Yes, at one point the bank was so small that I couldn't even send outgoing wire transfers, but I still loved the idea of working with a small bank - AND now they can send outgoing wire transfers:) They have expanded and literally, all of the employees that I have come in contact with are all amazing! Just to give you an idea of how great their customer service has been --I got divorced back in 2015 and my credit plummeted. I couldn't get approved for a car loan and I owed the IRS. I applied for both a personal loan and an auto loan with the credit union and, at first, they denied me. However, the rep that I worked with at the time, Jennifer S, told me to write a letter explaining my situation and it would be reviewed in front of the credit committee. A few days later, I was approved. Over the years, many of my loans went in front of the credit committee and they have all been approved. Another time, I was purchasing my new home and had a late payment on my credit report, and they worked with me to have it removed so I could be a first-time homebuyer. I also own a business, and when they started opening business accounts, they reached out and offered their services. Neil G, the president and CEO of the bank, literally emails me directly to offer business products and often works after business hours trying to help. During the pandemic, Neil helped my small business get a PPP loan and it was a smooth process. Oh, and let's not talk about when I tried using my card in Puerto Rico and it was declined. I called the debit card department and John answered on the first ring and helped me take the hold off of it. I have so many other great experiences over the years, but I can tell you this, the customer service is GREAT and this is one of the best banks I have ever worked with. I just got a little bit out this time, and of course I was charged a fee which never goes down well with me. I'm not a big fan of this bank generally, but the people of this location were friendly and there's nothing inherently wrong with it, except for all the horrible nickel-and-diming that was aimed at me - who is not an account holder - and I'm sure they do it to you even if you are as well, because I know that my bank M&T and several of my other banks do that to me.

I visited the branch seeking assistance and spoke with banker Alexander Chichlowski. Rather than helping me resolve my issue, he told me to call Customer Service and made me feel as though assisting me was beneath him. Even more troubling, he told me that if I wanted, he could close my account and I could go across the street to Bank of America. I asked to speak with his manager, but the manager never came to speak with me. I then called Citizens Customer Service myself while sitting in his office. During that call, Alexander told me to leave his office. After 30 years of loyalty to Citizens Bank, I was shocked by the lack of professionalism, respect, and basic customer service I received. I did not expect every issue to be resolved immediately, but I certainly expected to be treated with courtesy and to have a genuine effort made to assist me. A longtime customer should never be told that they can simply close their account and go to a competitor. I hope Citizens Bank leadership reviews this experience and addresses how customers are being treated at this branch.

Also, when we opened our accounts here, they didn't follow protocol on security questions (they had us write down our SS, passwords and etc which I believe is against policy). I have known several of the tellers for decades as the bank went from Bank of New England, to Shawmut and other iterations. They are always friendly and helpful. The bankers who sit at desks and help people with customer service are also extremely courteous and knowledgeable. All of the employees say hello to customers they see frequently by name. I couldn't ask for more from a bank.

My Rockland Trust debit card information was stolen and used by someone in another state to make a…read morepurchase of nearly $1,000.00 I was sent a text message from Rockland Trust on that day asking me if I made this purchase, to which I replied "NO", and the card was subsequently frozen and my account was given a provisional credit for that $1,000.00 fraudulent purchase. Fast forward 3 months later, and the provisional credit I had been given was then RESCINDED by Rockland Trust, and I was told they had been given "proof" by the merchant where the fraudulent transaction occurred that it was not fraudulent, despite the fact that the bank itself CONTACTED me that day when the purchase was made as they suspected it to be fraudulent. Now Rockland Trust is telling me there is "nothing more we can do", despite having already being able to provide me a credit for the fraudulent purchase that they TOLD me about the moment it happened. I will very likely be taking my business elsewhere entirely and never banking here again because of this complete failure, on Rockland Trust's part, to protect me and my financial security despite every indication and piece of evidence they had to do so.

I needed to make a wire transfer in order to pay a bill and the bank refused.. I asked why and get.. "We feel as though..." Who the fuck is WE.. this is my money and I needed to pay a bill.. What right does the manager Brunna have to refuse to make a transfer I requested so that I could pay a bill.. Bad enough I had to answer numerous questions and sign a waiver... To be refused because the bank didn't agree.. It's MY money and I worked hard for it.. if I wanna transfer it or fuckin burn it.. that is my decision. I closed my account and will never ever return!
