NOT THE QUALITY IF OLD, DO NOT EAT THIS NASTY FOOD !!!! I used to eat here a lot a few years back. The food and service my family received recently - horrible! I ordered the fried shrimp and chicken strip combo (typically, a fried fish and shrimp combo is offered but not at Cheddar's) with fries and broccoli casserole. My fries were burnt, I mean crazy brown and my broccoli salad tasted mushy, over done. My daughter ordered a lunch combo chicken quesadillas, salad, with an order of salmon to top her salad. Her salmon came on a bed of rice so I am sure I was over charged for that. My daughter's quesadillas were mushy and her salad had a foul taste with brown edges, not fresh. It had an old bag taste. The food they served us at approx 4PM that day should have NEVER left their kitchen. It was not crowded so I'm unsure why their was such a lack of attention to detail on our food?!!!! To this store's management (May) don't interact with a dissatisfied customer, with an attitude of concern, like your intent is to address the issue fairly via refund or gift card etc. and do nothing! The manager (May) promises to turn this complaint in to "corporate" to approve our refund or gift card but no one gets back to you for your money wasted. I ABSOLUTELY WASTED $27 plus dollars. Cheddars is usually a slam dunk, but this time the service left much to be desired. Myself and two friends were seated at our table and received drinks and water fairly quickly. That's when the service went down hill. After the water it was at least 15 minutes before we saw our server again. We had to ask the hostess to put in our appetizer order. Our server, who was wrapping up a ten top right next to us, walked passed us and took the order of a table seated after us. They're food obviously came out first. Without checking on us after our food did arrive, we received our checks without even being asked about coffee or dessert. The only thing I find is a pain in the a** is that you have to wait to get a table and it is very noisy in there. Cheddars needs a major overhaul! We went there last night and it was not a good experience. First, we walk in around 6:30 and I notice the hostess seems stressed but I assume it's getting busy and she's swamped. No worries. We get a table, there's 4 of us and we wait about five minutes before the server comes over, announces she's training someone and she'll be right back to take our drink orders. 9 minutes later she brings partner, takes drink order and cards me for my drink order but gets offended when I'm happy about it. I say I love it because it never happens anymore and she got a little defensive. But oh well no worries. Fountain drinks take about 20 minutes. My bar drink took a bit longer. We finally get drinks and then finally they're ready to take our food order. The lead server (the one training a partner) treats my daughter as if she can't hear her order and my daughter had to repeat herself a few times with the lady just staring at her. When waiting on kids you do have to lean in to hear them better but being unfriendly to my kids did not win points with me. Anyway... food comes . My tilapia with shrimp was extra salty and sat under the heat lamp too long but we were hungry so I didn't complain. So dinner was "meh". We placed an order for the cookie dessert on the tablet. Once again it upset our lead server for some reason but she came by to tell us it would take 13 to 18 minutes. Ok no worries. It took 30 minutes. Also we asked for no nuts, no whip, no cherry. It came with all of that anyway. Thank God we're not allergic!!!! While we were waiting for this dessert I observed another table complain to our lead server that their drinks were taking too long. Here's what really ticked me off... that lead server was also the one serving us and we know she was training someone. She totally threw her trainee under the bus and told that table it was the new girls fault! I think if you're training you're responsible since you're more experienced so lady take responsibility for Pete's sake and don't throw that poor girl under the bus like that! We decided to stop in for my friend's birthday dinner. Even though I suggested otherwise. I have not had terrible service like this in years. Our waitress had no clue about the menu, could care less to find out and was overall unwelcoming. We ordered appetizers that had to be sent back. And food that was beyond subpar. The ribs were fatty as I don't know what with little to no meat. The New Orleans pasta came with shrimp chicken parts and Tangled sausage. He was very unprofessional, not personable, could never remember who ordered what (it was just 3 of us), and he would throw things onto the table in a hurry to run off somewhere else. The food came out cold and my chicken breasts were slightly uncooked. The waiter was very willing to send things back to the kitchen so he'd grab the plate and hurry along in a rush. I was introduced to Cheddar's restaurant by a close friend of mine earlier this year. I had never heard of Cheddar's but found it to be pretty good. Last week, my husband and I took the kids out for dinner to Cheddar's and they loved it. The menu has something for everyone. I have yet to order anything I didn't like. Although I can't remember what my children or husband ate, I must tell you that I ordered a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad w/ their crossisant rolls (w/ honey butter) and OMG, it's delish! The grilled chicken caesar pasta salad is heavily drenched in caesar dressing so I would strongly recommend eating the salad in its entirety or sharing it. I would also recommend asking for the dressing on the side or either request that they go lite on the dressing. The penne pasta is a bit bland, but it's certainly okay because the grilled taste of the chicken makes that dish pop. You know you can always try it for yourself. I frequented Cheddars a few times during my stay in Kentucky, and it was always a pleasant experience. I have had the Monte Cristo sandwich, some chipotle wrap item that was quite delicious, and of course their Chicken and Waffles. I always have to request an extra side of syrup but it has been remarkable every time. The staff was nice, talkative and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. The waitresses spoke to my party for awhile and it was nice receiving the high quality kind of service that we did. I'd go back there in a heartbeat. read more

Our oldest grandson was born with severe food allergies (Diary, Eggs, Tree Nuts, Strawberries, Shell Fish) to name the more severe. Due to this, his mother prepared all his food with diligence, and the thoughts of eating at a restaurant weren't ever an option due to possible cross contamination of the foods or use of milk, eggs, etc. during the preparation. Over the past 14 years, thanks to God's healing touch and wisdom from the Allergies Specialist in Cincinnati, OH., he now is able to enjoy most foods with the exception of tree nuts. Yesterday, we celebrated an early 14th birthday meal at the Elizabethtown Cheddars. The manager Mae and server Jessie went above and beyond to assure there was no cross contamination with any tree nuts in the food preparation. My grandson enjoyed a trio appetizer, an amazing steak and shrimp meal and those melt in your mouth croissants! The attention to our comfort and needs far exceeded any of our expectations and we left feeling like royalty!!! My grandson wanted to celebrate his birthday there and first we had to wait an hour to come in . Not because of covid. The whole back of restaurant was empty. Tried to call tonight (a Wednesday) around 8:00 pm to place an order for pick-up as my wife had her heart set on a Monte Cristo sandwich (those things are delicious). I was immediately put on hold and stayed there listing to the worst easy listening music I've ever experienced for a full 20 minutes before hanging up and calling back to speak to a manager. I was told neither of the managers on duty were available to speak to me. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but I cannot believe that for 20 minutes no one had the minute and a half to spare to take my order. Great food and friendly service. The main issue I found that the restaurant could work on was cleanliness. Upon going into the women's bathroom, I was hit with a very distinct sewer smell. I went into the only open stall that wasn't in use and had to walk around multiple pieces of toilet paper on the ground and hair (?). When I went to wash my hands, both soap dispensers were out and I opted to use hand sanitizer as it was my only choice. I had the Key West Shrimp & Chicken. While it was amazing, my friends steak was tiny and not cooked how he liked it, he also ordered fries and received Mac n Cheese instead. We would have sent it back but we were on our way to a concert. The waiter was nice at first, but as began to see how unhappy my friend was, he began to slip and seem to care less about our happiness as a customer. I absolutely love Cheddars! I've quite q bit of their appetizers and entrees. The best side they have that I get every time is their broccoli casserole. Everything they make is from scratch. Terrible. We sat in the bar for 15 minutes before anyone took our drink order. Then ordered our food - one chicken sandwich, one burger, cooked medium. The food took almost a half hour to come out. The burger was RAW, not undercooked, but RAW. Red and cold and slimy, and falling apart on the bun. The kitchen made a new one, and after about 20 minutes it was delivered to our table by a waiter. Our waiter told us the manager was working on it, had educated the cook, and would be our to speak with us.
