We took a rustic Italian class with Chef Mariana in her beautiful home and we really enjoyed!! Definitely worth the price, and we will absolutely be back to take a sushi class with her in the future.

Cooking class with Roger !!!
Laura G.

Omg I cannot say enough good things about our experience... booked this for my guy's bday since he loves to cook and we had a great time ! Chef Roger Sitrin was amazing! Great, cozy place he has in a great location... he was very hospitable, personable and educational! He was also kind and patient ! He went over the science of cooking and why you're doing things, why you're using a specific pot etc he was great.. he showed us knife skills and all! It was very bio chemistry and physics related which I could appreciate! We loved it all and his passion for cooking and teaching others how to cook really came through in our time with him. We made salad, beef bolognese fresh pasta, and almond cookies (ricciarelli)...everything was amazing! There were 5 other people with us (randoms) and they were so quiet and kind of boring... This would be much more fun if you booked it with like 8 of your friends! Also....cozymeal designs the food menu.. they really need to get a Mac n cheese with a brownie one... would be a huge hit lol... just saying. Highly recommend!!!

The Art of Maki Sushi
Marianne A.

Great, unique experience learning the Art of Maki Sushi with Chef Roger! This class was everything you would want in a one time sushi making class. Chef Roger had all the ingredients prepared and laid out on the table prior to my arrival. Before learning to make the sushi, he provided information packets on the ingredients, what they are, and where we could find them. He has many years of experience teaching how to cook and provides knowledge on anything you might want to know about sushi. All of the fillings were sliced and ready to get added into the sushi roll we learned how to make. After making the sushi, we all sat down to eat while chef Roger prepared bowls of miso soup. This was such a fun experience to meet new people while learning to make sushi. The location was the only thing that surprised me about this class because they are hosted in the chef's kitchens-it say's 'Chef's Place' in the location, but I still thought it was going to be a commercial kitchen when I signed up. I was nervous to go to someone's home and learn to cook there, but I liked this because it was nice to see the chef's kitchen set up. After talking to Chef Roger about the cozymeal process, it seems they carefully choose chefs that would make excellent cooking and learning experience for the customer. Overall, this was such a fun and exciting class. I highly recommend taking a class with Chef Roger if you get the chance-he has some other classes like macaroons and making fresh pasta that I will be signing up for in the future.

Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli, Spaghetti alla Chitarra and Semolina Cavatelli. DELICIOUS!

We booked a cooking class to celebrate a birthday. Our experience was perfect from start to finish. Our group of 6 was with Chef Stefano while Chef Ivan was with the other groups. Chef Stefano was very patient and mixed his teaching techniques with a lot of humor. The set up is very nice and spotless. There is a lot of effort to maintain absolute cleanliness during the preparation process. We will spread the words to our friends and we will definitely book another class soon.. Perfect day.

Such a lovely experience with CozyMeal! I did an in-person event before Covid so I thought I would try a virtual event with my team and it did not disappoint! Everyone had a great time and ended up with a lovely meal. The person I worked with made class selection & booking process easy and straightforward. We worked with Chef Craig and he was the best - entertaining and efficient. I will definitely do this again!

Final Product...Shrimp Enchilado...perfection!

Foodance - Pollo alla cacciatora

Married partners Cesare and Kevin claim in large letters on their website: "Food is our passion."…read more I think it is safe to add hospitality to their list of passions as well. Their food was excellent and a large part of my 5 stars, of course, but never have I felt so welcomed and at home in a restaurant thanks to its two owners. Their warmth and friendliness truly elevated our night out to the next level. My girlfriend and I stopped in at about 7 on a Wednesday night. We didn't have a reservation but were able to be seated right away. The restaurant was mostly filled, dimly lit, with an eclectic mix of Italian bric a brac scattered about the room. The ambiance was intimate and just perfect. Both Kevin and Cesare were working the room, interacting with guests while taking orders and running food. I ordered a champagne cocktail and pistachio encrusted chicken off the list of specials, while my girlfriend had a smoked Negroni and pasta with mushrooms. We shared tiramisu for dessert. Everything we had was decadent and delicious. The tiny room features a bar just big enough for three bar stools, and a small stage that could fit a handful of musicians. While the food was great, I would be equally as happy to just sit at the bar enjoying live music and watching the happy dance of the diners at their tables. We're not from New York, so sadly we can't be regulars here, but we'll absolutely come back someday, and in the meantime we'll spread the word for people to put this one on their list.

The furniture is an eclectic mix of vintage sofas and chairs, making it the perfect cozy, date night spot. The aesthetic is great. The man who served us was so friendly, showing us around the restaurant and telling us about their speakeasy and their Friday night jazz (starts around 9 or 10)! He walked us through the menu and made recommendations. His adorable puppy was following him around the restaurant and sat next to my friend during dinner, which was a welcome addition (but obviously if we were not okay with that, he would've had his dog leave us alone). Our food was good. The pasta is well-priced compared to other spots in NYC. I was very impressed with the lemon chicken dish I ordered. The burrata and prosciutto was good but felt expensive for what it was. We also enjoyed the chocolate lava cake (they call it another name) but it wasn't necessarily hot. We were served thin, crispy bread with our appetizers and our meal, which I enjoyed because I got to eat bread, but didn't get too full before my entree. This is a solid option for Italian food and/or good vibes in the area. I can't wait to come back and visit the speakeasy or the Friday jazz night!

De Gustibus - Caviar tasting

My friend was doing the cooking demonstration and although I got there a few minutes late the staff and crowd was very welcoming. Chef Ayesha is amazing! She is from Shukette which recently opened in Chelsea, a part of the restaurant group of a few other restaurants including Shuka, Vics and Rosies. Also, to have your food prepared by an incredibly high level talented Chef with quality wine pairings is very lovely experience! Sal Rizzo, the owner is very accommodating and very entertaining as a host. he was the perfect energy for the group with very positive and entertaining comments. The space only fits about 30 people and the alcohol was refilled. While the cost might seem high ($145 with fees) for 90 minutes it went a bit over and they did not rush you out. I had five drinks (One proseseco, two white, and two red) so it was well worth it. Service was top not h. The staff were en pointe and attentive. They were always cleaning up after you're making sure that you got your food at the right time. I was also lucky enough that our chef made us laugh the entire time because she has a fantastic personality. Furthermore, every dish was created to perfection and visually appealing with very different interesting flavor profiles. I've been to several of her restaurants and not let down. I will enjoy returning!

Excellent award winning working chefs make meals or specialties and talk about the food and ingredients. You watch, you eat. The video screens enable you to see techniques. The chefs answer all your questions and you get the recipes. But wait! There's more!!! There are wines paired with each course and a rep (or if you are lucky, the winemaker) tells you about the wine, the flavors, why it goes with the food etc. what a perfect night. You are always among a friendly, diverse, foodie crowd and it's a blast. I went alone last night and enjoyed crispy caper and eggplant campionata with potato chips, baby lamb chop with a delis glaze and pomegranate, crispy duck with plum compote and goat cheese cheesecake with macerated berries. Chef was Adrienne Cavalo from Miami and the wine was Trivento from Argentina (i am now a Malbec fan). Another time I went and it was Passamore caviars with great dishes and champagnes. The staff is amazing--go on the website and look at the upcoming demos and classes. You will not regret it. It's a foodies dream! And one more thing. It's on the 8th floor of Macy's Herald Sq. Yup--who knew?! It's tucked near the elevators by the exit to Santa's workshop.

I've always wanted to learn how to make authentic thai food, given that I know how it should taste. Online recipes were always unclear and my frustration led me to finding out about Fantastic Thai. I chose to take the all day cooking class (9 hours) at Chef Phensri's house in Old Bridge, NJ. Great cooking class! It was a small class, only 3 of us in all so we learned loads of dishes and everyone had a chance to make most of them. We learned about 10 - 14 different dishes and even took home some laminated copies of other popular recipes. Not to mention, we ate all our food and took home all the leftovers :) Definitely recommend this class if you're dying to learn how to make authentic thai food. Chef Phensri does a great job simplifying it and making it fun. Thanks again and can't wait to come back!
