Really good Indian food, will definitely be going back the next time we are in the mood for Indian!

The food was very good but we were very disappointed in the portion sizes. We got the Kashmiri lamb which was delicious but it came with only one cup of cooked rice and it only had a few small pieces of lamb in it. We also got pani puri, the pani was good but the golgapa had very little filling in it. We also tried 2 kathi rolls and they were good. We tried the bahbuli (way too sweet) and boozy mango lassi which both tasted nonalcoholic. The owner was very nice though and added more alcohol to all of ours. Otherwise the server we had was not great and had very limited understanding of the menu. The restaurant as a whole looks nice with clever decor. Overall, the food was good and it's worth a try but hopefully they increase their portion sizes. read more

I can't even begin to describe how disappointing our experience at Chaska was. We were charged $200 for what can only be described as disgusting frozen food that had no flavor, no quality, and barely any quantity. Every single dish tasted stale and lifeless, as though it had been reheated straight from a freezer--nothing authentic or fresh about it. To top it off, the chai--which should've been the one redeeming factor--was clearly old and stale. When we pointed this out to the staff, they didn't even bother to apologize. Instead, they laughed at us, like it was some kind of joke that we figured out their little scam. No one in our group left full or satisfied. In fact, several of us felt sick after eating the so-called "food." This place is a complete rip-off, with outrageously high prices for the absolute worst dining experience I've ever had. I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Vijay and his wife this evening - the big hearts behind the incredible food that is Chaska. I have never tasted Indian food so light and fresh... and the garlic naan bread was off the charts. As soon as I entered the restaurant for a to-go order, I was pointed by a lady sitting amidst a group of people to go upstairs. I was confused, but complied. After waiting upstairs for several minutes, someone came to take my order. I asked for Pav Bhaji and Kathi roll to go. A few minutes later, the lady mentioned earlier came up and apologized, and said she thought I was with another group of people. They brought my order, and I left. Once I opened my order, I realized they did not add Kathi roll to my bag. I tried calling the restaurant several times but they won't pick up the phone. I drove back and they gave me the missed item. They tried to compensate by adding a soda. A soda is not going to even cover the cost of gas I spent on having to drive back, let alone make up for the time and inconvenience caused. First off. Food is great. Service is great The owner going around asking people how was everything is the perfect touch to any restaurant and it's really good to see in an Indian restaurant because then you can actually openly complain and not feel like words have fallen on deaf ears. The only down side is the price. It's really hard for me to criticize the price because any restaurant should charge whatever they want as long they can get away with it. But let's just criticize anyway. Some of the items are reasonably prized. Like the naan. And the goat curry. But outside of that. Not really. Paneer kathi roll should Not be 15 bucks. Should be 10 Salt lassi should be 6 or 5. Instead of 7 Chai is fine at 5 could be 4 Pain puri at 10. We can let this slide but the most absurd prices was for the OG Indian snacks. Bhel puri at 13 is robbery. Should be 7 tops Same goes for Dahi puri I can see them charging this much if the restaurant is in a casino. But not that far from strip. Shouldn't be that much. Many people don't care about how much food cost when they are eating out. So this would make this a 5 star restaurant for them. But as an indian. Who doesn't care much and eats out a lot. For some reason. It did make me care. I still ordered it and gona continue to order it. Even if the raise the prices. Buts It's just not morally correct. Regardless. Great job on the food. An unanticipated extra night in Vegas courtesy of United found us at a nearby hotel. Chaska is a delight. The food, other than the unremarkable samosas, was nuanced and complex. Their butter chicken reminded us of Dishoom's Ruby Chicken in London. read more

If I can give them minus, the owner who was probably a chef was smelling of smoke, I order a Vada paav to go and damn he charged me $10.99 for one vadda paav, the place looks cramped up with tables placed one next to other with no space. The vadda paav taste like crap and it took him half an hour to make. read more

I found myself here after a shopping visit and I was utterly disappointed. The disappointment was not from the food but from the owner. We had kids in our party and requested the owner to make the curry mild. He started throwing attitude and almost disrespectfully said do you just want me to make it with butter and salt. I would go back in person. We did take out. The Kathi rolls were great. The pav bhaji is good too. Good spice level but Small quantity. And they do not include a side of onion lime etc. It is typically eaten with that and when we called to ask to add they said to pay extra. Lastly, the biryani was super spicy but delicious. Note that it came with no raita. It's always served and raita is ALWAYS included anywhere you order it. These little things do make a difference. Food is good, but pathetic server, we planned to repeat for the lunch after good experience the previous night, but the server was rude, didn't get his name. For others, please make sure you reach 35 min before restaurant is closing not 20 min before. According to them their chef leaves 15 min before closing so no orders at that time (I respect that, but with kids with us, they didn't care) And their server will f you over if you request to be seated. read more

Chaska met my personal challenge as the first restaurant in the US that had dal makhani as good as I ate in India. Everything we ordered (dal makhani, paneer butter masala, naan, rice, chai) was good. The portion sizes were appropriate, service was as quick as you can expect for freshly cooked food, the spices and heat were on point. The place is also really cool in terms of ambiance. It's got classic Indian cinema-style art, plus a classy non-gaudy rose motif. It can work as a casual evening or lunch, or alternatively as a romantic night out. Definitely recommended! read more

The chef and server were courteous. Welcomed us even when we reached 30 minutes before the restaurant closing time in the afternoon. The server/chef handled three tables by himself and his wife. He entertained us quite well and told us where we could roam in Las Vegas. Apart from that, the food was excellent. Loved the chole, mainly because of the small pieces of American chilies and bell peppers as garnishing; good idea! Tasty dal makhani!
