Our insurance was accepted,with a good selection of different pricing for frames.Both of uI De have Bifocals.The optician made sure lenses were in the correct position.They were ready as promised. So rude and unprofessional!! DO NOT GO THERE. I went to pick up a pair of glasses and when asking the sales associate for help, he said "I'm busy" and made me wait 30 MINUTES only to tell me that the glasses were not ready yet for pickup. He said his coworker promised that the glasses would be ready for pickup by then, and that it wasn't his fault that it wasn't ready. He could've checked when I first asked, not make me wait 30 minutes. I said I was also busy and that he just wasted 30 minutes of my time and all he said was "I'm busy too." This review was a long time coming. I didn't realize how bad this place was until I got a new pair of glasses a year later. My main concern was the eye doc. She was very pleasant and nice but did not give me the correct diagnosis for my lenses. I went back the first time & even the second set of lenses were not matched to my eyes properly. I remember clearly when I was getting the eye exam I told the doctor I could not see the letters clearly and she replied " really? I think you can " which is.... such a ridiculous thing to say. I made the mistake of trusting her and my glasses were not properly matched to my eyes. My lenses were also probably 10 inches thick which made me look like a grandma at 25, when I asked if I could get them thinner they told me it would cost upwards of $200-400 (when I already paid them 800 for the glasses and lenses) If you're looking for a pair of glasses, I would recommend going someplace else with an eye doc that knows what she's doing. It's just heartbreaking to spend that much money on a pair that doesn't even help you see properly. read more

i've been going to cheapers peepers since 2017 when i first got glasses. i've been a loyal customer with cheapers peepers for 7 years now. at the beginning of december i went into the store to order prescription sunglasses. i showed them the frame that i want and made sure they knew they were prescription sunglasses. i went about my winter break. a month had passed and i hadn't heard anything about my sunglasses. at the end of january i had to go back into the store to drop off another pair of glasses that broke. i asked about the sunglasses to find out they had never been ordered and would then put the order in. so now they have two pairs of my glasses. between mid january and mid march i called cheapers peepers 7 times asking for an update on my glasses. all 7 times i was told i was going to get a call back about the status of my glasses. i did not get a single call back about the status of my glasses. i got a call back about my normal prescription glasses that had broken. i asked about my sunglasses and they said that they were back ordered but coming in soon. i then double checked to make sure they were prescription which they said they weren't, and that it would take even longer now. now it is march 12 and i have been guaranteed they would be ready on march 10. i show up on march 10, and none of them were ready even though they told me to come in on the 10th. i go back on the 12th they give me my regular prescription glasses and after 20 minutes he comes back with my sunglasses but they are clear. WHY WOULD I ORDER SUNGLASSES FOR THE LENSES TO BE CLEAR PLEASE SOMEBODY TELL ME WHY THEY THOUGHT I WOULD WANT CLEAR SUNGLASSES I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THIS I AM GOING BACK TOMORROW TO PICK UP MY GLASSES AND THEY BETTER BE TINTED THEY ARE LOSING THE BUSINESS OF ME AND MY BLIND FAMILY ME AND ALL MY HOMIES HATE CHEAPERS PEEPERS man i just want my sunglasses cheapers peepers if you're reading this have my records ready tomorrow because i will be taking them to someone else read more

All of these reviews are over a year old, and couldn't be more wrong. We starting coming to this location after the one in East Meadow closed (actually they moved we didn't know that at the time) and couldn't be happier. The staff is super helpful, and go above and beyond to help. My daughter lost her glasses at the beach and we didn't have a backup pair (we won't make that mistake again), only her old ones which weren't strong enough. They quickly made her a new pair with her old frames because we were going away a few days later and my daughter literally can not see without them. Of course trying to get all the last minute things ready before our trip we couldn't make it in time to pick them up before they closed so they left them in the mailbox. I will forever be grateful for that. So if you're looking for a place that has great frames, and an amazing staff then this is the place!! read more

Called to make an appointment and they asked for my insurance and info had the appointment made. Had to rush my child out of school and took a taxi to cheaper peepers only to find out they take my insurance. what i dont understand is why they didnt tell me this over the phone when they asked for it. When I went to pick up my glasses, I thought the soft pink color of the frame was nicer then what I originally remembered it to be . Certainly a softer more complimentary 'style look' for an aging face then many other choices might have been. I was wearing a red polo shirt to offset my olive green winter dress coat. Red is the complimentary color of green. Since this is winter /year number six for this green Jones of New York coat the red polo was meant to perk up the 'sameness' of it all. Kudos to Brian for handing me a red eyeglass case for my new glasses. When a customer came in wearing a red parka, I thought that was (silently) humorous. BTW. The staff is very knowledgeable wregards to insurance, etc.. Brian has a pleasant low key customer service manner while taking eye measurements and explaining any necessary optical info. read more

I have to admit that I was somewhat skeptical about having glasses made at a place with the word "cheaper" in their name. I am happy to report that I could not have been more wrong in my initial skepticism. These are quality people with quality products who stand behind what they sell. I had a pair of prescription sunglasses made and I wore them for several months but felt that the prescription might be slightly off. I went back and the store manager checked them and said that the right lens was ever so slightly off. She happily agreed to have that lens reground and replaced at no cost to me. A week later I picked up the glasses and they were perfect. You really can't ask for any better customer service and professionalism. I will happily use these folks again in the future for my glasses and I can wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a great pair of glasses at a very fair price. Got my glasses through cheaper peepers. The process was very good, the manager even ordered the designer frames i wanted. A month goes by and I realize all the screws are falling out and my lens finally falls out at work. The designer frames were defected frames. read more
