So, found this place on Yelp (thanks, Yelp!) and decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did. This place is--to say the least--eclectic. If you can't find something great to eat despite your dietary needs and/or restrictions, I would be totally shocked. It was quite clear from talking with locals the place is much-loved and respected. My wife had a Reuben and said it was almost as good as what we think is the best in the universe from Mr. Brisket. So, very very high praise. I had their perch sandwich with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy and loved every bite. You can just tell the food is made with a great deal of care and high-quality products. The service was every bit as good as the food. We would consider driving the 35 minutes from our home to visit Check Please Cafe again. Just a wonderful place. read more

This is our first time eating here and it has been wonderful! From being greeted so kindly and served so caringly to eating such home made food made with pride - what a pleasant surprise! We ordered the Club sandwich to share, a cup of French Onion soup, some Cole slaw and for dessert Bread Pudding and a Keto Chocolate/Peanutbutter cream pie! Of course we shared everything so we could taste it all. Everything is homemade from scratch and not only tastes fantastic but looks great when it comes to the table! It wasn't real busy but the food took a bit longer than I think it should have. Not "This is bullshit, I want to talk to the manger" slow, just "Hmmm. I'm hungry" slow. The food came and the portions were bigger than expected. The peppered bacon is amazing. Thick, not fatty, just perfect. All of the food was hot and on par with what I would expect. We ate breakfast at another establishment every Sunday for a decade but we were in Grafton and decided to try Check Please. We are so happy we did. The food is good, quality food and always fresh. Organic. The eggs are yummy, the bacon is good and the best breakfast potatoes. Even the orange juice is good, not the crummy stuff. It's definitely the best breakfast around. Highly recommend. Omg.. YOU GUYS..I WANTED TO LOVE IT!! This little cafe is cute as heck! It has charm and its decorated so cute! I saw they had a keto menu on Facebook so i was so excited to try them out. I was greeted immediately on entering and she was friendly and sweet. I asked for the keto menu and was happily surprised when she handed me a full sheet.. it didn't take long to decide on their Keto breakfast bowl , which is described as " Split drop biscuit topped with a fried egg, cheddar cheese& gluten free sausage gravy" i also ordered a side of bacon with that. I raced back to my store(lunch break pick up) eager to try.. it's been a minute since I've had either a biscuit or gravy. I will say Mmmmm mmmmm delicious!!! The gravy and almond flour biscuit did NOT disappoint... so what's wrong lisa.. your asking. Why only 3 stars??? Fantastic!! This place is super charming and has lots of very interesting stuff to look at - from the knick knacks on the walls to the amazing art menu boards. You don't mind waiting for your meal because there are actually interesting things to see and you know that your food is actually being cooked in the kitchen - not simply being re-heated. The food at this place is amazing - always fresh and always delicious! I love that they use local ingredients as often as they can, and they cook everything from scratch. They have a descent menu and offer daily specials & daily soups...which are all delicious. I like that they lean towards a healthier version of restaurant food and even offer Himalayan salt at their tables. I've been here for breakfast, lunch & dinner and have not received a bad meal yet. The help are always friendly and helpful and the place is super clean. Even the bathrooms have a certain charm about them and are also super clean. The only complaint I would have is that the line-to-be-seated can get backed up pretty bad and there is not a lot of "standing around" room. When this happens, the help doesn't always seem to work at seating people quickly. At times, I've waited to be seated (with only 2 of us) standing along side a rather large crowd - also waiting, as I can actually see empty (clean) tables. Yet, no one seats anyone. The tables sit empty and the crowd waits at the door...for too long. This experience can be quite annoying, especially when you're hungry. But, just know that once you're actually seated and your food arrives, any bad feelings you had from waiting will disappear immediately! read more

Real nice place in Grafton. Not too big, they could put some tables together for a large group if need be. Country atmosphere inside, fits perfect for Grafton. Farm fresh food here. I kinda get the notion that it's healthy eating, but it's more hearty meals that's made with quality ingredients. I had a Salted Caramel Mocha to drink. It came out warm but not quite hot as you would expect. Aside from that, a good drink. Breakfast Scramble (pictured) for the main. Looks can be deceiving, beneath the sausage gravy lies buttery potatoes, cheddar cheese, and scrambled eggs. Great bang for your buck! Came out hot and had great flavor, definitely recommend it. I also couldn't resist deep fried Oreos as a breakfast dessert (if there is that sort of thing). It comes with six Oreos! I was in LaGrange on a speaking engagement with a 3 hour break between speeches. This was one of the first places to pop up on Yelp, and am I glad it did. Nice little atmospere in a small building in Grafton Ohio (going to drive around in a minute to see what else is here) with a very casual vibe. Needed breakfast and went with the build your own plan. Eggs came out exactly the way I like them, very runny - great almost sourdough toast, thin tasty ham slice and some stellar hash browns. The potatoes were so close to my mom's now famous (at least for us) Fried Potatoes and were extra crispy. I also asked for an English muffin - both toast and muffin were buttered warm. This is so far the best breakfast find of 2019 - with coffee just $12.00. It was a great meal with a server who put up with me for a long time (I kept count, 10 coffee refills - I did have to kill a lot of time) so I tipped a little heavy. Too bad this is my only scheduled trip to this part of the state. Highly recommend for breakfast. read more

All day BYO breakfast is a great feature but they also have a traditional menu and other BYO menus making it very easy to customize anything. Monthly features are always unique and festive. We have been going to Check Please for years! Absolutely love their food! Today we got a Burrito and Bowl with the Cauliflower Lime Rice. It was fantastic! Tasted fresh and perfect for Cinco de Mayo! This place is fantastic. I was drawn to it after googling "keto restaurants" and it popped up. Luckily it was only about 20 minutes from my house. Their menu can be tweaked to customize whatever you want, whether you are trying to eat keto, low carb, or have no dietary restrictions. I got a philly in a low carb wrap with the fried cauliflower and it was delicious. My husband got a regular rueben and he said all the ingredients tasted really fresh and it was really good. We went to this place last week and I do not know where to start. First we were put at a table under the fan when we said something she said she would get the chef to turn it off this never happened. The menu was huge so it was hard to decide finally we ordered. I had the BLT and my partner had the beef and noodles. What can we say here the bacon was not cooked and very little mayo and the bun was small her beef and noodle was in some type of gravy but it was bland. when we complained to the waitress her only statement well can we get you something else and everything is cooked fresh.
