My Mini Cooper had the starter die. I was told it would be 2 days to do the job (happy) & would be…read more$593 (before tax). I was told it would be a genuine Mini part, it turned out to be a rebuilt Bosch unit. OK, but OE is not the same as OEM. At least it wasn't aftermarket. I was charged $307 for the part and $286 labor (2.75 hrs @ $104/hr). The cost (markup) on the part was fair (~15% from online) but the labor rate is very high. AutoMD.com estimates ~2.5 hrs for the job and the avg independent shop in my area is ~$85-$90/hr, with a range of $230-$265 for labor on this job. With variance in price on part, total estimates were $505 - $664. Faber is on the mid/high side. Pros: fast service. Fair parts cost (~15% markup). Warranty on work. Cons : Not clear on OE vs OEM parts. High labor rate for area ($104/hr), excessive labor time valuation (+0.25hrs over estimate). Mid-high total job cost.

Staff was great, they have so many more tint percentages and we found a perfect match. The place itself has a vibe....sick decor, awesome music playing, free water and soda as you wait. It was very busy, but they had reasonable pricing and got me in and out quickly. I was more impressed that when I got my Jeep back, there was protection on the carpet and steering wheel as well as an instruction card hanging from the mirror.
