Made a quick stop to get a Margarita and a quick snack during happy hour…read more Ambiance Very festive colors. Lots of trees. Busy during Happy Hour. Customer service was good. Margaritas are delicious and have at least a shot of tequila. Voted best margarita since 2012 and I cannot dispute that. Chicken nachos hit the spot. Ate light getting BBQ later.

I don't normally post a review unless it's to rave about a great experience. However, after giving…read morethis a lot of thought, I feel that's unfair to those looking to Yelp! for an honest opinion and experience. Additionally, Cantina del Rio advertising they have the "best margarita" made it all the worse that not only was it not the "best" or subpar, it was so bad half of us couldn't finish ours. And since I am being honest, locals warned me not to go to Cantina del Rio for the food, but the drinks were good. Taking that in consideration we have consistently avoided it until today, when all we wanted was a drink after a day in the river. I wish I could say at least the views were good, but after asking the hostess to sit us at the best seats in the house (it was late afternoon on a Tuesday so it was not an unfair request), we were sat outside to see the construction. No "rio". Not even a glimpse. I have to say we snacked on chips and salsa and queso and they were better than the drinks. It's such a cute spot and so disappointing that the margaritas were the "worst".

We got our usual order of queso/chips, fried avocado and trailer park tacos. And a chicken tender kids combo meal. I love this place…read more Our server was extremely friendly and took amazing care of us. She took our order when she saw us struggling at the kiosk. She made our drinks, chatted with us the perfect amount, brought us our food, checked on us after, and wished us a safe drive home when we left. Her service was perfect! The place is clean, the music was fun, the chandeliers are almost steam punk and their light bulbs have a great color to them. It's just a cool place to hang bb I had a Torchy's-Tini, which is a nice Mexican Martini and I enjoyed it. I got two tacos - a Baja shrimp taco and Ronin. The shrimp taco is very popular. I got the grilled version but I'm guessing that the fried version is more popular. The sauce seemed to want to accompany fried shrimp. And I'll bet that's really good. I wouldn't get the grilled version again. But what I totally fell in love with was the Ronin taco. It was their taco of the month. Grilled teriyaki steak, Asian slaw, Srirachi, some chopped peanuts -- I'm not sure what all was on it but DANG was that good! So... yeah... I would totally go back!!

I got to try Tacos Papi Grande when their food truck came to my neighborhood for an HOA event,…read morewhich was a great catering idea. This isn't your typical taco spot, though. The carne asada was under-seasoned for my taste, and the chips in the nachos were a bit stale, despite the great presentation. As for the nachos, they used shredded cheese, which was a nice touch since it wasn't from a can, but there definitely wasn't enough of it. Personally, I wouldn't seek them out, but if you prefer less seasoning in your food, you might really enjoy it. I'm giving them three stars because the two women working the truck were incredibly efficient and friendly, even with a large and growing crowd. They had a great system down and handled the rush with a positive attitude.
