BEWARE- If you love getting ripped off, taken advantage of and lied to then boy is this the place for you. Chastang is an absolute JOKE. We bought a brand new F750 from them, spending over 112k which was purchased at the end of December 2023. The truck had some various issues soon after purchase which they fixed. Then it was back in with more serious issues. Once they finally assessed it they said it was the fuel system and that we either drove through water or got bad fuel. Which we did neither. It was clear they didn't know for sure but just a blanket statement of we think this happened and it's not covered under warranty. They wanted us to pay nearly 20k in repairs. They denied warranty coverage. Not only that but since this is a commercial vehicle it definitely impacted our business. We bought it brand new 6 months ago so we had a reliable vehicle. Various things didn't sit right on the lies we were being fed so we paid to have it towed to another dealership. That dealership quickly assessed it and said it certainly should be covered under warranty, got the work done in 2 weeks including last week being a storm and testing and releasing the vehicle back to us today. The fact another dealership took care of us better than the dealer where we spend 112k is proof that Chastang tries to rip off their clients, lie/fool and deceive whoever they can. They should be shut down there is no telling how many people they have done this too. don't walk, run away from these crooks read more

Thank you to Mr. Chris Hodges and his "closing time crew for assisting this damsel without a headlight. I came in to price my HID Headlight and it was $120 which is fine because another dealership quoted me the same light for $500.. crazy I know!!! I also didn't know how to access my headlight so that's where Mr. Chris comes in. After he handled his phone call we pop the hood of my car and he shows me what's what as he pulled out the turn signal light. Uhm not the light in question but you get the point. Two of his guys who were leaving for the day saw that we looked confused and helped out. Yelp when I tell you all I needed was to screw in my headlight that was covered by a round globe thingy and it worked again! The dealer does not respond. I dropped off my vehicle to get serviced on a thursday and was told it would be done the following day and I would not be able to get a courtesy car. The vehicle was not ready until monday and they were not able to complete the services i needed anyways. So I went to pick up my vehicle to take it somewhere else. Upon pickup I noticed my side window had been cracked while at the dealership and i immediately informed the service team. After calling and emailing 5 times to get it fixed, I have yet to hear a real response nor get intoch with management. I was promised answers a week ago and have heard nothing. Took my car here for recalls to be completed. They don't offer loaners while they fix it. They took a week longer than they said they would, which I had to pay for a rental out of pocket for that long.. my air bag symbol came on when I went to pick my car back up and they said they never touched it BUT IN THE PAPERWORK IT STATES THEY HAD TO REMOVE IT AND PUT IT BACK IN ORDER TO COMPLETE ONE OF THE PROBLEMS.. one of the recalls involved the replacement of latches on each door to prevent the doors from opening randomly while driving... well they didn't place the door cover back on the passenger side door properly because you can barely tug on it and see that it's loose... anyway, I recommend looking elsewhere for anything needing done on your vehicles. read more

My adult son found a truck he wanted to buy online and started a conversation with JJ. After agreeing in writing to an out-the-door price, JJ agreed to hold the truck until 5:00 so one of us could see it in person before signing the deal. There was no mention of a deposit or anything else needed to hold it. After driving 3 hours, I arrived at 4:55 to find JJ completing the sale of the truck to another buyer. He was completely unapologetic and the "General" Manager (actually a sales manager), Chuck, was slightly more apologetic, but made excuses for his actions. Chuck said he would have a "conversation" about this with JJ and offered to buy me some gas. However, it was obvious this type of "salesmanship" is a corporate culture and routine practice. Got a decent deal on a 2015 Nissan rogue here. Worked with Paul Curry who was super helpful and friendly. All around great guy to work with. My only qualms would be that the vehicle was sold with a massive crack in windshield (half way across the windshield and growing) and they only reduced the price after I asked and was initially told no because they are "no haggle". After I said I'd buy if they fixed the crack they knocked $200 off. It's roughly 2 months later and I finally found a shop I trust to have a weird noise on the front left inspected and am told it has, and has had for awhile, a leaking and worn strut that needs to be completely replaced for $600. So I'd just be wary of the service department here and whoever approves vehicles to be sold with pre-existing issues. Definitely ask to take whatever vehicle you're considering into a trusted shop to be inspected BEFORE buying. I unfortunately did not know of anyone at the time. read more

Just got off the phone with them. They are advertising a used (2021 with 3.5K miles) vehicle for sale but didnt put the price. The ad does show the original (brand new) window sticker. When they called back with what they wanted, it was nothing more than pure ugly greed. They wanted over 50% more than the window sticker for a used vehicle. I understand that the market is up right now but there is a huge difference in getting a fair market value and being a greedy low life pig. I hope anyone reading this, remembers this review when driving past this dealership to one with integrity and a sense of reasonable business ethics. We just finalized our truck purchase on 1/15/19. I have to say it was a very pleasant buying experience. We are from Pennsylvania so ours was a little more complicated getting all the paperwork in place. We worked with one of their newer sales guys David Schlothau. He did a great job, we used an outside credit union for financing which Chastang was happy to allow us that option. They didn't pressure us to use their financing and were not pushy in their sales tactics or for purchasing an extended warranty. I have to say that was so refreshing. They informed us of our options so we could make the best choice for us. We made an appointment to see our truck, they met us and took a test drive then immediately started paperwork. They made it so easy. They were so patient waiting for our financing check to arrive and were great with all the follow up things we needed. They went above and beyond by working with a local person to get our fifth wheel set up installed as well. The whole experience was top notch. Forget about the mega Ford dealers , don't waste your time chasing promises of unreal discounts off the MSRP,"$14,000 off the MSRP" as some dealers claim. I walked into one of the mega dealers in Houston and no one even offered to help me, so I just walked back out. The old adage applies that, if it sounds too good to be true it probably isn't. Be sensible, how do you think these dealers pay for all these mega stores and crazy advertising? I'll tell you how, by baiting you in to a car payment you never intended and probably can't really afford. If they bring in a 4 square document with, price, trade value, down payment and monthly payment get up and walk out. If they want to sell you an extended warranty or fabric/paint protection packages and include it in the final price you are now "financing" those items which is dumb. If the windshield has an add-on sticker for "nitrogen in the tires", window tint, paint protection, etc., runnnnn away. In case you did not know it the air we breathe is 78% Nitrogen!!! So why pay for them to put in "pure" nitrogen and honestly how do you know they did?? Don't spend your Saturday all day in a dealership where when you walk out it feels like you have been raked over the coals and end up with buyer's remorse or worse the day after. Car buying should not be difficult. If you know what you want and if you are realistic about what the true market value is of the vehicle you want, and if that vehicle is a For0,d and you live anywhere near Houston, Texas, do yourself a favor and call Justin Norris at Chastang Ford. This has to be the smallest dealership in size that exists in Houston. The entire sales staff are all within shouting distance of one another. The sales manager Mike Norris has an open door and you can walk right in and talk to him as if he was your neighbor. Patrick Chastang came out and shook my hand and asked if I was being taken care of to my satisfaction. Yes they are a little off the beaten path and are only open on Sat from 9am-3pm and M-F close at 7pm. This tells me that one of the reasons everyone is pleasant to deal with is because they have a life after work. I worked at another Houston Ford dealer and we were there for 14 hours on Sat and 10 hours or more Mon-Fri. One last comment here. There was, after delivery of my vehicle a factory flaw in the paint that I discovered when I got home. My first inclination was, "oh no, here we go." Nope, the salesman answered my text after normal working hours and told me to bring it back in Monday and re-assured me that the dealership would "make it right." Within a few days I was driving the exactly same configured truck and the other one was taken back by the dealer. Imagine my relief! This is almost unheard of these days. As I mentioned earlier I used to work for Ford and once we sold a car and it was driven off the lot the deal was final. This is mostly because in a case like this the dealership has to go to Goliath (Ford Motor Co.) as Davey (the dealership), and convince FMC to allow them to rescind the original deal and replace with a new deal and vehicle. Kudos to FMC and Chastang you now have a customer for life that will encourage everyone he knows that is shopping for a new car/truck/SUV to take a drive out and talk to Justin. Justin Norris is young and a hustler, customer satisfaction truly is his number one priority and he does take pride in the company he represents. In closing I must also mention that most folks dread going to FINANCE to close the deal. I have had customers that I have sold cars to, leave 3 or 4 hours after dealing with an overly zealous finance manager and tell me that dealing with the finance guys was the absolutely worst experience ever. That will not happen here, Cody Delaney in Finance was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He will give you the best rate, offer you options, lay it out for you to review and handle all the paper work quickly and professionally. Heck we even had time to chat about our families. I think that sums it up best, I felt like I was dealing with an old trust worthy friend or family member. I would rate this as the BEST dealer in Houston maybe even in Texas. I have a Ford Flex and had an issue with the vehicle making clunky sounds while turning. Went to another dealership that was only 2 stars because the address Siri gave me for Chastang was wrong. Decided to look Chastang up online and found the actual address. I'm so glad I decided to swing by there before committing to the other dealership. I wasn't sure they worked on regular vehicles because it say it's a commercial truck dealership and used vehicles. They were more than happy to assist me with the repair. I worked with Carlton in the service department. He was very professional and direct about the process. Which was greatly appreciated! Also kept me informed along the way with the status. Picked up my vehicle and immediately tested it on my drive home. ZERO problems! On a side note, it's nice to see the dealership did it's own test driving to verify the issue was completely resolved. AND documented that they did so on the receipt paperwork. You would think that'd be standard practice with any mechanic shop, but there are some that barely test to see if the issue is fixed. Had a great experience as first time buyers. Everyone there went out of their way for us and we really felt as though we were being treated like family. No pushy sales people, we never felt pressured or rushed. It really felt like everyone just wanted to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted.
