On 2/21/18 my partner & I came to this restaurant and was truly shocked by the service we received. We waited over 45min before the food was served, my partner had to call the restaurant while we where sitting there for someone to acknowledge the fact that we had been waiting so long. Once the food arrived it was cold. The fries where salty,over cooked in old grease and cold I had Mac & Cheese as a side and it too come out cold it felt like it had been sitting there in the ready window for the 45min. They ran out of the 2nd side I ordered and gave me another Mac & Cheese that was also cold then the waiter brought me out my original side and said they just made it and that too was cold. After speaking with the Manager on duty "Tiffany" she was absolutely no help in the matter she didn't offer a discount or offer to remove any thing from our order. We spent $60 on a cold meal. I will be speaking to corporate about what happened. Our date night was trying ruined. read more

I would stay away from the Monte Cristo if you are looking for a standard French toast type Monte Cristo this is not it. The breading is some type of deep fried dough. The sandwich was overcooked and greasy. It tasted nothing like a regular Monte Cristo sandwich. The second menu item I was extremely disappointed with was the club sandwich. Again same as the Monte Cristo it was not your standard club. It did not have 3 pieces of bread and it was not cut into quarters. It was more like a bad ham sandwich. I would not recommend either of these menu items. We have been to Cheddars numerous times and it seems like the past 3x the food has continued to go downhill. Next time we go out we will be trying somewhere else. read more

My chicken pot pie wasn't anything special. I wasn't impressed with the food. On a good note the Service was attentive on a Saturday night. The pot pie was bland lacking flavor and they put way too many peas in it. I'm not a fan of green peas because of the texture. Peas do not belong in there, personal opinion here. We love Cheddars, great food at a great price! I am a little disappointed at the North Dale Mabry Hwy in Tampa, Fl location. The food was very good as always, but our waitress was a bit scattered minded, kept forgetting one item i had to remind her 3 times. Part of my order never came, I was done when I reminded our waitress that I was missing a side. The bathrooms are in need of repair, especially the sink in the larger stall could fall any time and was also moldy... This is not an old restaurant to have such sad facilities... .maybe new management is in order. read more

Cheddar's was aiiiiiight. I kind of felt like I was at another Chili's / Applebee's. Nothing really "wowed" me. The food was good and service was satisfactory. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and the two wraps are small, but the perfect size for an entree that you don't want to fill up on. The wrap was little bit hot for me but I just asked for some ranch on the side to dip it in and it was fine that way. read more

Upon arrival we were promptly seated however we had to wait several minutes before being acknowledged by the waiter as well as when our order for drinks was placed. Very low quality food. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because the server was very nice. The shrimp I got were absolutely so undercooked and the lowest quality shrimp I have had. My boyfriend said his country steak was too greasy and not what normal country fried steak is supposed to taste like. The only thing I enjoyed was the croissant. I'm disappointed with the take-out service offered by Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. Make sure you check your order to make sure everything is there before you leave the parking lot! My family has ordered take-out from this location three times since the COVID-19 lockdown. Our order was missing a side two out of the three times we ordered. It is really frustrating to get home and realize you didn't get something that you ordered. The extra sides were for our three year old. My husband called Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen the first time our order was missing a side and the restaurant did not do anything to make it right. He was told that a manager would call him back but we never received a call. We did not bother calling the second time. We are not going to order from Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen again. Even though we like the food and convenient location, it is not worth the disappointment and frustration. We like to get what we order! read more

My sister and I didn't enjoy our meals they weren't well made. The waiter was nice but the food simple and tasteless. I expected more as people recommend this place but I found out the reason they like it is because of their big portions. I'd rather have small portions of fantastic food than large ones of mediocre. We were so impressed with this location. Seriously top notch. Within seconds of entering the place (on a Saturday at 630pm by the way!) we were seated in a booth. Kristen was an incredibly good server. I mean, she was on it! We didn't have to ask for anything, she anticipated our needs the entire time. We had the onion ring app, best weve had anywhere! My husband had the bbq chicken and I went for the Monte Cristo. Holy crap is that the best thing I've ever had!!! Its like a ham and cheese sandwich wrapped in a beignet. And dont miss the raspberry dipping sauce because it takes it to a whole new level. Lol Everything was clean too and that's "my thing" in restaurants. I even asked to see the manager to compliment how well the place was run and how refreshing it was to see all the staff smiling with each other, and to all the patrons. Oh, and the prices!!! They're at least $3-5 less per meal/appetizer/drinks than any other place we've eaten. Truly a pleasure. We will be back. read more

After we got done eating, they decided to bring out her steak. They didn't bring croissants out at all. It took 15 minutes to get the bill after the waitress screwed it up so bad. I went with a party of three; we were seated immediately and ordered cheese bites as an appetizer. When the order came, one of the plates was extremely dirty. The waitress got us a new plate, but didn't apologize. This was fine, as it was only one dish. The cheese was good, but over salted. I ordered a bacon burger, which I didn't even finish as there was way too much salt. When we started dinner, we realized that our silverware was dirty; my fork had grains of rice stuck between the tines. Again, we got new silverware from the server (again, we had no apology). The waitress said she would speak to the manager (we never heard back about anything vis a vis the manager). One person in my party ordered fish, and he said this was good. First time eating here. Party of ten. First, the food was pretty good. I order the chicken nachos. My wife had the lite menu of chicken and shrimp and our daughter had a buffalo chicken wrap. The food was tasty. The buffalo chicken wrap was a large portion. Chicken nachos were very good, but the portion was okay. Others in the party ordered burgers, which they liked, but it is odd that the burgers didn't come with fries. That was extra. The negative: although the service was good, the meals all came out spaced at 5 minute intervals. I found that odd and that is the reason for the 3 stars. read more

This my first experience at a Cheddars and I was pleasantly surprised. I checked out the reviews before going and they were not very good but understand that can happen anywhere. Our server was changed after we ordered our drinks and appetizer. The new server informed us of the change and didn't miss a beat. She was very attentive and good with requests. I ordered the blackened red fish sandwich and was told the red fish entree with crab sauce was also very good. My fish was cooked perfect and moist, it came with french fries but I was allowed to switch out to the coleslaw. The food was great and so was the service. Would definitely return. read more

This is a great place to have some drinks and chat with friends. Margaritas are well prepared and food is good! Nothing fancy but great atmosphere. This is my second visit to Cheddar's.... my first was awesome I had the Bbq ribs and shrimp at the location in St. Petersburg . This time I chose the lighter fare meal in Tampa .....this time I got the Baja chicken it was tasteless hardly any seasoning the left off the pico receive 2 tble spoons of maybe about a tablespoon of rice mostly black beans and the chicken has absolutely no taste whatsoever the best part of my meal was the mango lemonade I wouldn't come here again I may go to cheddars but not this one I wasn't impressed.server was good... they need a new cook ... even if it's a low calories meal it shud still taste good it doesn't take much to make chicken taste good! read more

Great service. Except the bartender has an ego complex. Asked him to turn the channel and he almost ignored us, but indicated he had to get his manager to do so. Noticed he kept on working behind the bar, so 10 minutes later. I stepped up to the plate and asked again, what about getting that channel changed.: is reply..." I have to make drinks for the entire restaurant, wash these glasses, clean the bar, and get my manager who is way in the back to do it, so changing the channel is pretty low on my priority." My comment " so tell me where the manager is and I'll ask her. If you are so busy." Then we noticed the channels changing. And the manager came out, with a nasty attitude and said, "so I hear you want to talk to me?" I said "no, all we wanted was the channel changed, but your bartender was ignoring us, and she said well he has to make all the drinks and I'm in the back, and I have the remote, so his job is to make drinks, not change the channel." My comment was "so it looks as though you shouldn't be sitting behind your desk. You should be out here helping your staff or possibly hiring additional help, if you can't accommodate something as simple as changing a television channel for your paying customers or soon you won't have any.' Started the lunch off with a 5-8 minute wait to be greeted. Our server, Julie, took such a long time to get our drinks, also the appetizer came out before the drinks, and then took another 5 minutes to tell me that they didn't make the drink I ordered. So I ordered another drink which took another 6 minutes. The croissants were cold. The food other than that was amazing. Then the check was dropped while we were in the middle of our meal. And offered desserts after. As a server I understand sometimes things happen and you get busy, but the kicker is she only had one other table. read more

Been to a cheddars before up in Lansing,MI and again in Ft. Myers. They use to have a cinnamon vanilla option for ice cream on the cookie monster dessert. Still good either way. Busy night fri and sat at this Dale mabry locations. I would not recommend going here during the rush of crazies and terrible tippers. Terrible tippers tend to piss off the serving staff and when they finally get to "you" goodluck. Food is good, its nothing outrageously amazing, but it is a good eats place. I will be ordering the salmon Grilled next time. Baked one was pretty bland. If it weren't for the bourbon glaze it would be a crappy meal. Cheddar bites are great, so is the dijon chicken meal. I would recommend anyone go at least 1 time. But you wont find any florida specific wonders in this place. Like i said, its all the same anywhere you ho especially to places like this. Today was my first visit to this place. Everything were soo good. We even try the Croissant (somebody recommended) good too and with a sweet butter even better. The only thing we didn't like was, we don't even finish eating and without asking if we want something else or dessert, the waitress ask if we need a box and about the check. He bring the check and came like twice to see if we were ready to paid. After we paid he came and get the ticket and we didn't see him after that. And it was not people waiting, come on it was just Thursday at 4pm and just was there for like 1 1/2 hr. Just an advice, if the waitress is almost done for the day, please don't let them get anymore table and hurry the people to eat and get them out because you need to go home. read more

I will never return, which is sad because I had previously enjoyed an occasional visit to other Cheddars locations. I should have known we were in for a bad experience when the table next to us was complaining, but we were hungry and I knew exactly what I wanted - the Spazanga (spaghetti-lasagna dish.) When it arrived, it looked different than I've seen it the maybe 3 times I've ever had it, but I wasn't too worried about it. I ordered the vegetarian version and found a few chunks of meat which was super irritating, but I was starving. Then I tried to cut through the cheesy layers, only to discover PLASTIC WRAP in my food. I have photos, but I don't want you all to feel your insides churn like I did. Not only did this disgust me from a "who knows what else that plastic wrap touched" perspective, but it's also extremely unsafe to heat plastic, as toxins can be released. I quickly called the server over to show her my discovery and she immediately brought a manager over. I told him I didn't even want a replacement- I no longer had an appetite. I just wanted to ensure I wouldn't have to pay for my uneaten meal. My husband's fried chicken was fine, but needless to say, we were both completely grossed out by the experience, despite the comped bill. read more

I took my boyfriend here as it was his first time ever and it was my first time at this location. He ordered steak and shrimp and I ordered the classic chicken tender platter with green beans and macaroni. I wish I remembered our server's name cause he was awesome. The only thing positive was the host at the front door..he was welcoming. I ate at Chedders Scratch Kitchen on Roosevelt Blvd for the first time today. I had the Bacon Cheeseburger well done. And a Monte Cristo. The worst food I have had in a long time. The Burger was so hard I couldn't bite into it and tasted like they poured an entire box of salt on it. The Monte Cristo tasted like nothing but oil. We placed an order for an appetizer & it never came, our entree's came out first and COLD. We sent them back, & we told the waitress, about our missing appetizer & she says "oh we ran out!" I really wanted to like this place despite the mixed reviews. But my experience here did not start out well. I was with my mom who is visiting from out of town my mother-in-law also visiting and my husband. The hostess guided us to a four top table where the seat I was about to sit in was filled with water and food from the previous guests. Thankfully I noticed it before I sat down and had the hostess move us to a booth instead. We ordered our meals and the food came promptly. I ordered a chicken dish with a thai type sauce and rice broccoli and a side of black beans. Sadly only the black beans were hot. I was so hungry and didn't feel like dealing with it so I ate it as is anyway. My mom asked for a cup of ice and it took our waitress three times before she finally brought it to the table.
