Shoddy, amateur workmanship and no integrity. Not only did they keep my vehicle for days longer than expected, but they concealed their poor workmanship. Their installation damaged the surrounds on my mid-woofers, costing me $2,167.74 to replace the speakers. According to Cartunes of Atlanta, the damage was caused strictly due to incorrect installation methods. According to the speaker manufacturer, Polk Audio, the speakers could not be repaired. Also, they mounted the crossovers inside the door panels where they were exposed to moisture/water instead of in the cabin, as is customary. Chavez refused to accept any responsibility.

They did my install the same day, fitting me in, because I had a time crunch.

I spent over $800 on a radio installation, and shortly afterward I began experiencing electrical issues that appear to be related to the installation. Since then, my battery has repeatedly died, leaving me stranded and needing jump starts on several occasions. Having to rely on strangers for help after investing that much money has been incredibly stressful. When I first reached out with my concerns, I didn't feel like my issue was prioritized. Instead of being able to have what appeared to be an installation-related problem addressed promptly, I had to wait several days for an appointment. I barely made it back to the shop, where I was told everything looked fine and that I should be good to go. Unfortunately, I got home and experienced the exact same issues. Now I have to bring my vehicle back yet again to have it looked at a third time. I understand that diagnosing electrical problems can take time, but this experience has been a nightmare. I feel the situation could have been handled with more urgency and better communication, especially considering I paid for a service that has left my vehicle unreliable. I'm still trying to remain patient because, at the end of the day, all I want is a properly functioning radio and a vehicle I can depend on. I'm hopeful SK Customs can identify the root cause of the problem and make it right.

Unfortunately, once we got it home, we quickly realized that it does not connect via USB as described. Instead, it constantly requires system updates that must be done over WiFi, making it far less functional than advertised. When I brought the issue back to the store, I was told that "SK didn't know," and no solution, replacement, or compensation was offered. That level of response is extremely disappointing--especially after spending over $700. I would strongly recommend doing your own research before purchasing from here and not relying solely on what you're told in-store. This was an expensive lesson for us, and the product is not nearly as functional as we were led to believe.

All the wiring from two antennas on the trunk running the full length of the car were run with completely hiding the wires. I am extremely satisfied with the customer service given by Ronny as he answered my questions, explained what he was doing, and worked through a unique and difficult installation. Great professionalism and a very reasonable price. This company is recommended by Ham Radio Outlet, a 30+ year highly respected company. I recommend it with the highest level. David M. Schiff, W4CLR

I paid about $1,100 for parts and labor, for 4 speakers and 2 tweeters. My vehicle's tweeter sizes are actually 3.5" but Arman's car audio recommended and installed 2.5" tweeters. I was charged $200 for the tweeter installation. I was not satisfied with the audio after installation. I was told perhaps it was my stereo causing the lackluster sound, despite my stereo being an Sony 9500es. I was told an amplifier would not help much, and was suggested to install a subwoofer for $900. I declined, and when I arrived home I noticed the rear-right door speaker was not working. Upon inspection, it was visible that the negative and positive cables were switched, so the positive speaker cable was connected to the negative car wire, so it was not installed properly and seems no Quality Check was done as the speaker was not playing sound. Additionally another door speaker sounded off, and I saw that it's cable was not routed behind the stereo, but through it, and causing the wires to be exposed to the chassis of the car, short-shorting the speaker. I would not recommend Arman's Car Audio, and instead suggest another local audio shop like Chavez Electronics

When the company changed ownership, my account was sold to ADT without my knowledge. I only found out when I started receiving bills from a different company. When I contacted ADT (my "new company") to ask what was going on, the explanations were vague. Eventually, I received an email saying Ackerman was still operating and encouraging me to switch back. Because I'd had several issues with ADT in the past, I decided to return to Ackerman. Terrible mistake. Basically Ackerman sold my account and then convinced me to buy it back. The representative that came to my home, Natalie, told me I needed a new control panel and other replacement equipment, to the tune of around $1,000. I was also advised not to cancel ADT until an Ackerman tech came out to activate my service, which meant I had to pay both companies for the same month. On top of that, Ackerman charged me two weeks before my service agreement was even scheduled to begin. It's been several months and Natalie (who was supposed to be my point person for Ackerman) will not reposed to me inquires. Based on my experience, if your account has already been transferred to ADT, I would recommend staying put. For me, it wasn't worth the extra cost or frustration.
