The first time we came to this location we were extremely unimpressed with the lack of service. Because of that we did avoid coming back for quite some time. We recently gave it another try and were more pleasantly surprised at how this visit went. To start, the food is decent. It's not something super special, but it's not terrible either. The menu selections are pretty generic, including things like chicken tenders and wraps. The food came out quickly and was warm upon arrival. The portions are very large so we had leftovers too! Our service was much better this most recent visit, but still lacked a little bit. We never got refills on our drinks and were only checked on once or twice. When it came time to pay they have the devices at the tables where you can pay at the table. We noticed the server telling other people how to pay and asking them to complete a survey on the device after paying. When it came time for us to pay, she was "kind enough" to help us pay on the device, but she never mentioned the survey to us. Rather after handing us the card back, she held onto the device tapping through what seemed like a survey on the screen. Never have we seen a server complete their own survey!! So I'm going to be honest here, I really wanted to give this place a good review, but overall it just wasn't enough. Our server seemed like such a nice young man, but he wasn't knowledgeable about the menu at all, including the drink menu. When we got our food, it wasn't half bad! The creaminess of the Cajun pasta was great and the fish dish was tasteful and light! The Buffalo wrap wasn't too spicy, and just right for kids. The sauce for the ribs was really great, but sadly, the meat was a bit on the drier side. What really knocked down this review was the service. But our server didn't check in at all till near the end and I had to put in another drink round through the tablet since I couldn't find him. What really sucked was trying to flag the service staff down using the call server button, only to have to flag another server down. Our table section wasn't busy and there were empty tables around us. So it didn't seem busy, but to be fair maybe they were understaffed? Really wanted to enjoy my experience here but it just was not great. The service and food were good, except for the honey butter croissants that looked like someone stepped on them. The ones that came out after ours looked good so not sure why they didn't just wait for those. The carpet and booth were in rough shape. It was just croissants with honey butter, but dang! This has to be on my top list for bread! I got the lighter portion of salmon with a side salad and coke slaw. The salad was pretty good! The homemade ranch was delicious! The salmon was a bit small. The portion wasn't what I expected. The coleslaw had an odd sweetness that I didn't like much. I've been to Cheddars at different locations before, but for some reason, this location didn't do it for me. The food wasn't as flavorful and fresh. I got the ribs and chicken fingers. The ribs were good, but was missing something. Chicken fingers were good, same as any other locations. We had a group of 7 adults and our food took a while to come out. I understand because it was the day before fall semester started for UCF and families, freshmans and reunions were happening. My wife and I ordered a family meal to share, which included 4 Half-racks of Ribs, 2 Broccoli Cheese Casserole, and 6 Honey Butter Croissants! We started with the croissants, half of the tasty sides, and 1 half-rack each; and, had a great meal outside by our pool (my wife did curbside pickup.) Our daughter made a meal of the remaining 4 croissants. We ate the rest of the casserole and ribs another day, reheating the items in the oven so they were warmed through. Cheddar's is a chain restaurant that has some decent food and fair prices! I've been here for several occasions with large parties and they've been nothing but accommodating. They have a good chicken pot pie and their cocktails are served up extra large. I've witnessed some pretty happy customers on their way out of the restaurant and I'm assuming they had one of those drinks. I would also recommend their chicken tenders and caesar salad. The salads come with a honey butter croissant that is so good I consider it my dessert. Some things that I didn't like as much were the grilled shrimp (very small portion) and broccoli casserole. All I all, this is a good family friendly restaurant chain. If you have kids, they will enjoy staring at the fish tank in the restaurant. My parents swear by this place but I wasn't thrilled. The two best things I had were the honey croissant and the Maui margarita. I'd have both of these things again any day, but my meal wasn't good. The grilled lemon pepper chicken, though moist, was very bland. The rice was salty or bland depending on the bite. I was accidentally given the string beans, which were honestly awful. A large group of us descended on Cheddars at 8:30 on a Sunday night and the service was impeccable.Cheddars saw that we all wanted to sit together and made it happen (priceless). They also observed that this group needed a strong waitstaff to "herd the cats" so to speak and get us our food quickly. They sent us Natalie. Natalie is an Angel in disguise. She organized us and helped us navigate the ordering process like a BOSS! My husband and I came in for a quick lunch at the bar. I got the light date Miso Salmon and he got a salad. Mine came out fast and hot. I think my husband wished he got the Salmon. I can say that for $9 that was prob the best lunch for the money I've had in a long time. The fish was nice and I ate every bite of it. This place used to be the spot on a Friday night. Now it's anything but. We walked in and there were many open tables but were told it'd be a 30-45 minute wait. I don't mind waiting but when the restaurant has many visible open tables. I ordered the pasta with shrimp and the food came out looking like it's been sitting for over 10mins. It just didn't look appetizing. I noticed that one of my shrimp had been missing, except the tail. Yup - it appears someone ate my shrimp. My wife's buffalo chicken wrap wasn't made as advertised. We were not happy at all with the service or food at this restaurant! The waitress was very sour and never asked for refills. It took me some time to look over the menu since it was our first time at the restaurant and she got mad when I asked for a minute or 2. She also took her time in getting us the croissants which are to be given with our drinks... Nevertheless, my husband's burger was over cooked and the bacon was burned, our daughter's kids chicken tenders were too spicy for her to eat and my shrimp still had the tails on for my Alfredo pasta. We went to Orlando to visit our son who is going to university of central Florida and wanted to take him some place nice to sit down and enjoy the conversation and we loved the place and food. The food is freshly made and to taste and the has a wonderful drink selection. The service was efficient and the rest rooms are clean and well maintained. I definitely recommend if you want to take your family out for a nice meal. We ordered the triple sampler, potato skins, chicken tenders and Wisconsin cheese curds. The chicken tenders were very good. Every thing else was not impressive. My husband ordered the ribs and chicken tenders, the sides, mac & cheese and red beans and rice, were served in the tiniest of plates, looked like tea saucers and they were not that good. I ordered the homemade chicken pot pie with a side of ceasar salad both were good. The pastry top of the pie was awwsome. Got an email from Cheddar's about their weekday family special starting at $19.99. The special we got was $24.99 and it included: 8 lemon pepper chicken breasts with Dijon mustard, 2 sides of your choice and 6 croissants. We chose mashed potatoes with gravy and broccoli casserole as our two sides. I placed the order online and it's was incredibly easy and straight to the point. When we arrived to pick up our order, a staff member approached our car with a face mask and gloves which I appreciated. It shows how serious their company is taking the CDC guidelines. The gentlemen brought our food in a tray so there's was absolutely no contact and before we knew it we were headed home. The food on the way home smelled like heaven! Well let me tell you that the smell did not disappoint! The food arrived hot and you can tell it was just made. Its been so long since I've had chicken breast that this definitely felt like a treat. It was extremely juicy and it tastes grilled which I loved. There mashed potatoes was so good and well, the broccoli casserole was my husband's favorite.
