Yes, at one point the bank was so small that I couldn't even send outgoing wire transfers, but I still loved the idea of working with a small bank - AND now they can send outgoing wire transfers:) They have expanded and literally, all of the employees that I have come in contact with are all amazing! Just to give you an idea of how great their customer service has been --I got divorced back in 2015 and my credit plummeted. I couldn't get approved for a car loan and I owed the IRS. I applied for both a personal loan and an auto loan with the credit union and, at first, they denied me. However, the rep that I worked with at the time, Jennifer S, told me to write a letter explaining my situation and it would be reviewed in front of the credit committee. A few days later, I was approved. Over the years, many of my loans went in front of the credit committee and they have all been approved. Another time, I was purchasing my new home and had a late payment on my credit report, and they worked with me to have it removed so I could be a first-time homebuyer. I also own a business, and when they started opening business accounts, they reached out and offered their services. Neil G, the president and CEO of the bank, literally emails me directly to offer business products and often works after business hours trying to help. During the pandemic, Neil helped my small business get a PPP loan and it was a smooth process. Oh, and let's not talk about when I tried using my card in Puerto Rico and it was declined. I called the debit card department and John answered on the first ring and helped me take the hold off of it. I have so many other great experiences over the years, but I can tell you this, the customer service is GREAT and this is one of the best banks I have ever worked with. Beautiful, new branch that opened in late June. There's a good amount of parking, entrances/exits…read moreon both Centre and Belgrade, accessible entrances and ramps, etc. Outside looks gorgeous, inside is equally gorgeous. There's only 1 ATM in between the two sets of doors and I believe there was another one inside as well. I came half an hour before closing on a Friday with no appointment and there were no other customers. I got helped right away by a lady whose name I didn't catch but she was super kind and transferred me over to another friendly guy whose name I also didn't catch to help me close out an account. Actual closing of the account was fast and painless and there were no excessive questions about my reason for closing, which is always appreciated. I did get pitched for a new credit card since I have other cards with Chase but I expected something like that. The whole place/experience is very elevated. Everything looks nice and polished. Even the keyboards they were using were wireless and slim with computer monitors mounted on fancy arms. I'm in the area for family but if I lived here myself, I'd definitely come back. Would recommend paying this branch a visit if you need anything!

Also, when we opened our accounts here, they didn't follow protocol on security questions (they had us write down our SS, passwords and etc which I believe is against policy). Santander bank has been very helpful to me and others. I like their banking app in which I can see…read moremy balances, deposit checks, make transfers, and best of all, I pay all my bills through the bank's bill pay system online. I have known several of the tellers for decades as the bank went from Bank of New England, to Shawmut and other iterations. They are always friendly and helpful. The bankers who sit at desks and help people with customer service are also extremely courteous and knowledgeable. All of the employees say hello to customers they see frequently by name. I couldn't ask for more from a bank.

My Rockland Trust debit card information was stolen and used by someone in another state to make a…read morepurchase of nearly $1,000.00 I was sent a text message from Rockland Trust on that day asking me if I made this purchase, to which I replied "NO", and the card was subsequently frozen and my account was given a provisional credit for that $1,000.00 fraudulent purchase. Fast forward 3 months later, and the provisional credit I had been given was then RESCINDED by Rockland Trust, and I was told they had been given "proof" by the merchant where the fraudulent transaction occurred that it was not fraudulent, despite the fact that the bank itself CONTACTED me that day when the purchase was made as they suspected it to be fraudulent. Now Rockland Trust is telling me there is "nothing more we can do", despite having already being able to provide me a credit for the fraudulent purchase that they TOLD me about the moment it happened. I will very likely be taking my business elsewhere entirely and never banking here again because of this complete failure, on Rockland Trust's part, to protect me and my financial security despite every indication and piece of evidence they had to do so.

What a nice surprise it was for my mother to tell me about their conversation.. considering I'm over 50 and work hard for MY money.. to be told by my mom of Brianna's unprofessional behavior was shocking!! I needed to make a wire transfer in order to pay a bill and the bank refused.. I asked why and get.. "We feel as though..." Who the fuck is WE.. this is my money and I needed to pay a bill.. What right does the manager Brunna have to refuse to make a transfer I requested so that I could pay a bill.. Bad enough I had to answer numerous questions and sign a waiver... To be refused because the bank didn't agree.. It's MY money and I worked hard for it.. if I wanna transfer it or fuckin burn it.. that is my decision. I closed my account and will never ever return!
