APC catered my friend's wedding a few years back. I recently had a big corporate charity event and the best choice we made was hiring APC. They were incredibly responsive, helpful, and flexible leading up to our event. They did a great job working within our budget. At these fundraiser events I always worry about not having enough food but APC delivered big time. We had so much delicious food -- the value for money was incredible. Attended a special conference event happy hour on the USS Constellation at the inner harbor in Baltimore. Absolutely Perfect catered this event and their staff was great! The event offered "heavy apps" but I only saw Swedish meatballs and an assortment of cheese and crackers, plus spinach dip. The bartender was very pleasant and attentive. read more

Did a tasting and it was great. The food was out of this world. Booked them. However, when it came time for our event, absolute horrible. It was definitely not the food at the tasting. To top it off, the servers were very rude and even found stuff in the food. A lot of complaints at our event. Talked to the owner of the company. What a jerk. No reduction in price to make us feel better or anything. Had our money and he ran with it. Never again from this group. We had a small wedding celebration at home so placed an order for pick up for 12 people (their minimum was for 12). Although we decided on this place last minute, we were so pleased that we did! Everyone said the food was delicious. We got the char-grilled flat iron steak hot entree with the sides of mashed potatoes and roasted vegetable medley. The food was absolutely perfect! The steak was juicy and tender, the mash potatoes were amazingly creamy, and the vegetables were seasoned perfectly! The portions were generous and the prices were super reasonable as well. The only reason I took off a star was because they forgot to give us plates and utensils although they assured us we would get them. copy of note I sent to our caterer for their work on a funeral repast for about 60 people on a week's notice. I just wanted to thank you for the excellent job setting up our catering order for the funeral repast on Saturday. Everything was exactly as ordered, was set up professionally and was very accessible. The biggest complement I have is on the FOOD! The Pecan Chicken, in particular - I have had three servings of leftovers already, and am freezing some of that for later. The chicken was tender, and the batter and sauce - well, no way that could have been good for me . The pasta was also a big hit, and everyone loved the roasted veggies. Lots of highlights but those were the biggies. Oh - and the brownies - wow. I'm pretty sure there were no leftovers of those! Attended a family friend's wedding this weekend that absolutely perfect catering catered and multiple plates at the table me and my husband were sitting at had urine on them. The yellowish brown stains and ammonia smell gave it away. Appeared to be rodent urine. Will be contacting the health department to investigate the cleanliness of the storage area for these eating utensils. read more

If I could rate this company lower, I would. They are a complete disgrace. Better yet, they are thieves. My husband and I recently married privately without any group gathering considering it is not safe due to COVID. Our original wedding was planned for April 25, 2020, in the peak of the pandemic while I worked frontline in the hospital. Because group gatherings were not even legalized in Maryland at that time, we were forced to cancel the entire thing. After a lot of back and forth, this company finally gave us a portion of our funds back, but withheld $2500.00. They claimed that they would make up for it at another event we plan. We are now pregnant and expecting twins, and are attempting a safe gender reveal with small demands from catering. At first there was no issue. That is until they asked for our credit card information. They have stated that they will only stay true to what we were told if we have a event with the same amount of people as our planned wedding. That was 273 people. That's not even legal yet. Furthermore, the contract that we signed that included "incase of disasters" should be null and void. No one could have anticipated this happening to our country. We are all suffering. A large portion of catering companies have reimbursed their clients 100%, but not this one. This company is using our money to promote themselves by throwing independent events. My husband and I are all about supporting small businesses and we are very fair people, but this company is not even willing to work with us. I'll wrap this up. Let me start by saying. There are so many better catering companies to use, DO NOT USE ABSOLUTELY PERFECT CATERING - THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR EVENT THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY. Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, we had to completely cancel our wedding. This was no fault of anyone, but something we are all living with. Once we cancelled the wedding we spoke with all venders - DJ, Venue, Bartenders, Bus Company, Hotel, Beer and Wine Supplier, and catering company (APC). All but one gave a full refund. And that one is Absolutely perfect catering. Once I notified them (APC), they stated they would not refund my $13,000+ and would use that for a future event within the next 12 months. WOW, bad business, it gets better... After many weeks of trying to get a hold of the owner, manager, and my event person, they crafted this bogus contract/agreement. Where they would refund me a portion of my money, and hold $2,500 for a future event. Ok, im cool with that, I can make that work... so I thought. The reason why they wanted to hold $2,500 was that they stated a lot of hard work went into planning my event and should be paid for that work. SO DID EVERY OTHER COMPANY AND THEY GAVE ME A FULL REFUND!!!!! My response, NOPE, not part of the contract, not part of the pricing you provided, not discussed in any way, I am paying for the food and the service, not the prep work - how you pay your employees is up to you. I don't nickel and dime you on the cost of shrimp. Your price is your price and that is fine with me. I am NOT PAYING FOR PREP WORK. This is when I really started to get angry. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, ONLY YOUR MONEY. Now that some restrictions have been lifted, we can now have our wedding minus 85% of the people, so not the wedding we had imagined, but its happening and we are both happy we can celebrate with a few close family members. APC was my first call to get things rolling. Discussed what was going to take place and how the plans have completely adjusted. They had no issues and I presented the alternate plan with 100% agreement that the credit would be used in full. They then sent me a $5,000+ proposal. HOLD UP, i'm dropping from 250 people to 30 people, and you are proposing a $5,000+ event? NOPE. Ok, so what about delivery of the food, will that work, can we get it back to the $2,500 mark? Sure we can do that, but you can't use the $2,500 credit. You have got to be kidding me. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR WEDDING. So, we are now less than 3 weeks away from the new wedding date with 30 people coming from out of town, and they are NOT going to work with us at all. Unless I want to pay an additional $2,500+. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, ABSOLUTELY PERFECT CATERING, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. All of my other venders will be working with me, I will give them repeat business, I will recommend them to anyone needing their services, I will be an avid spokesperson for all of my venders, but Absolutely perfect catering, You will never get any of my business and I will continue to inform the public how horrible of a business you are and that you should NEVER get an opportunity to make someone's wedding day special, because you do not care about them and your actions have shown that only care about the money. People will pay good money for good food, good service, and not complain about it. But you have shown your true colors. Trust me there are many better companies to choose from. DO NOT HIRE THEM. We had catering this past weekend for our awards ceremony, and we used APC for our event. We absolutely loved everything about this company. The booking of our event was extremely professional. They really put you at ease with planning the whole event. They even made suggestions of things I hadn't thought of that made our ceremony better. They were just amazing to work with. During the event, they were on time and delivered as promised. Everything was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. The food was fantastic, the flowers and linens were beautiful, and the staff was professional and friendly. Even the gentleman cutting the roast was happy, smiling, and just fun to talk to. It is the Monday after the ceremony as I am writing this, and I have already had three of our employees tell me how great the food was and ask me who we used. I just hired Absolutely Perfect catering for my mom's 60th surprise party, which was held at my clubhouse. One of the qualities that makes Absolutely Perfect stand out among other catering companies in the area is the emphasis they put on their display presentations. Not only was the food delicious but the way in which they presented the dishes made the party that much more special. Our coordinator for this event (Kimberly) came to my clubhouse a few months prior to the event and helped us choose appropriate color patterns that would best suit the space. She did one heck of a job as these were among the most elegant presentations I've ever seen. Our day of coordinator was a woman named Maria who was also extremely accommodating. She had a great personality, came on to the event on time, and was a pleasure to work with. In fact, all 4 members of the Absolutely Perfect Catering staff that night were lovely people. I'd hire all of them again. As previously stated, the food was all outstanding. Everything was fresh and homemade, the carved filet that was served was probably up there with the best I ever had. The salmon was served chilled yet was both moist and flavorful (with grill markings). All the vegetables were fresh and vibrant and all the appetizers we ordered were delicious (lamb chops, risotto balls, crab balls, tuna, and chicken sliders). Honestly, everything we ordered was great. There were no weak items on the menu. The company was even kind enough to offer our guests a complimentary "opening beverage" of whisky & sour as an extra sweetener for doing business with them. They also cut my mom's birthday cake for no additional charge and were priced very fairly with competing catering businesses. As cheesy as this sounds, the quality of this company's service is truly deserving of the name. I'm a picky eater and a tough consumer who doesn't easily give high ranking like this. But I have to say that everything was perfect with our experience and I will undoubtedly use this company again for future occasions. They are a local company run by hardworking people and they deserve YOUR business. My husband and I used Absolutely Perfect Catering to cater our wedding at Chase Court in Mount Vernon. Kimberly S. was our event planner and she was awesome. One of the big reasons we picked them was Kimberly and how prompt she always responded to our emails (always that same day) and how genuinely excited she seemed about our wedding. When we met with her she understood our vision well, made helpful suggestions that you wouldn't think, and also helped us get what we wanted while staying budget friendly. The day of my wedding was 'absolutely perfect' in a large part thanks to our caterers. They did a lovely job setting up all my decorations and the tables etcetera. They helped keep me on schedule for the events of the night which was so helpful because I didn't want to be obsessing over it myself. The food is also delicious. For our appetizers we had a veggie display, crab dip and spinach dip. All delicious, numerous guests commented on how 'lumpful' the crab dip was. Then we had a seated ceaser salad which tasted great and was artful in its display. For dinner our guests had an option of a seated dinner of steak or chicken, both of which everyone raved about. read more

Absolutely perfect catered a small dinner party at my home. The order process and delivery were seamless. The food was outstanding!

Went to a wedding Sunday May 29th,2016. They used plastic forks and plates at the cocktail hour,really??? and passed hor's d oeuvres never made it passed the first few guests closest to the kitchen. They displayed Olives in nice glass containers as part of the middle eastern appetizer display,but there were no olives to eat. Also the bowls they served salads out of weren't very nice looking. Seemed like they were short on staff. Entree could have been a little warmer but it was good so was the salad. Water refills were non existent at tables. According to someone I know, they were nickel and diming for extra place settings,tablecloths, they even wanted to charge $87 for a kosher sealed TV dinner for a guest. $87??? Are you kidding me??? $30 I could understand but not that high. read more

My suggestion, have a lawyer review the contract before any signatures or money is exchanged. We attended Absolutely Perfect Catering's (APC) open house and were impressed with the presentations and the food. We had already contracted with the Baltimore Museum of Industry (BMI) to hold the Wedding reception. At that time, BMI only had normal folding chairs for the event. APC said they would include the subcontracting of a better chair and linens in our contract. Our initial estimate was for 150 guests but was told that APC would work with us if the numbers changed. What the owner should have said 'if the number of guests increase'. After revisiting the BMI with our own planner, BMI said they bought new chairs and we could use them for $300. When I contacted APC 7 weeks before our event to cancel the subcontract for the rental of chairs, I was told, by the APC owner, that the subcontractor would still charge me full price as a cancellation fee. I just stayed with the APC chair rental at an additional cost of $300+. After meeting with the APC owner to select the linens, we were disappointed with her attitude and linen selection. This was my daughter's email,' But it's just something else that doesn't make me feel important to the company '. Our own planner provided us with a better linens selection that was an upgrade to what APC showed us. Deciding to use the better linens, I contacted APC 6 weeks before the event to cancel the linens from the subcontractor. APC said that the original contract was for linens to service the 150 guests, and again I would have to pay the full fee, around $600, to cancel that order. Having personally cancelled other rental equipment well before I need them, there was never a 100% cancellation fee. Since you are usually arranging this about a year in advance, in general and for sure for APC, know what you want, put the minimum in the original contract because the caterers are always ready to add additional guests and services. read more
