Absolutely love this place!!! I had grilled chicken with chimichurri sauce. First off the chicken was cooked to perfection and juicy (I hate a dried chicken) and it was big enough for my 2 younger sisters and I to share. We also have tried a veggie pizza which was really good and flavorful. I tried a peice of my dads steak and that was delish too. You just cant go wrong with whatever you order from here. Suffice it to say that the quality of the beef was terrible. It was full of gristle which made parts of the steak inedible. The service was lacking. We felt like we were an imposition on the server and did not ask for anything. When I requested to have 1/2 the sandwich I had on the plate packed, and she was annoyed. I had to get the check from another server because ours was busy doing nothing. The place is a hole in the wall and there were 4 tables occupied and 8 people who has just been seated. I enjoy this restaurant and their food. However I had read another post last week that stated that they had added a tip to his bill under the heading Serv. We had dinner here Saturday night and sure enough they tacked on an 18% gratuity. Now I have to wonder how many times we may have paid a tip on top of the tip. Being honest this server saw me examining the bill And walked up and said the tip is included. That is the first time anyone has ever told me that concerning that add on. This place never dissapoints. Feels so good when you ask for steak medium rare and you can trust it will be so every time. I've been coming to this place for years, since it was first located on sunset dr. Best things to try here is the entraña (skirt) steak and also the milanesa (beef) covered in cheese and onions. Next time I'll problably try a pasta, but I'll probably end up ordering steak lol. Fries were good as well as the ensalada rusa (potato salad). I honestly love this place but lately the quality is not the best. It seems they only have one waitress working on Froday night. Their churrasco IS top of the line and their Fettuccine Alfredo is as creamy and cheesy as it can get. Parking is not a problem as it's hidden in a large strip mall. However, seating can be a little tricky. They've tried to resolve this problem by putting outdoor furniture in the walkway. They also bring you a complimentary order of hot fresh baguette or garlic rolls which were to die for. Tried charging us an "automatic" 22% tip on my last visit. Went there with my parents and daughter, party of four and when they brought the bill there was a "SERV" charge for $35 dollars. When I asked what it was for, the waitress explained that there's a 22% tip added to all checks over $170. This is absolutely ridiculous and a scam. After complaining they reduced it to 18% but still unacceptable. I've seen automatic tips added to checks but for parties of more than 6. I don't mind tipping for great service but on this particular visit it really wasn't very good. Even 18% was steep for the kind of inattentive service we received. read more
