It's a steep $18 but worth every penny (oh, sorry, they don't make those any more). The REUBEN SANDWICH on toasted marble rye had Swiss cheese, the perfect mound of sauerkraut and thousand island dressing (ask them to go light on the slather) along with a bag of chips and a cookie. Top it off with the beverage of your choice -beer, wine, canned soda, etc.- and you have the perfect lunch or afternoon snack. On our way out we bought a couple pounds of the Smokehouse Jerky (Original, Pepper, & Teriyaki) and two pounds of the Smokehouse bacon. Made the car on our trip home smell great!!!! Seating inside is nice and you can people watch. I like to eavesdrop on the questions they ask the people behind the counter. You learn something new every time - LOL. Tables outside too but it was a tad too hot the day we visited to sit outside, even in the shade. Small, family-run establishment owned by Oregon natives. The artisan meat cutter and smokehouse expert are both third generation in the industry. Such a cute little town too, all cowboy-like and worth an afternoon of moseying the main street to see the shops. Just make sure you keep up your strength and have lunch at Sisters Meat and Smokehouse first.

Hopping place here! We were nearly immediately treated like royalty. Genuinely surprised by the kindness here. I walked out with seasonings, bone in Kansas City cuts, and house smoked peppercorn havarti. Walked out saying to my wife, I cannot remember the last time someone was as kind as the folks working there.

Not just beef, they have chicken, lamb, elk, bison, alpaca, and seafood. I will say that the ground alpaca with ground beef, and ground sausage make fabulous chili- I bought all my meat for that chili from Cinder Butte Meat Company, and it was received by 15 middle school girls. They devoured almost all of it and raved about it. Cinder Butte meat Company also makes sausage, bacon, lunch meats, jerky (hillbilly variety is thee family favorite). The shop is clean, and the owners and staff are the best kind of people, who always have a smile and understand customer satisfaction. They seriously deserve a sixth star!

I have been driving over the pass for a couple of years now knowing that I will get quality meats for myself and family. The best jerky in this State!! When I asked if they were willing to help, even the smallest amount, they more than came through. Their generosity was beyond measure. More than expected they opened their hearts for strangers during this difficult time. I cannot express enough how much I appreciate them and their employees. Their service has never disappointed me and my family. The quality of their meats say it all. Great people. Good employees. Thank you for your help and support. Support and shop small business!!

On my inaugural visit this week, I noted there were a variety of (mostly) local vendors selling high quality fresh produce, a good food truck, and some interesting local crafts/apparel (e.g. hand made leather items). The location is exceptionally nice for a farmers market, with beautiful lawns, water fountains, seating, park tables, a bike repair station, wide sidewalks, and walking distance to many more businesses throughout downtown Redmond. The highlight for my young kids was definitely the food truck and that the farmers market is next to the Centennial Park splash pad (a fountain for playing in the water). We perused the stands, purchased some tasty food, sat on the lawn and ate, and then watched the kids play in the water. For those trying to find it, the market is located in Centennial Park in Redmond, OR and meets on Tuesdays 3-6pm throughout June to early September.
