We weren't…read moreexpecting to find authentic, flavorful Mexican cuisine in the heart of Rome, but this place completely exceeded our expectations. From the first bite, everything tasted fresh, perfectly seasoned, and thoughtfully prepared. The flavors were spot-on--bold without being overpowering, and clearly made with quality ingredients. It was honestly probably the best food we had during our entire time in Rome, which is saying a lot considering how much incredible Italian food we tried. If you're craving something different while visiting Rome, or if you're a fan of great food in general, Pico's is 100% worth a visit. A hidden gem that delivers way more than you'd expect!

Service was poor an extremely slow. We waited about 15 minutes for water and drinks. When I was finally tired of waiting on the food after 40 minutes I got up to pay and leave but it finally showed up. Food was okay but not good. Had I used the bathroom when I got there I would not have ordered at all. I think the worst bathroom I have ever been in at any restaurant. It made a port a potty look like a luxury spa.

This place does not disappoint! My fiancé and I had their…read morefood for lunch the 2 days we were in Rome. It is not your typical Mexican tacos, it's different but delicious. And everything on the menu is less than 5 euros, you can't beat that! I had their pulled pork tacos and the pulled pork burrito. I definitely recommend. However do not show up at the time they say they open. We showed up and were asked to wait outside for 20 mins so they could set up. The cashiers do speak English and the male cashier speaks Spanish as well.

So when we…read morearrived in Rome my friend who is obsesssed with tacos googled tacos near us because it was a Tuesday. So why not. She found this place through yelp and we walked from our Airbnb in our search of tacos. When we got here first impression was it's a hole in the wall which I love. We got our orders sat down with our beers and waited for our tacos which were made right in front of us. I got three tacos Shredded chicken, pulled pork, and beef. All seasoned perfectly not overly cheesy or saucy just right. They all had great flavor and satisfied that not no more pasta craving we were having. They had vegetarian and fish options as well. So if your ever in Rome and want to satisfy that taco craving. Head here for chill vibes a cold beer and some killer tacos.

Having a close relationship with Mexico, I was very disappointed. Not only was the food NOT Mexican, but it was SO expensive. The guacamole was 12euros! The "burritos" plate which consisted of 2 little tortillas over some half melted cheese and ground meat, and NOT wrapped I think was around 10-13 euros. The nachos were made with very bad imitation cheese, had no beans and while the sauces (salsa, sour cream and guac) were delicious, the plate was 10euros and was NOT worth it. Needless to say I unfortunately won't be going back. Also, as soon as the owner came in it was a stress-fest. Everyone was running around like it was a full house, but here were maybe 4-5 tables booked and many empty, it didn't make for a nice dining experience and it was really weird that they were running around, grabbing our plates as soon as we put our forks down and for what seemed like no good reason. It's a spacious restaurant, well decorated and could be great for parties, but I'd never bring friends here due to the prices and the poor quality of the food. Conclusion: Overpriced Not quality food Nice and spacious room, plus outdoor seating Great margarita I hope Italians don't think this is Mexican food.

My family and I were vacationing recently in Rome and decided to have some "Mexican" food. Well, when we first entered for dinner, we were the only ones in the restaurant b/c we came a little early. The owner would not turn the A/C on even though it was extremely hot in the restaurant. The waitress and her assistant were very nice though. We had ordered food and we waited for almost 40 minutes before my order came out. Apparently, they had forgotten the order??? I had ordered tacos carbon and he brought out enchiladas w/ beef??? They had accidentally used ketchup, yes ketchup, as the sauce and he did not believe me...then he and wife got into an argument in front of us over the order. I would not recommend anyone to eat at this place. Their are many restaurants in Rome that you would enjoy and receive at least par service. I didn't eat any portion of my meal and the owner still charged me full price for something that they messed up on and I received 40 minutes later. I ended up paying the whole bill and just left disgusted! I would honestly think twice before going to this place. Maybe they could learn a thing or two from our "Southern U.S. hospitality".

Drinks and food were good, the bartender and server were very friendly. We went on a slow night and the downstairs happened to be closed, however, the bartender hearing we were big tiki fans took us downstairs and gave us a tour, and we even all took a shot at the bar down there so we could say we had a drink downstairs. The ambiance and decor is perfect and rivals any American tiki bar. Highly recommended if you're in Rome.

Well when you can't fly back home on the 18 hour flight or go to the seaside, you do the next best thing... go to a tiki bar! This place brings a bright, fun, & colorful atmosphere with its tiki surfer vibe. Upstairs is a few comfy couch seatings and tables for food and drink. Downstairs is the tiki lounge. The food is best described as a fusion, taking ideas from Hawaiian, Japanese, and Chinese, mixed with some Italian flair, this is Italy after all. No matter which part of the menu you order from there is a seafood, meat, and veggie option. The Bao buns are delicious and flavor packed. Sushi roll section had some nice options and my friend enjoyed her choice. I bravely ordered the poke, which in fact was a poke bowl with rice ... I knew it wouldn't be traditional but more like 'mainland poke' which has been a craze the past few years. The ingredients were fresh and did compliment each other but not close to true poke if you've had the real stuff, still tasty. The fun part is the cocktails... some come in a pineapple, decorated nicely, and all are crafted well. Many rum based drinks (hello tropical) but also whiskey, gin, and vodka options. Beers on tap and wine by glass (didn't have but still recommend you get a fun cocktail instead). **a hui hou Makai Surf & Tiki Bar! _____________ Since you read my review, I'll teach you a few more Hawaiian words. *Makua: toward the mountain *Mahalo: how to say thanks and show appreciation *Wahine: female *Kane: male *Da kine: (no exact definition) refers to something someone an experience... understanding use of this is best done by spending time in the islands **A hui hou: til we meet again
