    The entrance garden

Chase Court was the most amazing venue for my husband and my wedding! As soon as I saw the place in person I just knew it was where I wanted to get married. It looks like a little fairytale secret garden tucked in such a great location close to downtown. David, the owner of the venue was always helpful, kind and enthusiastic with my husband and I. The space has two outside areas, both gorgeous. The first is the entrance garden, a lovely outdoor walkway with tree branches overhead creating a hallway effect. A blooming tree next to a striking red door and vine covered stone walls complete the picture. Speaking of pictures, the entrance garden makes for a great spot for some staged pictures of the bride and groom. I was lucky enough to have 70 degree sunny weather for my march wedding and I was able to get married outside in the equally beautiful ceremony garden. David was so flexible when a week before my wedding date I realized how nice the weather was going to be and switched my ceremony from being inside to outside! White chairs set up with a koi pond, a beautiful pedestal for the bride and groom, stone walls really make this a gorgeous space. Inside there is a foyer, library, ballroom and upstairs a brides room. The brides room was a beautifully decorated and elegant. I got there an hour before my ceremony and after I checked in on everything being set up spent the rest of my time in the Brides Room with my bridesmaids and it was so fun because the windows were looking out on the ceremony garden so we could watch everyone arriving and getting seated. Downstairs was just as lovely, if not more so. The foyer, library and ballroom all have beautiful hardwood floors, gothic inspired stained glass windows and classic white walls. The library is the smaller of the rooms, a good spot to have your bar and hors douves set up and the ballroom is the larger room, where we did dinner and dancing. We used long tables in a U shape which worked perfectly for our 50 person wedding. The venue is so gorgepus and speaks for itself so much that you don't need too many decorations. We had simple hydrangea centerpieces which looked chic and classic. The location is also great. Technically, its in Mount Vernon but its sooo close and convenient to downtown. My guests and I all stayed in a hotel downtown and it was so easy getting back and forth. Overall, amazing everything here. Couldn't have found a more perfect venue.

I'm giving Chase Court 4 stars because it is a absolutely beautiful venue. My husband and I had our wedding there 2 weeks ago. We got had the elopement package with a cocktail reception. And while I wish we could have had more time but it was perfect. Now while I did not witness this first hand some of the stuff that David did was not cool in my book. He kept coming in the brides room over and over while we were trying to get ready. I also had someone tell me that he locked himself in the library so that no one would go in until after the ceremony. He also was putting chairs away while we were still there and did not say excuse me when my guests where in his way. He was however very helpful when trying to book our caterers and he picked an amazing officiant and photographer for us. So all in all I would recommend this place if you are looking for that gothic/ renaissance feel.

For our elopement reception cocktail party, we wanted to give our guests a taste of Baltimore's charm--and we knew from the start that Woodberry was the perfect place to do it. The event space alone is gorgeous, with the quintessential exposed brick and bistro lighting, making decor easy to simply add to the vibes. Jolanta also was so helpful in encouraging us to hire a photographer and music for our event that were both affordable and really added to the party. Our guests raved about the food, and we loved having local Baltimore craft beers as well as 2 custom cocktails to make our event really feel special to us. We cannot stop thinking about how amazing our event went--we will cherish these memories forever! Thank you Woodberry for giving us the night of a lifetime!

From the farm to table food, to the thoughtful drinks and cocktail list, to the immaculate attention to detail and kind staff - I knew we'd be in good hands. Jolanta and Sarah were an absolute pleasure to work with as we built the menu and we planned the event schedule. I knew I had nothing to worry about because they would take care of all the small things and execute the vision for a beautiful wedding day! The food was incredible and the atmosphere was exactly what I was hoping for. Woodberry is breathtaking and needs very little decoration, and my guests had nothing but good things to say. My personal favorites from the evening was the charm city heat wave cocktail, the ribeye with bernaise sauce and the desserts. The entire day was immaculate, but what really made it special is the event staff were all so kind and excited for us and complementing the space and the florals, and we got the impression that they really wanted to be there and cared about our celebration. all I have to say is thank you, thank you!

It can be completely hit or miss depending on who your bartender is. And last night I witness a truly disrespectful interaction between my friend who is a WOC and one of the bartenders. I understand having a limited drink menu, but each time my friend asked for a recommendation she was responded to as if she had just spit in that woman's face. The final straw was when my friend said, "I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with most of these drinks. What do you have that is sweet?" asking for a recommendation. The bartender looked at her and said "sugar" then rolled her eyes so hard I'm surprised they didn't get stuck in the back of her head. I understand being over your job, but my friend did nothing wrong. Was not rude, and in return got spoken to like a child. I don't know what the chip on this person's shoulder was, but if you absolutely HAVE to to be vile to everyone you speak to, try a back of the house position because you are actively damaging your bar's reputation.

There was a preset menu for cocktails, mocktails, wines, and beer. Some of the mocktails were sweeter than my liking, but it was fine. The staff were awesome. The bartender was solo up until it turned into a cash bar -- she was working really hard! The music was at a great volume, and food was being passed around regularly. It's really a great space for having a private party. And on top of that, while it can fill up quickly, there's free street parking outside. I do wish the bathroom was lockable -- the stall within there is, but otherwise things could get awkward. Pro tip -- it's behind the stage.

Definitely adding it to my list of Baltimore's most beautiful buildings. If you have a chance, don't hesitate to visit for a performance or event. I know I'll be back for another opera next season.
