Cheddars, Sunday 5 Oct. 2019: I had the worst chicken sandwich I have ever had. I asked for the 3 pieces of bacon to be on the side. When it came the sandwich had 3 big pieces of half raw bacon on the sandwich. Well the waitress removed the bacon but left the grease that had already saturated the bun other items to put on the sandwich. The bun had a lot of grease because the bacon was spread over much of the sandwich. This was extra bad for me because I am allergy to pork, which includes bacon. It causes me to have head aches for days. Needless to say I left some of the sandwich on the plate. We do not have a shortage of good places to eat in Pensacola and I have eaten some good food at Cheddars but this chicken sandwich is awful . read more

We sat and ordered from the menu. Forty-five minutes later we still had no food and the server said the kitchen was slammed and she could not give us an estimated time for arrival for our meals. We left. read more

The food here looked great, and we were all happy with our meals. The service was really friendly and the decor was comfortable for supper. The only issue I had was that there was only one vegetarian item on the menu, and it was just a combination of a few sides. It was good, but not exactly what I was looking for in a full meal. read more

This place was really as low dollar as a fast food chain. My food arrived late and was barely warm upon arrival. It was almost an hour from ordering to food arrival. My blackened redfish was not blackened at all. The server was the only saving grace on this visit. Do yourself a favor and visit a different restaurant I will not stop back at this or maybe any other cheddars. The guy beside me said his soup was cold and very salty. read more

I recently moved to Foley so this is a bit of a drive for a meal but when ever I think of a reason to drive to Pensacola I incorporate a trip to Cheddar's. Consistently good service, ample portions and great food. Their Monty Cristo is amazing so many places try and fail at this but Cheddar's does a great job. I would recommend splitting it and sharing an appetizer. The chicken fried steaks and chicken fried chicken are also good actually everything I've seen there looks good. read more

Great atmosphere and the people are really really nice. And the servers and the host are excellent! I come here every year that I am here at Pensacola and I never had a problem! I enjoyed the Monte Cristo! It was devoured in short order!! We brought friends and quickly noticed the staff is friendly and courteous.

Not the take out best experience. I ordered a steak and a few sides to go. It was only 5:30 when I ordered over the phone but they were already out of several of their sides. Originally the staff thought my order wasn't ready when I arrived and forgot about me for almost half an hour. When I finally got my food it turned out that my order had been ready but they "just didn't see it." Food was not warm when I got it home. Cameron was our server. I have ate at the chedders in mobile Alabama and this was a completely different experience. Cameron had a "get to know me card" with fun facts about him on one side the other had recommended items. I noticed employees helping bust tables when it was not their tables. Everyone was nice and smiling. At the end of our meal when we got the check we got a recipe. At mobile we didn't receive. That made it a memorial experience by that small piece of paper. Food is wonderful. Servers are great. The person with the snotty attitude about veterans discounts needs to stop expecting special discounts. My husband is a disabled veteranand we do not expect businenesses to bend over backwards to show thier respect the veterans. If all they care abiut is getting a discount........go to Dennys. My boyfriend and I went for lunch and everything was great. The food was tasty and the service was good. The place was clean and the atmosphere was nice. Got seated right away, and the food came out quickly. The spinach dip was fantastic when it first came out while it was hot (not as good once it cooled down, so eat it right away). We both ordered the sirloin & shrimp, which was delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly, and was very tender. The fried shrimp was twice the size of the grilled shrimp, and both were flavorful. We left feeling very full and satisfied. And the prices weren't too bad, either. It was my first time here, and I really enjoyed it. read more

Food was decent. It took more than 20 minutes for the soup to come out. ...let alone the food. Service is not what you would expect from somewhat with this much hype. We had a steak and ribs that was average compared to places like longhorns and texas roadhouse. The steal was cooked slightly off but not erribly or of range. The portions were ok. The flavoring just did not agree with us.....others might like it. I would not recommend this place if you had to wait. ...however its passable if there is no line. read more

Island Tiki drink? Fine. Onion Rings? Great. Blackened Redfish Sandwich? Great. Being able to watch that cool fish tank while I eat? Great. The smart-ass hipster waiter calling 2 men and 1 woman "guys" over and over again? Unacceptable. Customers are "folks" or "you all". NOT "guys". Got it? That same waiter actually saying i was "basic" for ordering mac and cheese for my side dish? Screw off, asshat. I'll make sure to never bring my "basic" self that spent about $50 for lunch to your restaurant ever again. Quickly seated for lunch and served attentively by Geno, our waiter. We had fancy margarita drinks this time (pretty and tasty), warm and delicious spinach and artichoke chip with warm chips. I had baked potato soup and half a sandwich-it was tasty. My daughter had fish and rice off the lighter side menu (fish is swai) she said it was a little chewy. I'm really not one to complain..... however .... me and my boyfriend went out to dinner and saw it packed . We are the type to be completely okay with sitting at a bar for dinner. Both bartenders were working behind the bar . The lady bartender really took FOREVER to get a water to both of us (I ended up getting the water and my boyfriend never got one ) . Drinks were amazing and decently priced. We both ordered a sirloin med rare.... it came out raw to point I couldn't even cut into my eat it was so tough and Purple. Took forever for one of the bartenders to check on us as we had the big mounds of raw steak pushed away from us at the end of the bar. They come over and we let them Know our steaks were raw and the lady bartender waited on the manager to take off "our steaks" . However we receive the bill with both meals on it . I immediately get up and request a manager at the host stand. The manager came over and got it straight and the lady bartender insisted she thought it was only my steak that was bad . EVEN IF THATS THE CASE , MY STEAK WAS STILL ON THE BILL IN FULL. So I'm kinda curious as to if the manager even Did anything to the bill the first time . I will not return there again . Last night was my first and last time eating here. The onion rings were excellent; however, I ordered one of their so-called fan favorites, the Monte Cristo. I haven't had a good Monte Cristo in 25 years and I still haven't had a good one. As Bobby Flay says fried food isn't all that bad if done right. Nobody at this restaurant knows who Bobby Flay is because this sandwich was so greasy, I could have wrung it out. We were a table of 5 and the server stood at one end of the table each time he was there and asked everyone to pass the dish to the correct person. The server did not serve. First let me say that our waitress April made our night. Our family of 4 came here for dinner and was seated right away. However, once we sat down we waited at least 10 minutes and 8 waitress to pass by us before April came up and greeted us even though we were not sitting in her section. She realized we had been waiting long and decided to help us out. In the middle of taking our order another waitress Sherra showed up, interrupted our order and very rudely took over. We were so shocked with this interaction it wasn't until after April left that we realized what had just happened. We told Sherra we'd like April back and she said April had been cut for the night and was going home, which was a lie and she walked away without getting April back to the table. We spoke to the manager Ben, but it didn't seem like he cared about what just happened, although he said he was dealing with it and assured us Sherra would not be allowed to return to our table. I will say the food was pretty good and again, if it weren't for April, we would've gotten up and left. She really changed the night around and I hope the manager did a bit more than just talk to Sherra. It was the most ridiculous thing any of us has ever experienced. read more

I was having the crispy chicken salad and my friend was having the quesadillas and both are delicious! I'm here on a sad from DC and stopped in to get something to eat. I've now been here 3 time and still haven't had a thing to eat, but the team was great! 1st time- shorty after the opened we went for dinner. Long wait but it was worth it for somewhere new. We were sat, ordered our drinks, appetizers and food. Drink came out super fast. Our server had never served before and with the place being new we did not expect perfection. 30 min in to waiting for our appetizers, every table around us had been served, we flagged down our server who said our food was on its way.... we never saw her again. 20 min later a Manger came and told us our food was coming.... never saw her again either. 45min later we left $10 on the table for the drinks and left. 2nd time- nearly the exact same as the first. Almost 2 hours, no food. Paid for our drinks and left. 3rd time, today we ordered the server told us the kitchen was running slow, no problem! I get it. Our appetizers never come, then a runner shows with 2 plates of food, but not what we ordered, so they took it back 10 min later 2 more plates come, still not what we ordred, completely diffrent menue items. A diffrent server shows up at our table and tells us our pervious server forgot to put our order in, re takes our order. 45 min later no appetizers, no meals. Flag down our server he said he would check on it, we see him running food to other tables but never comes back to us. Finally we got a manager paid for our drinks, she said she would comp, but I declined. I paid for them and we left. How the heck can one place jack up dinner so many times? Mind blowing! read more

STAY AWAY!!! Easily the worst dining experience in Pensacola. We, party of 7 w/3 kids, stopped in on a Saturday evening and waited 25 minutes for a table. Not bad at all for a Saturday at dinnertime. Waiter arrived and took drink orders and my wife also ordered onion rings. Waiter returned with drinks and took dinner orders. That was the last of the good service. It took well over 30 minutes for the dinner salads to arrive at the table, oh yeah, we had no silverware or napkins. My wife asked the manager for napkins and silverware, but none came until she asked 2 more waiters.Onion rings finally showed up at about the 40 minute mark, we forgot we even ordered them. At the 60 minute mark we still had no dinner so we got upto leave. I did ask to speak with the manager to pay for what we had received and she had no clue what was going on. read more

Second time I've been here and it was absolutely amazing. I got the steakhouse burger and my boy friend got the monte Cristo. The manager came by and asked how our food was. Only downside was our waitress only checked on us, like, 2 or 3 times. But the food is amazing. Make sure you come hungry though....... cause their food will fill you up. Went in and were greeted and seated right away. They even accommodated storing a stroller for us. Waiter (Tommy) was very friendly and helpful and did whatever he could to make sure we were satisfied with our meal. The food was excellent and came out hot. Such a variety-everyone was happy.
