I had an extremely difficult and upsetting experience at the Sumner Chase branch today, specifically with an employee named Sandra. She was neither friendly nor helpful, and I found her to be surprisingly heartless given the circumstances. I explained that my husband had recently passed away and that I needed assistance obtaining information for the court, as I am the executor of his estate. I was trying to understand where five checks had been paid, especially since I was not in the right state of mind after his passing.
Despite this, she repeatedly told me she couldn't find anything with my name on it and insisted on the account number. I had to search through emails to locate that information before she would help. She also made belittling remarks, reminding me several times that I "wasn't listed on anything," even though Chase already has all the documents, including the death certificate and paperwork naming me as executor. I ultimately had to tell her that my husband took his own life, which made her lack of compassion even more painful.
For context, my husband and I live in Sumner, WA, but we always avoided this branch. We preferred the Puyallup or Enumclaw locations, where the staff were consistently kind, helpful, and professional. This experience reminded me why.
I will never return to the Sumner Chase Bank, and I highly recommend avoiding this branch, especially Sandra.
If I could give zero stars to her, I would. read more
