Had service on my car I was told the light on was a vacuum hose? How much do you charge to check it?

Grace the minimum diagnostic fee would be $50 to confirm. If we repair it, that would be waived. A vacuum line leak is not a cut and dry repair. There are multiple vacuum lines on most vehicles. Let me know how I can help further. Kevin 516-282-0202… Read more

I returned the third day having obtained insurance and other records. When I arrived the female manager told me they were "giving" me the extended warranty. When I read the contracts there was a line item for $2,000 for the extended warranty and the price of the vehicle was now $10,800 making my $7,995 car $12,800. I said "who asked for the extended warranty?" She told me "The finance company requires it because it's an older vehicle, and they find that when people are paying for repairs, they don't make payments" I said "Ok that's the most absurd thing I've ever heard, but let's table that for the moment, let's move to the price". They looked confused, they said "the price was $11,500 we knocked it down to $10,800 for you" They showed me on online listing for $11,500. I pointed to the salesman who I had seen 2 days earlier and confirmed the price with and he looked like a deer in the headlights and kept his head down mostly. I went outside to clear my head. I went into my email and found the actual listing for $7995. Then I called the finance company who told me that they would not require someone to purchase an extended warranty. I put the finance company on speakerphone and went back into the dealership. "The manager went into the bosses glass walled office for 2 seconds and came back out and said to me "Oh, you're right they don't require the extended warranty on THAT vehicle". I said "no, no.... They don't require it on ANY vehicle so let's not do that". Then I pulled up the actual listing on my phone for $7,995 and presented that. I really needed the vehicle or else I would have just walked out in the first 2 minutes. Finally, they removed the $2000 extended warranty and changed the price back to $7,995. I'd say if you wanna buy a car here, just be careful and don't let them bully you. If you want to buy a car there, let me know and I'll go with you. This place is why car lots will soon be a thing of the past and online models like Carvana, and Carmax, along with independent car brokers will be the norm sooner rather than later. One star here is ok, because I do like the car. The front headlight is out which they offered to fix, but, how do you sell a car with a headlight out ? Whacky stuff. At the end of the day I got what I wanted. Here's the thing though, which they will never understand unfortunately, I brought someone with me that day, who is looking to purchase a used car for their 16 year old son. When we walked in, he picked up a business card, when All this was going down, he put the business card back!! See, if you just operate honestly, your business will grow, when you don't, it shrinks... that's just the facts. They effectively turned 2 repeat customers into 0 repeat customers in one hour. I hope someone there learns this lesson at some point. Also, if you just put the price of the car on the vehicle while it's on the lot... but they don't so they can manipulate the price whenever they feel like it.

The guy replied asking when I can be there. I took that as my offer being valid. Test drove the Jeep, Liked it. When we went inside to make the transaction, the price became 18,995 before any tax, fees etc. I showed him the text, and the guy said " maybe I didn't read the top of the text" ( it was a short sentence that I sent him) That being said, I told him his price on his web page is 17,995 & that the price of this vehicle just changed 3 times in 1 minute. He asked what I would like to pay, I told him 15,000 that I offered, and he told me to come down. He said, ohh no, I paid more than 15,000 for it. I told him, No biggie, I was not hurting, just looking to upgrade. He then said if I would pay 15,000 CASH. My question, if 15,000 CASH is less than he paid for it, Why in the world is it enough. Anyway they had 2 vehicle's I was interested in one on the lot and another in a different location.. Perfect I could test drive one to the other...No problem however on the drive a check engine light came on.. I'm like that's not a good sign... trying not to get immediately discouraged because the sales person (Ever) is awesome.. He is what kept me in the game..anyway saw the second car and it was just as pretty as the first!! Like I said they have pretty cars!!! In any event I found the one with the check engine light more to my liking so we drove it back.. they plugged it up and showed engine problem..I'm out.. Just a healthy reminder Make sure you test drive and have someone check out the vehicle before you buy!!! Cars may not be great but the customer service (Ever) exceeds the vehicle shortcoming.. but I wasn't looking for a friend I want a reliable car.

The team we worked with at Enterprise Car Sales was amazing start to finish. At the Hempstead location we worked with Sonia, Anthony and Herber to help us get the right car for us. They also were able to work with us to transport a few cars to test that were at their sister Enterprise Car Sales dealerships within the tristate area. Their customer service was exceptional. The manager of the dealership, Melvin, also spoke to us and was very friendly. The one thing that stood out from Enterprise versus other dealerships is the no hidden fees. There was the standard dealership fee and the regular DMV fees. Everything was explained to us clearly and it made the process super easy. If we are to consider to get another used car in the future we will definitely consider returning again.

The car had 102k miles on it when I bought it. I had to buy new tires ($600), replaced the water pump and timing belt after 3 months of having it ($800), and there was a crack in the windshield the day I bought the car which I didn't see until I got home. The first couple days I had the car I had to keep jumping the battery. They replaced it. When I went to pick it up, the car was dead. They sent it back to the shop where their mechanic couldn't figure out what was draining my battery when they put a new battery in and the alternator was good. After the third time the car was sent back to the shop, they still couldn't figure it out, so I asked them to take it to my usual mechanic and they gave me a hard time about it. Per lemon law, the car had the same issue 3x in the first 30 days of ownership. I told them I have to return the car if it can't be fixed. They agreed to cover the costs of my mechanic figuring out and fixing the problem. He was able to solve and fix the problem, and I haven't had any battery issues with it since. 5 Star Auto handled the costs and made the frustrating experience easier. The one thing I felt was they were charging me too much above retail value. I have to say to this day I still feel like I should have paid less (at least by $800 for the water pump and timing belt), but it's been a few years of this car being very reliable since having those parts replaced. I've only had to do regular maintenance on the car (oil changes, brakes, etc...). I walked in there with one thing in mind, a car that gets me from point A to point B, and this car does exactly that. The beginning was rocky, and the transaction just never felt right, but I got a very reliable car out of it.

So I spoke to soon. The Maserati I bought for 50k$s had a windshield washer/pump not working, which…read moreis an electrical problem. They did agree to fix this for free. The 2 front tires were so bald the front left tire blew on New Year's Day, so we bought whatever tire we could to get home. We bought the car Dec. 18th 2020. The spare was missing a pin so it couldn't be inflated. This caused roadside assistance to go back and get a special part to remove the pin from my regular tire and put into the donut and use that for the time being. So because we bought a used Michelin for $200, they ordered another new Michelin since the front right was about to pop too and could have led to a serious accident. The back tires are Pirellis with about half there life span left and it's a AWD car. All the tires need to have the same tread to avoid serious damage to the drivetrain etc., and even losing control in snow and causing an accident. So the best the manager agreed to, was a $200 check for the tire THEY ordered, which we weren't taking. So we ended up going directly to a Maserati dealership. They fixed the tires for $770. I.A.M. got me a free alignment though. So -$200, that's $550 so far they should have paid. Turns out all the brakes are shot, which we took pictures of. That's a 3k$ repair. Now we're at $3,550.00 Keep in mind this car passed inspection apparently the same month I bought it. They don't do inspections. Just good friends with whoever does them I guess...With the details provided this car never could have passed inspection..legally. Also beware of the shiny black spray on the sides of the tires. They tricked us and this is far from a first car, so I can't imagine how easy it would be for them to fool other people. It turns out according to Maserati, that two pieces that go in the front of the car are shot. This caused the front tires to go bald. Add another $500, which is probably a low ball. These pieces I believe were control arms and are under warranty at least though, but still besides the point. Luckily I bought a bumper to bumper warranty and can go directly to Maserati for service. We have a family member that is a mechanic who works on Ferrari's. He didn't come for the sale or anything, but if it can happen to us it can happen to anyone. Get any car from here inspected from a 3rd party that you trust before buying any car here. Especially during these tough times I don't want to see this happen to anyone. In conclusion I gave a 2 star instead of 1 because the car was beautiful and I'm happy I owned it. Also the service department did try and fix everything they could, (the brakes were never mentioned though and we found out later) but the way it was sold was unacceptable. Also the manager agreed after trying to only pay $150 first, to pay for a tire THEY ordered since we wouldn't take it. That tire never should have even been ordered though. Even though that really just covered a tire we bought that never should have been bought either! This is obviously because a car that just passed inspection that are being sold for a high price should not have bald tires on it! So I think that was dealt with poorly. They wanted to save as much money as possible. Pirelli tires cost more. Maserati brakes cost even more obviously.
