We called Olivia after speaking with many caterers about about approach, cuisine and budget, and we were honestly getting a bit defeated. My first conversation with Olivia was so incredibly refreshing in that I told her we are trying to decide between tacos or barbeque and she responded with a very effortless, "why choose?". This immediately put me at ease as we started to brainstorm together. All other caterers were now subpar. She crafted a beautiful menu for us that included mini (single-bite) sized tacos as part of the hors d'oeuvres and an upscale barbeque with hometown roots for the entree. Our guests have not stopped RAVING about our food (strong accolades for the BBQ still rolling in from our Texas and Tennessee-native guests, so you know it was great!). We received a truly personalized experience with Olivia. She even stepped in to work with us directly when we had questions and get saleswoman was unavailable! From the first conversation through the tasting and our wedding, Olivia was one of our top vendors. Her saleswoman, Christina, was excellent at offering advice and ideas as well as suggestions from other events they'd catered (either at 501 or otherwise). On staff, Olivia also has a food design team member who created the most instagram-worthy displays! Definitely an added bonus. Would 10/10 use and recommend Olivia!

Not knowing anything about the NYC chef culture prior to working with Lena, I was a bit nervous about what the quality of the food and service would be like. However, Lena and her team quickly settled these nerves. Here's my breakdown of the experience: Pre-Event Date: Lena was extremely responsive throughout the entire process and was great to partner with in catering the menu to my likes / dislikes as well as taking into account any allergies amongst the group. Day of Event - Arrival / Setup: Lena and the two waiters she came with arrived on time and quickly settled in and got to work to help set the room / table up. I was somewhat surprised how little I had to do to get everything setup. Food: Every dish was excellent and all 12 people agreed! The presentation and taste was top notch and I felt like I was at a Michelin star restaurant. The dessert was heavenly and I enjoyed every last bite! Waiters: The waiters were extremely thoughtful and professional. When each guest arrived, the waiters greeted them and took their coat / bags to hang them, which was a nice touch. They also ensured our glasses (wine and water) were never empty. Before they left, they cleaned up the kitchen and washed all the pots, pans, and dishes that were used for the night. I would 100% recommend anyone to work with Lena. I plan to work with her again in the future!

Building her business from the ground up, she brings not only talent and creativity, but heart and dedication to everything she does. I recently hired Ali to cater a small family gathering, and from the very first conversation, I knew I was in expert hands. She asked all the right questions--about the type of event, dietary needs, allergies, and overall feel I wanted to create. Her attention to detail is remarkable. Ali provided an extensive, thoughtfully curated menu and offered wonderful suggestions that reflected both her culinary expertise and her deep understanding of health-conscious eating. She is incredibly knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and allergies, and she seamlessly designs menus that accommodate everyone--without ever sacrificing flavor or beauty. The menu she created for us was vibrant, seasonal, and absolutely delicious. When signing us up, I mentioned in a note that her dream is to become a chef. The class included seven or eight adults and us, and Chef Paul went out of his way to make her feel welcome. He took her under his wing, showing her basic techniques and treating her aspirations with such respect that she felt truly seen and encouraged. We arrived early, and Chef Paul shared that he began cooking in a professional kitchen around the same age as my niece, then apprenticed under a famous chef in Paris at 15. He later became the head chef of two restaurants before opening his own culinary studio. The class focused on French cooking and included a four-course meal. I loved that it was small and intimate--just 10 people--compared to other classes I found that had 16 to 20 participants. Although we worked in groups of four to prepare each dish, Chef Paul brought everyone together where he demonstrated key steps across all the courses--techniques that many cooks get wrong--and showed us how to do them for the best results. He even provided special recipes for us to take home and ensured that each student got hands-on experience with parts of multiple dishes. It truly felt like a shared and collaborative learning experience. By the end of the three-hour class, our class of nine or ten had shared a delicious meal and great conversation. My niece was absolutely thrilled and left even more inspired to pursue her dream. If you have a child who loves cooking, I can't recommend Chef Paul highly enough. He even offers children's group classes upon request. Thank you, Chef Paul, for such a warm, generous, and unforgettable experience!
