Food was good, but they have serious turn over time management problems. While I understand they are the new novelty and are busy, part of servicing customers is having enough staff to service your seating area, and keep said area clean. Hostess wasn't so great to deal with, but the waitress was nice enough. May try again in a few months, but hope they get their act together. read more

I'm not sure why this is called scratch kitchen it's a normal cheddars. But it's SO good. We have actually been several times and the food has always been great. My husband and I decided to grab an early dinner at Cheddars on a whim since we were in the area and had not eaten at this location. We were seated immediately. The hostess was pleasant and greeted us with a smile. Our server was very neutral. Obviously anyone would like a bubbly personality and perhaps a little more attentiveness in a server but I am not judging the place based on this. She did her job on a basic level. We had our drinks refilled and our food was quickly delivered by a different, pleasant server. You have to keep in mind this isn't fine dining, it's a glorified chain restaurant. We ordered a drink, an appetizer, and two entrees. All under $30. It was delicious! The decor was awesome too. So all in all, we would go again. Had friends in town this past week we decided to try Cheddars because we had never had it before, it was delicious. The server was absolutely wonderful. Our glasses were never empty and she checked back often even though you could tell she was extremely busy. I had the blackened red fish with crab sauce on rice pilaf, it was great! If I could rate my experience a zero tonight I would. While walking in two tables were already complaining and one was complaining to the manager about waiting for over an hour for her food. We stayed anyways and let alone after an hour and 26 minutes I sent my boyfriend in to cancel the order because I was fed up. The manager, who should be fired immediately cane out to apologize. She made things worse because no action was taken. We weren't even given silverware!! read more

Has one of the best country fried steaks in the area. Really good service, since it was our first visit they gave us a special treat welcoming us. Their hand crafted lemonade was a good little drink to have for being homemade. Overall i'd give this five stars because their staff was really friendly showing no disrespect or rushing you to get out. read more

First time at this establishment, and it was a rocky start. I ordered a jim beam and coke and it showed up with a foreign object in it. (Strike one) that was quickly replaced with a clean well tasting and well mixed drink. Then my salad arrived with hair in the salad and the ranch (Strike two) but my entire arrived with nothing wrong with it. The manager arrived and comped my dinner and apologizing for the experience. As far as restaurants in Clarksville, this one is one of the best. Clarksville is filled with sticky steakhouses and chain restaurants, but this one is pleasantly surprising. We really enjoyed our lunch here. We got the chips and quest dip to start and got refills when we finished the chips! I got the Hawaiian chicken salad, which was huge and really tasty. It was really flavorful and I enjoyed it the next day also, since I took half of it home. Someone else in my group got the ribs and really enjoyed them. They're a specialty at Cheddar's apparently. My best friend and I stopped in while visiting my folks. Right from the start the Wendall (host) was quite possibly the best host I've ever met in my life!! Then our sever Aleena was absolutely FANTASTIC!! Very very accommodating, professional, suggestive, and pleasant.. this is unheard of now a days!! Decided to try the place late in the evening when there was not a line out the door. Sat in the bar...took 10 minutes to get a waitress then 15 minutes after we ordered drinks to get them. Ordered Santa Fe spinach dip which was brought out by someone in the kitchen and was barely warm. Waitress gave us the bill without ever asking if we needed anything else. Horrible experience...will not be back. No idea why people are waiting in line to get in the door unless it is still "new" to them. read more

My wife and I arrived an hour within closing time on a Monday night. It was a few days before the 1st which seemed to explain the lack of guests in the dining room. Our server was very polite. He quickly took our drink and appetizer order and then later our entree order. We were very pleasantly suprised to see that the trio appetizer (nachos, mozzarella sticks & chicken tenders) looked exactly like the picture on the table tent and tasted delicious. Our entrees came shortly thereafter and were equally as tasty. My wife ordered the Philly cheesesteak and I had a bacon cheeseburger with mushrooms. Despite dining kind of late, the server never made us feel rushed. The ambiance and decor of the place is really nice and you can literally feel the fresh air due to their serious abundance of plants all throughout. Awesome experience. Haven't been to Cheddar's in 3+ years. It did not disappoint. The sweet tea is delicious. My husband enjoyed the Texas Sweet Tea. The Chicken Tenders and Fried Shrimp were fresh, hot and amazing. I love Cheddar's for what it is. It is a restaurant chain that serves lots of food for a low price. The quality isn't the best but the food is consistent and tastes good. The staff has always been friendly. Expect to wait for a table and the service may be a bit on the slow side since they are always at capacity.
