We were on a short vacation in Kentucky and took a friend out to dinner. Cheddar's has always been one of my favorite restaurants. We often visit one need we live at Gulf Coast Town Center. It has always been excellent. However, in Elizabethtown our experience was much different. Took forever to get our food.....we were told twice by our waiter that they were waiting on the steak. The waiter notified the manager of issues with the order. When our food was delivered the steak was the only item hot. The chicken Alfred, broccoli and baked potato were all cold. Manager was also notified and cold items were taken back and replaced later with hot items. We had a time issue so had to ask for to go boxes. We received no apologies or compensation from the manager for the issues. Won't be going back there that's for sure. This is the worst place I've ever eaten. Shocked because the one in Louisville is good, or at least it was a few years ago. My family went to eat in Elizabethtown Ky Cheddars. I ordered a burger came out raw after ordered well done. Sent it back came out raw again on the middle dripping with mayo. I about puked. My daughter ordered pasta it came out with chip salsa on it. She ate one bite. My other daughters Mac and cheese was wet like they didn't drain it. My husbands chicken strips where not cooked. Not a bad meal for 42 bucks. Never again. read more

Every previous experience here had been fine, but Saturday was hugely disappointing. The restaurant was dirty- the floor, the tables, and flies were all over the place. Our server took at least ten minutes to come to the table; 20 minute wait for water and tea; and 30 minute wait for cold food (the gravy was congealed!) Then, to add insult to injury, my debit card was charged twice for this debacle! Will NEVER return and advise everyone else to stay away. read more

We have been to Cheddar's many times since their opening in Etown. The food is always fabulous and the waiters are always very friendly and helpful. I only wish it was a little larger so the wait times during the weekend weren't so long! read more

Not going back. Waitress took our order which included coffee. Asked if we wanted cream with the coffee. Yes. Got coffee, no cream and waitress walked away. Finally got her attention again and asked for cream. Waited another 10 minutes. Got cream, opened napkins for utensils and no spoon. Waited and waited for our order. People came in 15 minutes after us and ordered and got their meal. We were still watiing. People came in and took table across from us 20 minutes after we arrived, placed order, got food, ate, and left and we were still waiting. Complained numerous times to the waitress and were told food was being cooked. Complained to the manager before leaving. He apologized for the delay and that was it. This was some of the worst service I have ever experienced. They lost a customer. I won't be going back read more

As a former employee in the food industry I understand that Friday nights are usually busy so I try to take in consideration such events. However, this was not the case on my last visit. My friend and I took a seat on the patio (it was a beautiful evening) and I made sure the hostesses knew we were there. We sat at a dirty table with glasses everywhere for about 20 mins till we waved down someone bussing. After placing our drink order we waited another 20 mins for our drinks & menus. Long story short, we should have left. The food was just okay & our server was MIA most of our meal. Considering its summer & people like to eat outside they should try harder to accommodate guests! On top of the crappy service, our lazy server looked like she hit the meth pipe one too many times. NOT APPEALING! Sorry but our experience was not one I would expect. I too have been to the Cheddars in Louisville on Outer loop and always had excellent service and excellent food. This time since they finally opened one where we live in Elizabethtown, we went to a place we knew we would enjoy but were sadly disappointed. We waited 45 minutes for a table which was fine, it was extremely crowded so waiting was expected. It's what's inside that counts. The waitress took our drink order and after 15 minutes I got my Iced Tea but there was no drink for my fiance. After 15 more minutes past they brought her water and another 10 minutes brought her drink but it was not what she ordered so we sent it back. My salad came after half an hour and right behind the salad girl was my meal. My Fiance did not get her soup and still does not have her drink. Halfway through the meal the waitress said her soup would be here shortly but by then we said forget it. I jumped up to go to the bar to see what was the hold up on the drink but I was told to sit down and not make a scene. We were almost finished with our meal before the drink finally arrived and then still was not correct. This is unacceptable in the most mediocre of restaraunts and I certainly would not have expected it here. read more

Our family ate at Cheddars this past week. The service was good. We noticed what appeared to be a menu different than the ones we have in the Dallas area and for some of the items the prices were higher. We ordered a variety of entrees including chicken fried steak which was served as a square---never saw that before and the tilapia fish which came with a piece so thin and so small it was actually tough. The veggies were good however there was something missing from the taste that we have become accustomed to. My spouse complained that the rice served her had many uncooked hard grains This food just was not the same quality we have experienced in Dallas. A rib and chicken strip platter looked good however I did not eat from it. A hamburger ordered at our table was only partially consumed and the bread was left virtually untouched, Bottom line is the meal could have been better as we know Cheddars can do an excellent job. This location seems to be short on providing that excellent dining experience. In the past we have always encountered a large crowd, sometimes waiting was required. The restaurant is very attractive inside/out, new and clean. Parking is ample but crowded. The menu has a variety of items that will interest everyone in your party. We have eaten here several times in both large and small parties. The full service bar has an extensive menu and the mixed drinks are well done. The food is great and the drinks are great. The one area that needs looking at is the seating system and the training of the waiters. Customers are waiting with many tables needing to be cleared or people to be seated. This past week we waited 45 minutes and noted during that time there were 11 to 17 open tables. Waiters were waiting for their tables to fill. During our meal, tables near us remained uncleared (dirty dishes and all) for over 35 minutes. When we asked our waiter what the special was, he said had to check eventhough it was about 7 p.m. and dinner service was well underway. Also, when we asked what beer was on tap, he said he did not know. The floor manager does not walk around to check what is going on, she remains at the hostess counter and appears to be oblivious to the table rotations. The quality of the service dramatically improves if you are eating in the bar area. The servers appear to be more experienced and professional. Overall, great food and great bar menu. We are and will continue to be regular customers. read more

i have been to cheddars 3 times. the first time was an awesome experience. the food is reasonably priced and its delicious and you get a lot for your money. my first waitress was good the second one was horrible and the 3rd one i let slide because she was new. the crossants are so delicious. i really like the strawberry lemonade. i didnt like the shrimp at all. first i got grilled and it tasted dirty and underseasoned then i got the fried and it just tasted dirty. the appitizers are good i reccomend the queso with beef. i plan to return this time i know which waitress i want for better service and i know not to order the shrimp. read more
