One of the closest "full service" Citizens locations to my house…read more Yet doesn't have any advantages whatsoever. I only visit a bank if it is convenient. A lot of the time this is a convenient stop for me on my travels, but other times it is more convenient to get other stuff done and visit the Citizens Bank in Dedham (that has a full service drive thru), or at a Stop&Shop (since they are open until 7pm weekdays and 5pm on Saturday). This location doesn't have a drive thru or extended hours.... quite disappointing! Here, the hours are Mon-Wed 9-4, Thu-Fr 9-5, Sat 9-1. The positivities of this particular location is that the service here is always prompt, fast, and caring. The bank is large and irregularly busy, so you have pretty good chances that there will be no line. And in the summer, they have a great air conditioning system, so that is a plus, right! Overall, it's okay, and only okay. I highly suggest visiting the Dedham location if you're like me, and prefer just driving through, or go to a Stop&Shop if you need to use a bank at a time when none of the freestanding locations are open. In all honesty, it can be much more convenient to do your banking and get your groceries at the same time. Would only be somewhat nice if they added a much needed drive thru to this location! 3 stars. Just average and okay.

My Rockland Trust debit card information was stolen and used by someone in another state to make a…read morepurchase of nearly $1,000.00 I was sent a text message from Rockland Trust on that day asking me if I made this purchase, to which I replied "NO", and the card was subsequently frozen and my account was given a provisional credit for that $1,000.00 fraudulent purchase. Fast forward 3 months later, and the provisional credit I had been given was then RESCINDED by Rockland Trust, and I was told they had been given "proof" by the merchant where the fraudulent transaction occurred that it was not fraudulent, despite the fact that the bank itself CONTACTED me that day when the purchase was made as they suspected it to be fraudulent. Now Rockland Trust is telling me there is "nothing more we can do", despite having already being able to provide me a credit for the fraudulent purchase that they TOLD me about the moment it happened. I will very likely be taking my business elsewhere entirely and never banking here again because of this complete failure, on Rockland Trust's part, to protect me and my financial security despite every indication and piece of evidence they had to do so.

I took my grandmother to cash a check and one of the bankers, Chris told us all the benefits to a citizen's account. We were convinced to open up a checking and savings account. They were alert to the potential threat and acted swiftly to freeze my account. I then went to the Canton Branch to follow up on the disputes, and Mr. Herrera (Thank you) quickly started the process. The customer service representatives were on the ball as well. They took my panic seriously and followed up on the event with a phone call confirming that everything is back where it should be. The staff are pleasant and patient, and they manage working the drive thru as well as in-branch customers seamlessly. In regards to the public lot, if you are coming from the Norwood area and on East street, make sure you take a left before getting to the light/intersection. There is a side street across from Double D's Deli & Market (insert laughter here) which will take you right into the public lot. If you go to the intersection, you have to wait there, take a left, go to the next light and take another left to get on a street that will bring you to the lot. Super inconvenient so just look for Double D's and take a left.

If you use a Rockland Federal Credit Union ATM card to withdraw money from another financial institution, they refund the transaction fees. A couple of times I have been out and about without my wallet and needed cash ... and, because they know me by sight, they let me do a withdrawal without ID. They contacted us when suspicious activity occurred in my daughter's dormant account. It's a good thing! Someone was draining it with fake jewelry purchases. Branch Manager Marlene Girvan is awesome. She is the face of the branch and takes that role seriously. What a gem they have in her! This bank has my back and I will never bank elsewhere.
