We decided to place $5,000 with his program thinking as a long term resident it would improve a meger account that we had at the time. Advance then 5 years or so - made no interest pay, lost the $5,000 as he said the market dropped so much. When we went to the bank to see what could be done - low and behold he had packed up and gone !!!! Obviously since then we moved account to another bank with much sound advice - since, been able to recover some of the losses that we had with the Bank of America. Never again as we have now continually lived in Sun Lakes for over 30 years and as a new resident at that time watched the now "iron Oakes" club house under construction from our back patio in Oakwood.

Due to COVID restrictions an appointment had to be made, which is fine, but its awkward to get to the door, which remains locked, and stand outside unnoticed. We had to call the phone number three times before someone answered but from there it was smooth sailing. I feel bad for the team working the branch because they are clearly spread thin and working hard to make it all work.

It's all very low-key, relaxed. First Credit Union is a good one. I've been a member for almost 20 years. Don't regret it for a moment. This particular branch is pretty much the same as all the others. Courteous, friendly, helpful staff. You can do whatever "banking" you need to do here. Plus they have a drive through if you prefer.

Once inside it was very nice and a member service rep instantly asked if I needed water or anything while waiting for a teller. They only had two tellers working and one was helping an older lady that took quite a while. There were only two people in front of me and it took about 15 minutes to get help. Service was good once I got to the teller, but they really should train the member reps to step in or something when a line starts to form and they have no other customers.

Been a member for over 25 years. Gone downhill quickly in last 10 years. The last year has been…read moreABSOLUTELY AWFUL. They communicate their changes with little to no notice. Be prepared to run into many a headache accessing their online banking. They will update things without any notice to their customers. You will go to log in and your account can't be found to even do anything. You are basically held hostage trying to get into your account. Plan on spending 1 1/2 hours on the phone waiting because they are busy, and another 30-45 minutes to set everything up again. Then, you'll want to brace yourself, because they will lock you out again,a couple months later. Their system doesn't tell you you need to create a new password , it tells you they can't locate your account. Reality is they added a new password requirement. And the Desert Financial madness continues. It's called deja vu people! Speaking of the incompetence...how hard is it to email or mail notifications to customers? Or even post some sort of notice on their website since their system can't notify people as to what the error really is? ...unthought of concepts to them apparently! Guessing that's why they changed their name recently from Desert Schools to this Desert Financial- they have got to distance themselves from the ramifications. Unless you have lots of time to waste trying to access YOUR money - Customer beware!!! Desert Disaster Financial is more like it!
