Our recent experience has convinced me to never go back there again. First, our 20 minute wait turned into 50 minutes. When we finally asked they got us a seat immediately so I guess we had been overlooked. We waited a bit for our drinks, understandable because they were busy. I ran out of tea and asked 3 times before getting a refill. They forgot my grandmothers dinner. Then we tried to pay. He took our tickets back four times to try to get them correct and on the fourth time I actually took a pen and wrote down exactly what we had eaten and he still got it wrong! We paid the extra just to get out of there and will be finding somew here new to eat on our Cabela trips. read more

My wife and I debated over whether this was 3 stars or 4. But based on service, plating, and the food I can barely give it 3. I ordered onion rings ($4) which was a huge plate of breaded rings. I like my rings thicker than their version plus they gave us very little sauce to go with it. And when the waitress doesn't check in until they bring out your meal, you forget about asking for it. I ordered the pick 2 ($6) of tortilla soup and half a club. This was cheaper than Panera but the Club was pathetic. I had looked at the burgers and sandwiches being laid out close to us and though half a club would be enough. It could have been enough if they placed meat, cheese, and bacon throughout the whole bread instead of piling on in the middle and forgetting about the edge. The soup must have spilled a little or been quickly dipped in because it was all over the sides of the bowl when it came to me. My wife ordered the chicken avocado sandwich ($6-8) which looked good with a huge piece of chicken on it. The chicken was sticking out on both ends but then it was more narrow than wide. She loved it while I wasn't into the honey flavored chicken. She loved it and compared to Applebees and Fridays, this place has some good price options for burgers and appetizers. The Burger are $4-$6 depending on what type but then fries are extra. I love this option since I prefer to order burgers without fries. I am not going out of my way to stop in here again but it is nice option compared to fast food with close to fast food prices. The Monte Cristo looked good albeit a little heavy and fried for my taste buds. The place is also huge and great for groups. read more

After a couple hours on the road, Cheddar's hit the spot. On a Friday night around 8, we were seated right away and had the opportunity for outdoor seating on a beautiful night. The staff was very kind and accommodating. All food came out quickly and was delicious! Everything I felt was reasonably priced, the bill was about $40 for a family of 3. I got the bourbon glazed salmon with two sides (about $10) and the meal was great. Anyone living in the area or just stopping by, I'd highly recommend!! read more

Food was luke warm and tasteless. I had the Steak and ribs with a baked potato and a house salad. The lettuce tasted dirty, the baked potato was underdone, the steak was tasteless and barely luke warm, the ribs were over cooked and tasted like mush. The only good thing was the croissant. This has to be my favorite restaurant. For a chain place, the food is phenomenal! I have had a great number of dishes from cheddars over the years and can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. One of the best things is the huge portions for a relatively low price. I can eat here with two friens and have an appetizer, cocktails, dinner and dessert for less than I typically spend at some other places for just a soft drinks and entrees. Stopped here for lunch during our trip from NoVA to Ohio. Triadelphia offers quite a variety of eateries around Cabela's, but Cheddar's grabbed our attention for some reason. It might've been simply because this is one of the first ones you see at Exit 10 off I70 on Cabela Drive. Their baked potato soup is excellent. Edible at best. The sirloin was good, the shrimp were terrible (had a fishy taste). Asked if green beans were steamed or in a sauce. Told steamed and came out in a sauce and soggy like canned veggies. Service was overall very good. The waitress tried to correct the green beans by substituting broccoli. Was better than expected! I read that this place is somewhere between an Eat N Park and a TGI Fridays. I'd say closer to the style of a TGIFridays. Came in on 12/31/18 and we sat here for over an hour waiting on food. We got our drinks in a timely manner but they somehow couldn't cook our food. There was only 5 of us with very easy meals to make and our poor waitress couldn't even give us an answer as to why. 100% was not her fault. read more

Stopped in on Mother's Day while travelling home from Pennsylvania. My daughter and I both ordered chicken tenders, when our order arrived they were not worth eating. It seemed as if they were left over from the night before, hard and rubbery to chew. Only one tender seemed like it had been cooked fresh. My wife ordered the Dijon chicken and that meal was a disappointment as well. Tasted as if it had been microwaved instead of grilled, very rubbery. I've been to this particular Cheddar's location 3 times. Each time I've received good service. The food is on par with something like Applebee's, but I think that Cheddar's is more reasonably priced. I've seen a lot of people waiting to be seated while I was leaving, so it seems like the wait would be shorter if you went at a non-regular meal time. Bottom line, the food and service are good and the prices are reasonable. read more

Oh, cheddars. We stopped here on our way back home to Pittsburgh because the name was funny and also we looked at the menu and were intrigued... seemed too good to be true - "key west shrimp Dinner" the same price as a chicken salad? $9?? Like only in West Virginia right (or ..wherever else there's a cheddars I guess). Anyway we rolled up right at opening on a Sunday so we were seated right away. Our waiter seemed super irritated to be at work. Which I mean I would be too but slap a smile on, hunty. We got the triple threat sampler appetizer of potato skins (meh) cheese bites (ok) and what we dubbed "garbage nachos". (Soggy. So so bad). I got the chicken Cesar salad which had cold penne pasta in it. This was actually really good, the chicken was freshly grilled I could tell and the pasta noodles made my leftovers much more pleasant to eat than just soggy lettuce. Cesar dressing had a lot of flavor also. My boo got the buffalo chicken wrapper and said it was pretty good. He asked for ranch on the side and never got it. Then someone brought it to him and the waiter walked by and made some sassy comment like "oh I Know YOU'RE gonna need more ranch" like tryina make fun of my man cuz he a big dude. Made me mad. Lol. So other than the garbage nachos the food was good but the service was not the greatest and the atmosphere in there was .. Strange. Like crowded but dismal. I normally love Cheddars. I go with one of my friends to the one in Morgantown all the time. This one, however, well, at least the waitress we had was horrible. She acted like we were an inconvenience, on multiple occasions slammed glasses down on the table, never smiled and wouldn't respond when we even tried to be courteous and say thank you. Oh, and as a heads up if you ever go there, the girl looks nearly exactly like Celia from America's Next Top Model, so if you get her, ask for someone else. read more

Nice place to catch a meal. We were in the area visiting Cabelas. Just across the road. Sat night, the got us in right away. Our waiter was Kyle, he was awesome. Ready for drink order, ready for app order, ready for anything. He was totally on it. Ordered cheese fries and chicken tender apps. Kids loved them. I had a merlot and cranberry vodka, both pretty good. What I was not prepared for were the portion sizes. Hubby and I had dinner size portion sizes for chicken fried chicken and corn meal fried fish. We had the left overs tonight and still did not finish them. Daughter had the chicken Alfredo and son had hamburger with bacon. He could not stop talking about how much he likes his burger. First time visiting this restaurant and will be the last. Ordered the chips and dips for an appetizer. Waited almost 30 minutes and watched several tables get served the same chips and dip just to have our waitress check 3 times to see if ours had been delivered and had her come and tell us that it would be 20 more minutes that they ran out of the cheese dip. 3 of our 4 meals were steaks. Two ordered medium well and one medium. The medium well were black, tough and so over seasoned we couldn't eat them. The loaded baked potato was a potato with a little butter and a sprinkling of cheddar cheese (I think my husbands has sour cream). The rice was unseasoned rice with maybe a little butter mixed in. The southern green beans did have a good taste but the serving that was on my plate was literally about 8 green bean halves. The waitress was apologetic to us and I assume a manager came and offered us a different appetizer but at that point we just wanted to get done and leave. I was so looking forward to trying this restaurant and for $60 was really disappointed. Spend your money else where. This was not a very good experience. read more

Food was decent, but the service was comical. I actually wondered what they'd screw up next. - I ordered a Diet Dr Pepper, my friend ordered a Diet Coke. I received the Diet Coke, she received the Diet Dr Pepper; no effort was made by the server to help him distinguish one from the other - I ordered my drink without ice, it came with ice - I ordered my sandwich without tomato, it came with tomato - I asked for green beans with my sandwich, but received french fries - Neither my friend or I received a knife or napkins - We had to hunt down our server for drink refills My friend lives in Pittsburgh and I live in Columbus, so we thought this might be a good "half-way" place to meet and have lunch. I have been to Cheddars several times in both Triadelphia and Morgantown. The wait staff is always friendly and the reasonable prices don't represent the upscale décor of the restaurant. This last time I got Cajun catfish, macaroni and cheese, and broccoli cheese casserole and it only came to $7.79! The only complaint I have ever had is that their meats tend to be a little on the salty side. The Shepherd's pie I had in Morgantown was almost inedible it was so salty. read more
