My partner and I have tried to give this place a chance on two different occasions. Each time, the service was absolutely horrible. From the host stand to the table service, the staff showed complete disregard for their patrons. The first time we went there, we left after waiting at our table for 25 minutes and no one came over to us. The second time, we powered through and waited at our table for about 10 minutes before the server came over. We probably saw him a total of three times throughout the course of our visit. Mind you the restaurant wasn't busy during this time and they were staffed well enough to have people just standing around shooting the breeze. One of the other waiters did stop by to check on us a couple of times but he was serving a large party so we tried not to bother him much. The food was okay but couldn't make up for the terrible experience overall. read more

I ate here along with some co-workers on a Wednesday at 11:30am. The food was what I expected from a chain restaraunt, so I really can't complain. I had the chicken tenders platter with french fries and baby carrots. My co-workers seemed pleased with their selections, but the service was slow; however, the place is still relatively new and it was really packed. This place is comparable to a Ruby Tuesday's or Applebees in my opinion. read more

As others have stated, there is a long wait in line for dine in...but we have learned out lesson and either order on the phone or go to the bar to place a carryout order. I must admit that when I did dine in, the main floor leading up the bathroom/kitchen use to be VERY slippery. (I use a cane and almost fell-hopefully that has been rectified) The food is delicious to me and my wife who is VERY picky, LOVES Cheddar's chicken strips and broccoli and cheese casserole (they are pretty good) Their alcohol drinks prices are exceptionally cheap for the amount of liquor in those very tasty drinks! read more

Awesome place for comfort food. The food was so super fresh, hot and tasty. I feel in love with it with it on my first dining experience. I had heard so much about it but it is so out of my way. We ended up here after a funeral and my entire family loved it. The price is amazing. I nearly hit the floor after receiving the check for me, my mom, my sister and my children. I was feeing like Oprah and almost felt like I could cover everyone's check. . . you get a meal, you get a meal, you get a meal!!! Then I came back to reality and figure that most of my family is extremely wealthy and didn't need helping paying for their meals. LOL. But seriously this place rocks! read more

Went with family. First time. Heard a lot about it and the place was crowded. I figured the food would be good. A lot of people clamoring for seats. Our waitress Kentyra stopped by took drink orders. Took a while to get the food. Average at best. Loaded potato skins that we got that Kentyra insisted we're loaded. "Don't you see the bacon bits" she snipped. I think I know what bacon bits when I see and eat them. Good salmon and strawberry salad but you can't mess that up too bad. No fries for the burgers until after the burger was done. Very small portions on plates that looked rushed. Too crowded, multiple tables unbused and a rude inattentive server. Must have been a bad day but I get the feeling it was normal Sunday. I'll pass. That will be my first and LAST visit.... read more

Arrived at 2 PM today with no waiting and had the absolute best server I have ever head upon my visits there. Jamese was so attentive and awesome, extremely friendly with a wonderful sense of humor and personality. The food was great, the server that deliver the food was extremely friendly as well. My friends and I truly enjoyed our meals and the only thing we wish for was bigger stomachs to eat it all. read more

The food was okay, but was not hot. The value is good. The decor was nice. The dining room was noisy but not unbearable. The service was horrible. We were seated at least 20 minutes while servers worked all around us without even acknowledging us. We finally asked one of them if we could place an order. Soup and entree came out together. Kitchen staff were in the dining room trying to pick up patrons the entire time we were there. We really want to like this place. We may give it one more try later. read more

Waited 40 mins before receiving our drinks. They had to figure out how to make a lemon drop. My steak was overcooked but the manager took care of it right away & when my new steak came out she personally stood beside me while I tried it to make sure it was ok. I really appreciated the attentiveness. I wasn't made aware of the fact that the broccoli casserole was made with rice. While it was good I didn't need 2 starches and it was lacking on the broccoli. I believe the waitress Ronita was new & a bit overwhelmed because she wasn't as attentive as she should've been. Despite the hiccups the food was good & reasonably priced so I would be willing to give them another try. read more

I have tried to get in twice and the third time the wait was finally not long. The waiter my table had was great. But my aunt had paper in her steak and ribs were overcooked they did not want to take it off of the check so they kept saying can we replace it. Then my cousin had hair in her food which sucks because as a first time customer my fish tacos were great. We even had a waitress tell us not to come on Sundays because that is when they were the busiest and could not fully operate correctly but from what I have heard no one would return back because the experience was horrible. read more

Cheddars is the name of this resturant, but it's real name should be Crappers.. because everything about them, from their service to their menu is so damn crappy . lets start off with their wait times.. i was given a wait time of 35 minutes.... which turned into an hour and 10 minutes.. when i asked the hostess why i hadnt been seated, she replied , idk. what do you want me to do about it" with an aditude. but lets pretend that this never happened... so immeadiately after being seated, it took about 10 minutes for a waiter to even take our drink orders.. after this , we ordered an appetizer that was not suprisingly burnt.... If all of these things werent bad enough, the food was super greasy.. at best, i rate everything about cheddars as simply marginal. And thats me being generous... read more

Came here because it's convenient for the family. Told the hostess we were a party of three she walked away and never came back two other parties got seated after I let them know I was already waiting. Poor service in my book. Once I changed my mind to be seated and ask to get our meals to-go I was pointed in the direction of the carry out line. Not a good way to correct an already bad situation. Do better! read more

After seeing the crowds that gather I figured this would be a pretty decent place to eat. In the past couple of years whenever my wife and I have tried to eat there there's been an hour or so wait. Today was the day we finally went. I have to say but the food was sub par and the service mediocre. We will not be returning. read more

Unfortunately my second time here wasn't a great experience. I waited very long ( 30 min) for my food. I asked for my burger to be cooked well done and they bought it back medium well. They gave my the second burger the same way so I never ate because I didn't want to wait any longer. My drink was really good and the server's name was Tiana. The manger Michael was nice enough to take to food off the bill. read more

Went here on Thursday with my two younger babies and nephew for dinner and the waitress SUCK...NO TIP FOR U! Only tip I have is "Next time u see my face" have better service and u will get a tip. read more

This place is the worst after being seated waited 27 minutes for a server to come a get a drink order waited 15 minutes for the drinks and 10 more minutes for my appetizers then placed for order only to wait another 30 minutes askes for the check then the manager came just to tell me he why im upset never even apologized find some where else to eat was my first and last time read more

Seating was horrible, service was terrible, we didn't get served, they said we have to wait another hour because we had a large crowd (16), but they did not tell us that in the beginning, we had already been there for 1hour & 15 mins., really!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I had grilled salmon, broccoli and mac&cheese. Everything was really good and well cooked. No complaints on the service. Definitely will be back to try other items on the menu. Prices really shocked me considering how much food you get. Very satisfied read more

This is unfortunate but the staff is HORRIBLE! So unnecessarily rude. I couldn't even stay to patron the place. My experience didn't even include food. The drinks and food looked awesome though. Really large alcoholic beverages. I just couldn't get past the mistreatment of the hostess staff. The management really needs to retrain the entry level host/greeters. read more

I had a few cocktails which were just ok, then the real problem started. We ordered the chicken nachos and they were cold and soggy. I told the bartender Remy that your restaurant must comp me for my nachos or at least get us a complimentary drink to wait for another order when it was clearly your kitchen's mistake- talk your manager or bring him over. The manager came and basically told me that we would have to pay for nachos and our time. I gladly told him where he can stick the nachos in the most unpleasant way and left. When this place first opened it was a good look now its justs like all the other chains that make there way to the PG area, they start off promising then become abysmal. Good luck to those who have a bad experience here and think there's average management in place to assist. read more

We were seated the second we walked in. 5 minutes sitting at the table before a server approached us for drink order, which did irk us a bit. 15 minutes later, still no drinks. Ice tea arrived and it was fresh and tasted perfect. After this, everything was uphill. The food was cooked perfect and tasted awesome. The portions were big enough for two meals. Everyone around us was pleased with their meals also. This was my first time ever at a Cheddar's and I would come back in a second! Wait... I think I'm going there again this week. I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

Customer service....spot on! From the hostess to the waiter, everyone is very nice and friendly and professional. The honey butter croissants were to die for!! I highly recommend along with a delightful cup of coffee. Perfect pair! For lunch I ordered the spagana. (Spaghetti and lasagna) with meat sauce. I must say it was pretty good. Husband ordered country chicken fried steak and it was way better than Bob Evans. Bottom line, I loved it!!! read more

It took about 20 mins to seat me (1 person) because the bar was full. I ordered a Texas Sweet Tea, Spinach Dip, and New Orleans pasta. The drink was delicious as well as the pasta. The spinach dip was not as hot as I would have liked and they didn't bring any salsa with it, however it was good. My waitress Jada was great. I'll be back. read more

The wait was crazy long but the food and the waitress darrin was awesome!!!

Just gross. High fat and unhealthy. Long wait. Low server. Forgetful servers. Never again for my family.

Although, it was a wait and pretty busy we didn't have to wait long. The food is very good as well as the prices being very reasonable. I order the chicken tenders w/ French fries & Mac & cheese & it was to die for I was really impressed my the quality of the food.my drink (strawberry lemonade) was absolutely tasty and it had fresh strawberries. The bread it also the best hands down but, the catch is the bread is only served to those who only order a salad. I would definitely recommend this place to people who loves comfort food & are looking for a sport that is very reasonable. read more

So let's just start the review with "DELICIOUS". The food, atmosphere, and service were top notch. The food was amazing I started with chips and queso which I honestly thought was going to be bland. That was so not the case! The portion was huge and the queso (which had an option of adding beef for free) had layers of creamy rich flavor. My meal was the Philly cheese steak and again I thought a greasy tiny sandwich would emerge from the kitchen. Nope the sandwich was delicious and not an ounce of grease on the plate. It was so filling I could only eat half. So the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The abstract fan and plants was beautiful. Lastly our waiter Keith was the best. He was funny and attentive and he kept our large party order straight with no problem. read more

Drinks dropped on us and our phones with NO apology or discount offered or anything. Salad was just lettuce nothing else. Server never checked on us at all. Food was mediocre. Should've cooked at home. read more

The service was amazing (they even brought my daughter her food first so she wouldn't be just hungry waiting for a real meal and not just some appetizer) and the prices were amazing! Have the onion rings!!! read more

Not sure if giving this a star rating would be necessary since the experience was just that disappointing and embarrassing. Last night, brought my best friend to the Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen in Brandywine, MD and this was her first time eating at a Cheddar's Restaurant. I told her she would be really impressed, however much to our surprise it was a horrific experience. It started with receiving water with a lemon wedge that appeared to be eaten, a frozen strawberry Texas margarita drink that had been sitting on the counter and began to separate, and burnt Cornmeal White Fish w/overcooked broccoli. My friend ordered the Blackened Salmon and received just regular baked salmon, especially after she emphasized that she would like the salmon to be cooked a little longer in the seasoning and the waiter stated he would make sure. To add insult to injury we called for the manager FOUR times and it took him (Mike McGraw) over 30 minutes from the second time we called for his attention. The staff stated he was in the back and he wanted them to find out what our concerns were, not that he was assisting other guest and he will be with us shortly. Not until we advised that we will not be paying for the very, very poor service, is when Mike decided to come to find out what we wanted. When he came to the table he was defensive and had an attitude. I asked him to have a seat at the table not to make a scene. As I'm explaining what my concern was to include his poor managerial skills, he states to me that I keep cutting him off and that he was assisting other guest and couldn't make it to our table in less than 45 mins. He states, that I keep bringing up the fact that he didn't come within 30 mins. It was his staff that advised that he was called several times never relaying once that he was so busy with other guest issues. My concern, if there were that many problems with your shift then maybe you need another profession. Very disappointed with the overall dining experience and that's most disappointing since I love eating at Cheddar's. After this not sure if I want to return. read more

Good place to dine out at minimal cost. The chicken tenders are there specialty although not advertised as such. Ribs are decent and flavorful. Today I got the bone in ribeye, it was on the level of an outback steak, not the greatest cut but the price was good for a 20oz steak at $20 with 2 sides. The citrus miso salmon was tasty and the croissant rolls are very, very good served warm. Service is always just okay as some of the servers may be on their first time jobs but the job gets done no issues with anyone ever. read more

I had the worst experience at this restaurant!!! Out server ROBERT seated us at 10:30 and took forever to ask us what we wanted to drink and if we were ready to order... FINALLY after ordering it took them an hour an a half to finally get our fucking food. MIND YOU the damn place closes at 12 ... our food did not touch our stomachs till 12:30 ... we never got refills on our drinks & we never got our alcoholic drinks. This was the worse experience ever!! Same ya time & ya money! Just go to outback read more

Very long wait after we were seated to get approached by our server. The plates, silverware and drinking glasses were all very dirty. They were out of several things that we ordered off the menu. Easily the worse service I have ever experienced. Crew was clueless and didn't have any sense of what service was never mind good service.

The food is good and portion size is great. Prices are not bad and nice selection of food. In brandywine far from me in Gwynn oak maryland wish one closer. Stumbled upon for lunch when I was on a field assignment read more

This was my first visit to Chedders. I've passed it many time and the parking lot is always packed. The ambiance, décorI is very nice. Appeared to be a very clean place. The wait was about 30 min. They were jam packed with people waiting outside. Once seated we were served right away by Amber. She quickly took our order and we received out drinks and apps within ten min. The menu reminds me of BBQ's in NYC. Very affordable food and drinks. However, made me concerned on the quality of the food I was about to order. I ordered chicken fingers, fried shrimp, and the honey croissants. I played it safe which isn't my style, but i wanted to enjoy my food. Others ordered ribs and steak. The main meal took about 15 mins. I consider that fast. The chicken fingers were great but the shrimp was not as tasty. Again you get what you pay for. The ribs looked good but had a lot of fat on them. If you are looking for Classy and quality food this is not the place. Overall I rate Cheddars as (Good), Solid example of restaurant type. This place will stand a long time due to number of people and good drinks but not the food. Would make a better sports bar. I would go again because the drinks are affordable and cheddar is walking distance to the movie's. Amber did a great job. read more

Well I wish I could give bigger kudos because I really wanted to like this establishment after hearing so many rave about their food. Wait times are atrocious because the restaurant is not very big considering its by a theatre and in a populated area. I have been there a few times now and the service is so poor. Too many tables per server period, uniforms worn dirty and lack of attention to detail. Food is just ok. Onion ring appetizer was cheap but drips with grease. Chicken and waffles: chicken fingers were overcooked but waffles were delicious, too bad they didn't offer up a huge plate of those waffles by themselves then maybe it could have been salvaged. Restrooms needed attention. Waiting area is nice inside and out. You just leave with emptier pockets and a not so happy feeling about what you've been through just to get some grub. read more

Been going to Cheddars for years and this is hands down the go to place for an inexpensive, but decent meal and inexpensive, but excellent drinks! The one thing I can't figure out about Cheddars is why there aren't more locations. The place stays packed day and night, so why no one has thought to franchise it is beyond me. If you go on a weekend expect to wait 45 minutes to an hour for service read more

This location needs help. Have eaten at one in Georgia and loved it. This one is new, yet dirty, bathroom was really bad. The staff is slow and although there are a ton of workers they seem overwhelmed. The food was ok, but never brought rolls till all our food was finished. Salad looked incomplete and had to ask for butter for potato and honey mustard for tenders. They need to take a hard look and maybe retrain staff to be more alert and to do a better job cleaning! Does not help that patrons are very loud and messy? read more
