Got an email from Cheddar's about their weekday family special starting at $19.99. The special we got was $24.99 and it included: 8 lemon pepper chicken breasts with Dijon mustard, 2 sides of your choice and 6 croissants. We chose mashed potatoes with gravy and broccoli casserole as our two sides. I placed the order online and it's was incredibly easy and straight to the point. When we arrived to pick up our order, a staff member approached our car with a face mask and gloves which I appreciated. It shows how serious their company is taking the CDC guidelines. The gentlemen brought our food in a tray so there's was absolutely no contact and before we knew it we were headed home. The food on the way home smelled like heaven! Well let me tell you that the smell did not disappoint! The food arrived hot and you can tell it was just made. Its been so long since I've had chicken breast that this definitely felt like a treat. It was extremely juicy and it tastes grilled which I loved. There mashed potatoes was so good and well, the broccoli casserole was my husband's favorite. This is my go-to place when I'm craving meat but I don't want to spend too much. We usually order the spinach dip as an appetizer because it's hand downs the best appetizer ever!! As for the main entree, I always get the Sirloin, I love how they cook it. I order it medium-well which is hard to do with a 6 oz steak but they make it possible. The coleslaw is one of my favorite sides from Cheddar's. It tastes so fresh, you have to give it a try. The loaded potato is pretty awesome too. My boyfriend orders the combination of half a rack of ribs and BBQ chicken. He absolutely loves it, it's a huge entree and it looks very appetizing. And for desert you have to try the chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream on top. It's the perfect combination, a warm baked cookie topped with a vanilla ice cream. Yummm! The service is fast here, even on the weekends. And the environment of the restaurant is really beautiful. I feel like the prices at Cheddar's are reasonable for the quality of the food that they offer. For a 3 course meal for both my boyfriend and I, our bill came out to $37. I'm a big fan of Cheddar's! My experience at Cheddar's has been so-so. Sometimes we get good service, sometimes we get great service. The restaurant itself is dim and is suitable for a causal date night or dinner with friends/family. The past few times I've come here, I ordered the croissants, lemon pepper white fish, grilled chicken pecan salad, grilled tilapia and shrimp with mango salsa, and baby back ribs. The ribs were okay, fish was delicious, and the salad was great! If you're trying to eat on the healthier side, the salads are delicious and filling. The portion size is very big, and could probably be 2 servings at least. Definitely don't skip out on the croissants! Had such a horrible experience at this location Friday night. Our group of friends loves cheddars we've been eating there since we lived in south Florida like 7 years ago. Friday night we came to this location because our friend graduated the police academy and she is obsessed with the spinach dip so we came here. Well originally we were suppose to get two servers since we had a party of 9 but the hostess had a little attitude and I guess never got one for us? Not quite sure but basically when we ordered almost everything was out. The spinach dip was out! We ended up staying anyway but we were upset with all the missing items. When our food came out one girl in our party basically never got her food until we all already were done and asking four our checks. Another girl asked for her steak medium well, and it came back RARE! When she told the server about it he said "no you said medium rare". He had a little attitude too. She had never said that and also on the receipt he rang up medium well. Also, when he took her steak back he literally brought back the same exact steak but cooked. She had cut her steak into pieces and put steak sauce on it and they literally took those little pieces and put them back on to cook... WHO DOES THAT!!!?? The server also took our croissants off the table and when one girl said "hey how do you know we are done with those" he handed it to her and she said no I'm just messing with you but you didn't ask, he said well you better take one now with that attitude you have. That is NO WAY to talk to your customers. Our friend who was pregnant, order salmon with two sides and one side they ran out of (mashed potatoes) so she asked for a Cesar salad to go. She never got it...ever. The only reason I'm giving 1 star is because I got a salad and you can't really mess that up. I would have gave two because the manager we spoke with was super friendly and sympathetic to everything that happened. She took care of two meals and had us all wrote down our emails to give us a gift card for the crappy experience we had one such a special night. My burger looked like it was sitting in a window with a heat lamp and my baked potato was literally ice cold, like it came out of the fridge. I asked for another and got one even colder. Their answer? On the house. Management needs to take a hard look at their kitchen staff and what these guys are doing because if they knew food was coming out like this they would be horrified. Just Okay. I expected the food to be a lot better because I've heard such great things from friends. Service was very good, the waiter knew his stuff and the appetizers were good as well but it is very hard to mess up cheese fries. My main dish was Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta. There were 4 pieces of shrimp in my dish. The sauce was very soupy and barely stuck to the meat or pasta. The pasta itself was over cooked (mushy) Everything was just off. I did have their mini desserts that come in shot glasses and it was good. It was a chocolate cake with very rich icing. This was not my first time at cheddars, just my first at the Orlando location. I have been here several times and each time I received GREAT Service. So kudos for keeping a staff that "gets it". The food is basic and tasty but nothing that is going to "WOW" you. This is a chain restaurant after all but one of the best choices you could make. You get a good quantity of quality food for a great price. They have a LARGE selection so this is a great place to go with a larger group or people who are notorious for not being able to decide on what type of food they want to "go out for". Soup, Salad, Sandwiches, Pasta, Fish, Steak and some unusual items (when is the last time you saw a Monte Cristo on a menu?) So far we've been to this Cheddar's twice and we adore the great service we receive. On our first visit we had Frankie. He was very attentive but not in an annoying way and very good paced service. The second visit Frankie wasn't there so we sat with Austin who also had great service and was attentive. My only negative is on BOTH occasions we were sat in the back of the restaurant in a not so clean section. We actually ended up getting the same section both times. Both times there were several dirty tables in the area and crumbs all over the carpet right near or under our table. My favorite drink the Texas Frozen Swirl makes me forgiving though lol. The food is great. I LOVE the broccoli and cheese casserole and pot pie was delicious as well. The honey butter croissants will make you fight someone over the last one. When we were seated it took about 20 minutes for our waiter to greet us even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Upon receiving our drink I had to ask for the fresh baked croissants the restaurant provides when seated. While that wasn't a problem the croissants themselves were way overcooked hard as a rock when everyone else next to us got fresh looking ones how they usually are. In addition to our croissants being over cooked, my mom and I both got the bacon burger and the cheese wasn't melted still being cold with the burger feeling Ice cold. In addition the fryer oil needed to be change judging off of the dark oily French fries. Nearing the end of our meal we ordered a to go order and waited almost 40 minutes to get it with us having to ask where it is. When more customers came in they were more prioritized than helping us. If it wasn't for the tablet being able to pay by your own self I'm not sure we would've made it out before the store closed. My experience with Cheddar's at this location is always a hit or miss. Sometimes I'll go and everything will be fantastic but then there are times why I question why I'm even there. The price is very good, if you want to go somewhere for a nice date that's affordable this is the place to go fellas or ladies (lol)! The two things that do not stay consistent would be the taste of the food and also service. The last two times that I've went, I ordered the lemon pepper chicken with a side of mac n cheese and fries. The fries always tends to be good but the mac n cheese was quite soggy. The chicken the first time was extremely moist and cook to perfection, the second time it was on the drier side in some areas of the chicken. Last but not least, the service. I've had amazing servers here but the last time that I went our server checked on us twice when the restaurant itself was not busy at all. There was no line, the restaurant was not packed as it usually is on the weekends. There was just no excuse for that. This was a horrible experience. I went last night went with a large group (about 15 people, close family and friends) for my birthday. The food took such a long time to come out, there were two stakes people order that were suppose to be medium rare that came out well done, a pasta dish that came out cold (which was sent back and someone else's pasta dish came out), and issues with the check. On top of it, we called the day before to let them know we were coming at 6:30 and even showed up early. We did not leave until 9:30. A dinner should not have take. That long. The service was good and the waiter was apologetic, but there's no reason this should have ever passed the kitchen expediter. Cheddar's has always been one of my favorite go-to restaurants when I want some good, fresh food and especially a great appetizer or dessert. The first time I've been to a Cheddars was in Fort Myers, FL and I recently discovered this Orlando location upon moving here. The food at Cheddar's seems to be pretty consistent. At the front of the restaurant is a TV that shows guests a beautifully presented way that the food is prepared. The food is prepared fresh and is always delicious and has reasonable prices. My favorite food to order at Cheddars is the onion rings appetizer (which is less than $6 and comes in an unbelievably HUGE portion with two dipping sauces that pair perfectly with the rings), chicken tenders, beer battered shrimp, the Philly cheese steak, chicken pot pie, grilled tilapia and shrimp, and the wonderfully amazing chocolate cake dessert. I've always been so in love with those onion rings and the chocolate cake. I would go JUST to get those two things (and I have). Last night I came with my fiancee and in laws. We came on a busy Saturday night and had to wait about 20 minutes. It took a few minutes to get greeted by our server. After getting our food, we realized none of us were given silverware/napkins. We had to wait about 10 minutes after getting our food to get silverware and napkins. I also asked for a side of pickles to go with my food and by the time it got to the table, it was another 10 minutes after and I didn't care to let my food sit and get super cold while waiting on these pickles. Because of this I can't give 5 stars. The food is very good as always, but the service was just lacking. Regardless, I'm still going to come back because the food great. read more

This place honestly is a hit or miss when it comes to both service and food. Personal recommendation would to be ask to be seated in the main dining room. I've had less than acceptable service every time I've been seated in the bar area. This place is great for drinks! The Painkiller is my favorite. They limit you to having only 2 due to the alcohol content. Honestly I think it could use a little more alcohol. This is a very affordable place if you're on a budget with decent food. I do like the fact they offer smaller portion sizes for some of their entrees. They are a scratch kitchen so everything is fresh and cooked to order. Some of my favorites are the Monte Christo, Chicken Fingers and the Pot Pie. Hopefully service will improve. Keep in mind this place gets packed quickly so if you're in a hurry I would suggest not going at peak hours. read more
