The chicken tenders and homemade fries were a solid choice, and the portions were bigger than I expected. The service was friendly, although our food took a bit longer to come out than expected during the busy dinner hours. read more

Absolutely horrible. It took us 25 minutes to get our drinks,10 after that to get croissant, then about 30 minutes to get our food (the restaurant wasn't busy at all). I bit into a chicken tender and it was crunchy on the inside somehow (not the crust) I instantly spit it out. The food was cold as well which was the cherry on top read more

Server was absolutely amazing taking care of our table of 15. He gave us top notch service and we were very greatly. I'm leaving 2 stars before the food absolutely sucked. The quality went down so bad. Most of us ordered 14oz ribeyes and my husbands was well over cooked we had to send it back. He ordered his steak medium rare and bro got CONGRATULATIONS. I ordered medium and my steak was cooked well done and was super dry but since I was starving I just took it. I know this isn't a steak house but please put more effort in the cooking. Server needs a raise and the cook needs to be fired. There was no way those steaks are "ribeyes". Probably won't be going back. read more

Other than a bit of a weird odor this was a pleasant stop. Patrick was very cordial and provided good service. Food was good and portions/prices very reasonable. read more

We made a quick decision to stop here and were quickly seated in a cozy booth upon arriving. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure our orders were up to our standards. It was our first visit to a Cheddar's and we enjoyed everything we ordered. All of the food was delicious! The trip was worth it for the croissants alone. I can't wait to go back and try more things from the menu! read more

Don't really like their food although my husband likes to go there on a whim. He actually got a good size bone in his chicken pot pie before. Brought it to the manager's attention and he didn't act concerned at all. Offered him another one. Waiter's are pretty nice. read more

Cheddars is a place to grab a hot, delicious meal for a great price. The quality of the food isn't the best or the worst. It's surprising, good compared to other restraunts that have similar prices. The inside of the restraunt looks really nice. It looks similar to a fancy steakhouse. I usually order the chicken pot pie since it's something unique and tasty. If you want a good meal at a good price, Cheddars is one place I would recommend trying out. read more

Solid service, generally very fast time from seating to leaving. The food (and I say this in the best way) is thoroughly unremarkable: hot, plentiful, but exactly the same sort of food one would find at any fast casual sit down place. They have gotten rid of most of the signature dishes I enjoyed in the past, save one: their honey butter croissants, which was worth the extra star in this review. You now get a free croissant when you sit down, so I do enjoy this place much more!! read more

Our late lunch was very tasty. The hamburger was huge. Crispy chicken strip salad was large & fresh. The grilled lemon pepper chicken breast was great with broccoli & green beans. Our service was on point & everything was clean. The croissant was hot & crispy. All so good- loved it. read more

August 11th was my 50th birthday...And I wanted to go here. Ironically it was our Server John's birthday too. It was pretty crowded but we got seated quickly. The Appetizer bread was hot and fresh. And very good. I ordered the monte CristoIt brought me back to the Bennigans days! We ordered the cheese and bacon fries which was very good. My son said his steak was smooth like butter. We also ordered the spinach the dip.. It wasn't my favorite but I don't really like spinach. But my children enjoyed it. My drink was awesome and huge. Only gripe I have is my baked potato was tinyBut I really enjoyed the ambiance and the food. The staff that I encountered was amazing also. Pretty good experience. read more

I can always count on this place to be consistent with food. It's a go to. My favorite dish is the spasagna. Ask for half Alfredo and half meat sauce.. delish! The spinach dip and chips and salsa are great too! I don't recommenced the ribs tho. The only downside is they are a little slow for lunch, not rushed at all, which isn't good for work purposes but good if your just enjoying a lunch. read more

We were hungry after running an errand and decided to stop by. I checked the reviews and almost decided to turn back. I'm so glad we didn't. Our server was wonderful! She smiled as she took our order and made sure she took our order just right. We immediately got our order. Every single thing we ordered was fresh, just like I love it! Our salad was crisp and fresh and our drinks were amazing! I just wanted to make sure it was clear that this was an amazing place with great leadership and service. The manager checked in on us twice. Service doesn't cost a thing. You can choose to treat customers like they matter or like they are a nuisance. Cheddars really got it right! Thank you! read more

I love Cheddars but will not return to the Baytown location. If you are a a Houston sports fan do not go here. My family went to dine here so we could watch the Houston Astros game while we eat. We had to ask 4 times to the tv on the game. All the tvs were on a hockey game. After asking several times, they did change the channel to the basketball ball game. They 4th and final time and midway through our meal , we finally able to barley see the Astros game. The manager didn't really care. Oh, did I mention, our food order was initially incorrect before later changed. All those tvs...‍ read more

Today reminded me why I have not visited this establishment in a year. It took 45 minutes to get my food out and I was informed then that they were out of steamed broccoli and baby carrots. Salmon was cooked great and rice was very tasty. My main complaint has to be about service which has dropped them to one star for me. Service is a very important part of a restaurant and cannot be substituted for "decent" food read more

We are a party of 6, 4 adult. 1 child and 1 infant, after they informed us it would be a 20 min wait. We wait for almost an hour. We asked the hostess if we were still on the list and she informed us that there are waiting on a table to get up and they would clean it and call us. My issue is with this whole restaurant as big as it is why is there only 1 table to fit 6 people? I have been here several times and we have sat in different tables in this restaurant. Or does Cheddars not cater to kids or infant? If that's the case then this is not a family establishment. Do I dare stay and hope for the best? Hmmm. read more

Family of 4. Waited over an hour and only received our appetizers. Didn't realize it had been that long until we saw a couple that sat down after us start stacking up their plates after finishing their meal. We checked the kiosk on the table and saw our orders were never put in so we called the server. She gave us a long lie about them having "so many red tickets on the screen" she then said "they are plating your food right now, can I have your orders again so I can give it to my manager?" Obviously we knew that wasn't true, so we said we'll pay our tab for the appetizer and leave to get Whataburger. She could've at least offered to pay for the appetizer. Won't waste my time going back to this location. read more

I rarely leave reviews but I always READ reviews. The low star count on this Cheddars had me nervous but I was diligent to see if the negative reviews were recent. They weren't, so we took a chance. I'm so glad we did. In fact, my 12 year old son asked if I could leave a review. Lol! He loved his kid's chicken and hubbie enjoyed his shrimp. I wasn't hungry and only had the spinach dip appetizer which was also delicious. The drinks were all on point. And of course we tore up those croissants. Finally, shout out to our server, Tammy! For me, good customer service that is kind and attention, makes a great meal even better! read more

Baytown Texas, had early dinner, 4:30, Sept 1st. Blackened fish was good BUT baked potato was OLD and over cooked! The carrots were all dry and old. When I complained they just reheated the carrots and brought me an old overcooked potato from refrigerator not even heated all way through!! I tried to leave a complaint on their key pad and it blocked me when it was negative!! Don't spend hard earned money on bad food and management practices!!!!!! read more

This particular location wasn't what I was expecting when I walked in. When I walked in I noticed that there was so much moisture inside the restaurant. The glass was covered in condensation and the floor was moist from the moisture in the restaurant. We sat down and continued to order. I ordered the chicken pot pie with a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad came out and was just wilted romaine lettuce and more of the butt of the lettuce that was all browned. The chicken pot pie was great but the salad was a complete disappointment. read more

Native Texan who has been stuck in the people's republic of California for 17 years here, visiting on work and just wanting to pick up a to-go order of the most delicious chicken strips that $9.99 of my company's money can buy. Being raised in Texas, I thought it was pretty much understood that we eat our chicken strips with ketchup. (Or cream gravy. Ranch and honey mustard are for people who are not from Texas.) Imagine my surprise when I asked the to-go employee for a "few packets of ketchup" in my bag and she looked infinitely confused. Her very confused response: "We don't have packets of ketchup. We have bottles of ketchup...." Me (even more confused than she is): "Really? I can't be the first person who has ever asked for ketchup." Her: "Actually, I think you are." What is this blasphemy?!? Anyway, this may be more of a corporate complaint than a location complaint, but if y'all can't get HQ to start sending ketchup packet supply to the to-go counter, then can you at least train the to-go folks to squeeze some out of those bottles into a small condiment container with a lid? Please? The chicken strips were so delicious, but they were sorely missing ketchup. read more

It seems that every time I visit this location, alone or with friends, the service is a bit off, the table always needs additional cleaning, and nothing seems to be very "solid." The tables, the bar, and the menu are always sticky--really. The food is somewhat usual Cheddar, but it just seems a bit off or lacking in some areas. The young staff might need to experience some great customer service as opposed to awful, which may change their own work habits. The drinks are also just ok. The actual alcohol content is quite lacking. And the drinks aren't at all cocktailish... However, as many know, the croissants are killer. They are not as full cooked (just lightly browned) as much as I would like, but that honey butter is absolutely addictive. But I do enjoy seeing my former students being productive members of a working community. They are always here, and always happy to see someone they know. So, at the very least, I appreciate this employment opportunity for young blood read more
