Cheat Mountain Pizza is seriously underrated--it's easily my favorite pizza, not just at Snowshoe, but anywhere. The crust is perfect, the toppings are always fresh, and it hits the spot every time after a day on the mountain. The location couldn't be more convenient--right in the village and just steps from the slopes. It's also one of the more affordable restaurants on the mountain, which makes it even better. If you can grab a seat by the window, the view makes it that much more enjoyable. It can get a bit busy but the service is always friendly and happy to accommodate. We were in the mood for pizza and decided to make the drive up to Snowshoe. We arrived around 8 p.m. to find the place somewhat quiet and not very busy. The restaurant was clean and well maintained, and our server was quick to greet us and take our drink order while we looked over the menu. To start, we shared the Cheat Garden Salad for two with feta dressing. It arrived quickly, and we both really enjoyed it--especially the feta dressing, which was delicious. We did notice that there weren't any salt and pepper shakers on the tables, which seemed odd. My friend likes to add pepper to everything, so he immediately picked up on that. Our server didn't check in while we were eating the salads, so we didn't get a chance to ask for any. They did have Parmesan and red pepper flakes on the tables, though. For our main course, my friend ordered the 16" Jamaican Voodoo Chicken Pizza, and I went with the 12" Hawaiian Luau. We waited about 30 minutes for the pizzas to arrive. The crust on both was very good--great flavor and a nice thickness--but the toppings were a letdown. The Hawaiian Luau was bland, and despite the jalapeños giving it a little heat, I couldn't taste any of the Jamaican jerk flavor that was supposed to come through in the pork. My friend wasn't impressed with the pesto base on his pizza either--he said it was just okay. While "just okay" might be fine elsewhere, it's a bit disappointing when you're paying $25 for a 12" and $31 for a 16" pizza. Overall, the highlight of the meal was definitely the salad. Service was decent, salad was excellent, but the pizza didn't live up to the price or the hype. read more

Went on Tuesday during the summer. We were forced to eat here nothing else open. Poor quality food but high price. Had to pay 18.00 plus 3.50 for each topping. We were told everything is open but not true. Don't go to snowshoe on Monday thru Thursday very limited on food. And nothing at the bottom of the mountain either. read more

As a local who's had the pizza since I was a little kid in snowshoes ski school, they've really upgraded the food by a lot! The pizza crust it much better tasting and is never either burnt or undercooked like it used to, and is no longer 50% of the whole pizza. The cheese is much better too, tastes great! They also have great service, today I ordered a veggie sandwich (add grilled chicken, my favorite combo) on my break, it was accidentally put in as the veggie pizza, but they fixed the mistake and I got both the pizza and the sandwich at no extra charge! Great vibes in there too! The outdoor seating overlooks the whole center village, and the indoor is clean and inviting! 5 stars! read more

Seems like they hopefully fixed whatever service issues were plaguing them a couple months ago when a bunch of terrible Yelp reviews dropped. Just ate here today and it was perfectly fine! Super convenient right in the main village, efficient and friendly service, $7-8 draft beers, and pizza that was only moderately over priced and in line with cost expectations. The pizza itself was perfectly fine, not great and not bad, but delicious after a day of skiing. Sandwiches were on the smaller end and are overpriced for the size. Fries were good. Pizza crust was hard as the plate i put it on. Toppings (pep, mushroom)were light with lots of edge crust. Pretty slow and they weren't busy. Almost 60yrs old and wont serve alcohol without an ID (left at room), server then got rude. Didn't follow up on meal or drinks, she finally came back smacked the bill down without a word and left. $40 for bad pie (all of 16") one beer one pop. Not worth your time or money. read more

When visiting SnowShoe Cheat Mountain Pizza is the place to go. We arrived as most everything was closing. I love pizza but won't eat it very often, so we decided to stop in and check it out. No disappointment at all. The pizzas we ordered were delicious and all the toppings were not only fresh, but they put a lot on the pizza. The service was good. The servers and bartender were great. I've never been to a "fancy" ski resort but I'm thinking Aspen has to have better quality food than what's always pumped out at the smaller mountains. Because every ski resort I've ever been to always has the same mass produced food that's more about convenience than quality. Because why would anyone want to sit down and nourish their body with quality food after falling repeatedly on skis (no, just me?). Standard food from a ski resort. Anything carb-loaded (pizza, sandwiches, etc) has a lot of breading that'll get you full quick. We ordered the wings (meh), meatball sub and the Mediterranean flatbread. The flatbread was decent but had handfuls of full olives on there that we ended up picking off because it made it so salty. I think they should have sliced them up and just put a few on there. They took our party of 40 and served us like champions! The staff accommodated us, showed us kindness after a freezing day on the snow. The pizza was very tasty and the crust was so amazing. The last two times we've been in, we've been sat in Kyle's section & I'm sorry to say he's messed up our orders both time's & then blamed it on the kitchen or the bar. There is no call to order. The phone just rings or goes to voicemail. Had to walk in and wait over an hour for a single large pepperoni pizza to be ready. No notification system, they don't even call out names of the order. You just watch what they throw in the food warmer near the hostess station and hope it's yours. This pizza is right on top of the Snowshoe ski resort in the village. It's also attached to one of the lodging building. Our lodging was right next door too, so this place is very conveniently located. Because of this, it was very crowded even when we went in at 8:30 pm on a weekday. We were promptly seated and served. We got the 16" supreme pizza. It took around 20 min to come out. However, the pizza itself was definitely subpart. The cheese felt lackluster, crust was chewy, and everything about the food was a bit lacking in some ways. The pizza wasn't terrible, I've definitely had plenty worse pizzas in my life. Nonetheless, I wouldn't call it good by any means. The steep price of $28 didn't help either. Everything else about the place was great though. The service, amenities, convenient location, etc. It's also like the only pizza place in the village, so if you're craving pizza while on the slopes, it's definitely convenient for a quick bite! read more

We come here every time we visit Snowshoe. There is usually a wait time, but tables come and go rather quickly, so you won't be waiting long. Their pizzas are rather expensive, but if you get one of their specialty pizzas, it comes LOADED with toppings. A few of our favorite things to get here are: Supreme Pizza Choker Pizza (Meat Lover's Pizza) Caesar salad Cheesy bread On our last visit here this past weekend, we decided to order a smaller pizza and a meatball sub. The meatball sub was $13, but it came on a 5 inch hoagie roll with halves of meatballs (which ended up being a total of 2 meatball). It came with maybe half a handful of bagged potato chips.
