a hand holding a cup of iced tea

Stopped by this location for the first time in a while because as I'm sure you all know, this plaza has become a one stop shop for a million different bubble tea stores haha. It was recently my birthday so I chose this plaza to kill three birds with one stone, one of those birds being Chatime! It might be because it was a Monday, or because the store just opened but I was treated with very informative and kind service. Additionally, my drink order was taken, and made very quickly so I was in and out of there within minutes. The drink itself was pretty standard which is great because all their locations should be making their drinks the same way! I do just wish the drink label wasn't put ON the Chatime logo but that's honestly such a small thing haha

Tried brown sugar with caramel cheese foam, mango and passion fruit drinks They are really watery. Brown sugar one was too sweet ( it is ok not too bad). Caramel cheese foam was something they suggested. I thought it would be a good addition but it is too sweet. Chatime is really good for the regular milk tea. That's about it thoug Not a huge fan though. ( maybe it's my taste) I remember chatime was really good back in the day. Staff is really friendly Free parking in front of the facility

Very busy location, seemingly well-staffed, but service is extremely slow! Especially with the pandemic precautions and the increase in delivery service orders (e.g. UberEats), you can expect to be standing in line for a long while if ordering in-store. I think it took about 20 minutes for the whole process of entering, to ordering, to receiving my order and leaving. Thankfully the store is decent in size but the crowding becomes a concern when it's so busy. Some also don't follow precautions, such as when UberEats driver speak to the employees by bending over beside the plexi glass... Rendering it useless. They're typically the ones that don't follow the rules, which is frustrating for everyone else. Positive note is that my order has never been made wrong, with my many visits.

There are bazillion bubble tea shops opening each week, Chatime really needs to step up their game. I usually go for my standard Roasted Milk Tea but this time I changed it up a bit. While my friends all caved in to the Durian Milk Tea (now available for a limited time), I went for a Taro Smoothie (WTF right? Out of all things, face palm). The Taro Smoothie was shit. At first, it tasted like oatmeal... then I realized it was powdered milk that are clumped together into bits. I would NOT recommend this, ever. My friends who got the Durian Milk Tea said it tasted better last year. This year, the drink was not as strong and not as dark in colour. It is also less busy this Sunday evening, maybe it was because of the 'unbearable' smell of Durian or maybe because Feng Cha literally just opened right across. Who knows. I guess I should just stick with my Roasted Milk Tea at Chatime from now on to avoid anymore disappointment.

I've come to this location twice now, and I have to say, its definitely the most spacious location I've been to so far. The restaurant is clean, the staff are friendly and the wait isn't too long whenever I go . My usual go-to is a pearl milk tea - super basic i know, but it's one of my favourites

Bubble tea is really yum, but I gave 3 stars for the service. If the food/beverage industry is 50% food and 50% service....this is where this particular Cha Time location needs to re-train on finesse. Treat the customers with more respect and friendliness please! I heard a male staffer literally shout at a table of customers, 'NO OUTSIDE FOOD ALLOWED!' No tact, no discretion...pure venom. I was embarrassed for them. Store was packed and they were a part of a big party-at Ieast 6 Cha Time drinks purchased. Grass jelly roasted milk tea , 25% sweet, is my favourite order!

Durian milk tea?!!! :O

Wow, this Cha Time was a breath of fresh air, compared to another location I went recently. The staffs were all chirpy and in good spirit. As soon as I ordered my drink & tapped my Cha Time Elite card on the machine, the cashier immediately looked alarmed. She said I still didn't redeem my free birthday drink . lol My friend didn't have a Cha Time Card when purchasing bubble tea, and the cashier just asked if I wanted the point for myself. I certainly did! :D This location gets extremely busy at night, with long line that loops around the seating area. If it was another Cha Time, staffs will not smile at you. I like this location a lot. Large seating area , bright lighting , abundant free underground parking and fast wifi. Great place to hang out.

This is the place to be in a Friday evening, it was so busy. Luckily we found a table for a group of 5. The line just kept growing to order drinks. The girl working the cash, Tammy, was patient, cheerful and knowledgeable. I don't know about other people but I wouldn't be so cheerful if I had a constant stream of customers. I never seem to have my vicinity card on me so it's nice that she was able to put in my phone number so that I could get points from this order and she could check if I had enough points for free toppings or drinks. Our order didn't take long and we got to enjoy our drinks.

Chatime's Roasted Milk Tea with Grass Jelly 50% sweet and Less Ice now become my drink to order whenever I visit Chatime. I would never wait more than 15 minute for a BBT doesn't matter how good it would taste... So with that as a guideline. I gave Chatime RH a 3.5 star. No one was lining up and I was the only one that was there trying to get my drink. I got in and out in 5 minute! I don't mind coming back again if I have a BBT's craving. But at $5.31 tax in for a large, it won't be that often!

I drove past the Chatime store a couple of times so I hope this helps you find it if you have never been. The store is located inside of Commerce Gate, in the building across from Korean Grill House. Think of this as the North East corner of the plaza. The signature Chatime purple marks the sign. This is a GREAT choice for bubble tea if you want to take it to go. The store is small, though I have heard it is not as small or cramped as the Warden location. There are a handful of tables and chairs if you prefer staying inside. A low wooden wall separates the seating area from the order line. It can be fairly busy at times (especially in the evening). Be prepared to line up for your bubble tea during peak times. The wait is well worth it for a couple of reasons: -the price: A small drink is priced at $4.50 and a large from $4.70 to $5.00 -you can choose the percentage of sugar that is added to your drink (0, 30, 50, etc) -the variety of drinks on their menu is vast enough to please your tea drink craving but concise enough that it won't boggle your mind. -you can choose to add to your drink, tapioca pearls, red bean, grass jelly, pudding and some more that I can't remember. You can ask for samples of these, but I would suggest doing this only when there isn't a long queue out of courtesy to those lining up. -the washrooms are acceptable and fairly clean, the sink or washing area is located outside of the two separate washrooms Chatime won me over with my very first drink. I got a more than satisfying and delicious drink that was made to my liking and it came at a very fair price. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends. Be sure to leave yourself time to wait in line because more often than not, there will be a line. This Chatime now accepts cash, visa, and debit.

Chatime finally arrives in Richmond Hill!! When there aren't so much locations, ppl will definitely appreciate it more... i believe this is the 3rd store... Came here on grand opening day, and as expected it would be very busy...long lineups... there was a mascot at the door taking photos with ppl which is nice! February 14-20, buy one get one free in effect for grand opening...nice gesture....employees were giving out tasters of milk tea with pudding... I enjoy the shop as it was more spacious than Markham location, ppl were lining up in a civilized way and the line didn't seem like it blocked the tables too much... Signature drinks: roasted milk tea with grass jelly or pudding...their tapioca tastes more chewy than other bbt places... pudding was interesting... Love the fact where I can choose the % of sugar level, becuz other places when I ask for less sugar...its so hard to determine... Roasted milk tea with 30% sugar, less ice is my call with grass jelly... Most yummy bbt in T.O. (hip hip hurray)

M and I spotted here cause I was craving a peach slush with tapioca. It's in a plaza with multiple other restaurants/cafes and shops. It's a bit tough to find parking. The line up also goes by fairly slow but I think there was only two girls working behind the counter. I would only really come back if I was in the area or one of us was craving bubble tea

This is wat I order!! :)

A beautifully atmospheric afternoon tea spot in Toronto -- After Queen Tea Shop…read more This is one of those places that feels special the moment you walk in. The space is filled with vintage European charm, with delicate decor and thoughtful details everywhere you look. It has a soft, almost dreamlike quality to it. When we arrived, the room was already filled with elegantly dressed older ladies, which somehow made the experience feel even more authentic, like stepping into a quiet London afternoon. The whole atmosphere is incredibly calming. The afternoon tea set is generous and thoughtfully arranged. Each guest gets their own pot of tea, and I chose a lemon mango blend that paired beautifully with the desserts. It was light, refreshing, and balanced out the sweetness perfectly. It turned into one of those afternoons where you naturally slow down, enjoying both the food and the moment. And of course, everything photographs beautifully. A small tip--reservations are highly recommended. Even on a weekday, it fills up quickly, and it would be a shame to miss out.

Rating 2.5/5 - rounding up…read more Came here for a birthday celebration for my friends. They were the ones who decided on the location and I'm coming in here blind. This is my second time at a high tea place so I was comparing with one in Oakville. The restaurant is a small place with a few seats so making a reservation is best. This restaurant is within a small plaza within the mall itself. Beautiful decor representing English Victorian-like theme with dishes and plating presentation. I found this place to not be worth the price point in my opinion. The food was just mediocre. The egg sandwich was not good at all. There were too much green onions. The scones were not fresh and just too hard. The cucumber sandwich was not good either, it had a weird taste, I can't even describe it. I got the dulce de leche tea which tasted like water tea, I did not taste anything caramel or sweetness to it. Overall paying over $65 per person I expected a better taste than what I got. I would not come here again.

Great location and customer service…read more Scones: Decent. A little sweet (which I like), served with whipped cream and strawberry jam. Fruit: The fruit was the best part of all our meals here. It was so fresh and sweet, which I thought would be difficult to find outside of California! I also enjoyed it with cottage cheese, which is not so common at breakfast spots in California unfortunately. Tea: The tea is enjoyable but pretty average when compared to bougier tea spots like The Bruce in Stratford. It's not clear how long I should let it steep for for optimal flavor. I preferred the Winter Dream green tea, which was warm and cozy, slightly sweet. I also preferred the McCrae over the Boathouse blend. The Boathouse blend was a little basic for me, and the McCrae had a slight sweetness that I enjoyed. High Tea: Average - a good price and pleasant experience, especially if the weather is nice enough to eat outside (and catch a bald eagle flying by!). My favorite dessert was the carrot cake cupcake. Ice Cream: Yes, ice cream and tea is definitely a good idea! The banana cream pie tastes like your classic Runts banana flavor (the original banana that got wiped out) and the black cherry has plenty of big cherry pieces. Great servings, and we loved that they served them in reusable bowls instead of disposable ones. Would definitely come again!
