Update for Checkers. It's great NOW! 2 stars up as the CREW here are polite, fast + make great burgers! More than last year, this Checkers is pretty spiffy clean now. When I stopped for lunch there was only 1 lane for some reason. But it was a fast one. As if all those juicy flavorful burgers were cooking and sizzling about incessantly.. I've lived in Woodbridge for a long time but I've only visited here a handful of times. Nothing terribly bad has every happened, only long response times from the intercom & long wait times for the food. Today I'm giving a 3/5 stars bc I ordered the #9 half pound chicken & fry chicken box and the menu said it was $6.50 or so. When the worker said my total it was $10 I was confused because even after tax, $6 should not go to $10. THEEE WORST Checkers!! Legit because of the employees. I made a order online and arrived 5 minutes after the time it was supposed to be ready. Instead I waited longer than everyone in the drive thru to get it, in the cold and rain. To make it worse they gave me a cup with a hole in it and beverages leaked all over the car. Absolutely frustrated. I love Checkers but this was just a hot mess. I place my order online (two meals) 10/15 mins prior to getting there and when I get there the lady asks me nicely to go back around because she said my order didn't pop up, I said absolutely and did just that, waiting another 5 mins. I go and she says she still can't find my order, This time I tell her maybe I should go to the window and show her the receipt (it might help) and she agrees. I get to the window and she says she has to get her manager because she still doesn't see it (she was super sweet and kind about it). Then the manager comes up and I tell her the time I placed the order and she DOESNT EVEN LOOK AT MY RECEIPT AND IMMEDIATELY SAYS "Oh you have to wait 20-25 mins for the order to pop up" at which point I tell her "that's odd because it said my order would be ready 10 mins ago" and she keeps saying no. Clearly she saw my face because she was so quick to dispute me and slightly rude. Then she asks my name and I tell her, she goes to the area and says "the only order I see here is for Raquel (THE NAME I JUST GAVE HER)" I'm like "yes that's me....." And she hands it to me all frustrated and when I ask her for sauce she gives me one of each (which isn't sufficient but it's fine) and as I'm saying "have a great day" she slams the window shut and cuts me off and doesn't say anything. I-I don't know what happened. I think I was served a rotten fry (the inside was black??). The chicken bites tasted like vomit (How?). 7/2/2021 5:50pm my husband and I went to buy food. Food was good but the two stars goes to the service. I have 14 years of customer service experience. I have worked in retail and the food industry since I was 16 one thing I always take into account is customer service. I know everyone is going through something but that is no excuse to be rude to a customer. The line was so long I'm sure customers are already in a bad mood it doesn't help if the employees are in a bad mood as well. Customer service needs improvement. And to top it off the person handling the register and giving our order had his hands between his pants and his boxers in his crotch area. I am glad he is not handling the actual food. read more

This review is strictly dedicated to their French Fries. I haven't tried anything else here. Checkers fries are beyond amazing!!! Great price too. I can only compare them to Popeyes style, but better. They subscribe to the Five Guys way of giving you fries, which is put a tiny cup in a bag and FILL the bag. If you've never tried their fries you really must. The drive through moves very fast due to their 2 lanes. Their burgers seem WAY too expensive for me. I was hopeful as I placed my order for two items until I reached the order window. A cashier took money and hastily gave me change but then I waited for several minutes for my food. After three minutes, another counter guy came and asked what I ordered. Huh?!?! I asked, "you don't have my order?" The guy shook his head and said no. I said, "but you took my money". Looking like a deer in headlights, he claimed he didn't take my money. As I was about to raise up, my long-lost order appeared with all the correct items. What the f***? The food selection had a lot of variety. We ordered a chicken sandwich and burger for dinner tonight because we needed something to go that was quick and on route. The staff was helpful with navigating options, but overall the food left a lot more to be desired. This is just an average fast food place and I understand that-- but the food just felt much greasier than the comps. I don't foresee returning anytime soon just due to the grease factor. Horrible! Came here and put in 8 orders, asked for separate bags. They didn't even repeat the order back so no wonder they got the orders wrong. They gave me all the sandwiches in one bag not labeled, so we had to open each sandwich and guess whose it was. All the fries in another bag, spilled about. I had to ask for a bigger bag to encompass all the food. Then they only gave one carrier case for the drinks. IDK what they thought was going to happen with all the food that we didn't need to know which is which. I stopped coming to this Checkers two years ago when the manager on duty and a cashier lied to me about their opening time and their inability to be prepared to serve customers even after being open for over 40 minutes. I figured two years was enough time to work on customer service, but I was wrong. I only ordered one serving of funnel cake fries and they didn't even bother to powder the fries. Something so simple for one order didn't seem like something that should have been neglected. I shouldn't have needed to drive back for them to add sugar to something that is advertised with it on there.
