each of our drinks I would think that it could be maybe a little bigger. The person helping us never came back to talk about refills or having another drink or water or anything. We ordered the biscuits and I ordered a breakfast meal and my husband ordered the half of a chicken. I wanted my eggs over easy and they were almost hard. They were definitely not over easy; they were overcooked. Everything else was acceptable but not delicious. My husband's chicken was very juicy. He didn't get his salad until a few minutes after our entrées were delivered though. A different server brought the salad over to us and she said "ha ha found it" trying to make a joke, but it was like yeah we get it. You guys aren't very good at running food out. When it was time to pay, it took us asking for the bill to get it and then at least five minutes for it to be picked back up when we would've liked to have been on our way. The food was ordinary and the service was pretty bad. We won't be back again. Our breakfast was $50 plus $10 tip and parking and we can get much better service elsewhere for that same price.

It will tell you it is multiple vendor stalls, central seating. Instead, the first thing I noticed was a barrier to my experience -- a hostess counter. WTH? I politely ask her how this works. Do we walk around or do we get a table? Im confused and she is just as confused by my confusion. Apparently, it is a sit-down, get escorted to a table just like any other full-service restaurant model and with an hour wait to do so on this Picklesburgh Sunday so we did not partake (FYI, we had a great meal with no wait at Nicki's Thai restaurant). So, guys. If you are going to tout this as a beer and food "hall", remember what the concept is. (Um, Faneuil Hall?? In Boston ring a bell?)
