    We recently had a larger check deposited which we knew would take a extra day to clear due to the…read moreholiday. It cleared after midnight this morning but with that said we had funds already in the account previously so either way we had no issue waiting. Now it's 6pm and we are negative several thousand dollars. When we called the first time the rep said the check was returned due to discrepancy. Okay but even then we should still have what we already had in the account available. The rep wrote it off as "we made several payments the day before and that's why it's negative" which was absolutely wrong. We hung up and recalculated the payments we made and it left us with the amount we already knew was in there. I called back again and the rep Carlos said they reversed the check to hold for the same reason the previous rep stated. I asked him why they doubled the amount of the check because they technically took the money back twice. He said they do that to hold and it should clear over night. Here's my issue. What if I was at dinner or the store and that was my only means to pay. They took double the funds rather than the original amount to hold. That makes absolutely no sense. This has me irrate. I want real answers and not the customer service answers.

    I was treated so poorly by Mountain America Credit Union. I have been a member for over 50 years…read more And now they have destroyed my credit rating. Because of a $30 bill. I had automatic minimum payment set up on my credit card and somehow it has been taken off. I have never missed a payment in the past had tens of thousands of dollars in my account. I was out of the country for three months and they hit me up with 60 days late on my credit card payment. Which the balance was $200. Going to the branch manager in Bountiful Utah he took away all my penalties and actually paid off the balance of my credit card and apologized. But it was still reported to the credit bureau as a delinquent. I have tried several times to dispute this with them, but nobody cares. Nobody is loyal. They have absolutely been heartless in their response. That being said, I have had a couple of really good managers that I have talked to. Kyle at the Woods Cross branch in Utah was excellent. I did talk to a young man in the Chandler office who is sympathetic as well. But calling the consumer loan services team. I was extremely disappointed. I would think after all these years of being a member of this credit union that people would bend over backwards to be compassionate and to champion for me to get this resolved. That is not what I received I felt like I was treated very poorly And treated like I had done something wrong. My credit rating was 840 and dropped to 665. After being reported this month it went up to 697. I am extremely disappointed with the way. I've been treated. No loyalty no compassion. Just treated like a bum.
