thank you mike. i do not need free oil change. i was wrong in my previous review about mike. he charged me $500.00 more than he or any other auto mechanic charge. he charged me $900.00 labor. rip off. replace sparks plugs $465.00 only labor he charged me. i brought my own sparks plugs other places $120.00 labor even lexus charge $497.00 plus tax included sparks plugs. $250.00 labor to change struts bearing which usually $125.00. he charged me $150.00 labor for rear brakes and rotor which usually max $90.00 i paid him $1295.00 total. he charged me at least $500.00 more than he should. god will take care of that. i will make that money. but i will never ever go back to mb auto ever again. he is tooooooo expensive. he doesnt want regular clients. i do not know how people can sleep peacefully when they do that to other humans. thats why god sends these disease on earth but we still do not understand. god bless mike and all of us. read more

It's always tough finding a great mechanic no matter where you go. Well Ladies & Gent's I've found your solution. Mike at MB is awesome to say the least. Honest and trustworthy, WAY better rates then the stealership and far more reasonable as far as actual labor time. There's non of that 4 hour rate to do a basic in an out, billing here. The shop is always filled new clients, another great sign that a shop is legit. They always work with you there and most importantly, they know what their doing! They specialize in volvo's and pretty much only volvo's. If you have a volvo but another car that isn't then by all mean's bring it to them regardless. A note for enthusiasts here on the island, this shop is to volvo's as "the little garage" is to BMW's minus the insane pricing. If you have an R, I'd say there is NO other place to go but HERE. I take my S60R here, I honestly would never let a dealership touch it after seeing the work these guys do. Top notch in my book A+ read more

I have some quirks with my car, a volvo s60 and before I brought it to anybody, I did some research on YouTube to determine what could possibly be the problem. I also did it to determine labor times. Mike at MB is very smart and knows the ins and outs of volvos. Hes engaged in his work and does the job quickly. Best of all, he'll let you know what you need and what can wait - really important when money is tight but you need maintenance work. Kind of skeptical when it comes to mechanics, especially those who "specialize" in European cars. All in all, I took my Volvo in for brake work, was quoted the best price out of 5 or more places and guaranteed his work with OEM parts. Mike @ MB is very helpful in answering all your questions. Update 8/13/2014 I've used MB Auto on 3 different occasions over the past year. Mike and his team are very passionate about cars and I have always been impressed with the work he has done on my 2005 Volvo V70R. The latest trip gave me a unique experience that I wanted to share. After a week in the shop to replace a fuel sensor and shocks, Mike calls me and tells me that an accident happened. The hood was not latched when he test drove the car, it popped up and it got bent while driving. Rather than repair the dent, he said he would get a new hood and have it painted. It took two weeks, but when i got the car back it looked better than when i brought it in. The paint matched perfectly and you would never have known it happened. He did it right, having the paint feathered out on the side panels so that there was no clear delineation between fresh and 9 year old paint. I was really impressed with the result. He lost $1000 out of his pocket because of this issue, but he was so good in how he handled it that he has earned a loyal customer. How Mike runs his business in the worst of times should give you piece of mind. He is always reasonably priced, recommends you buy your own parts and send them directly to him so it costs you less and is very knowledgeable about Volvo and aftermarket parts that you can make the best decision about the parts you need. All in all, what more could you want from your mechanic? I cannot recommend him high enough. 1/17/2014 - Mike is an extremely knowledgeable and smart technician. He's honest, looks to do things right the first time, he's creative, is efficient with customer's money and makes good decisions. He communicates well, bills very reasonable rates, and is willing to accommodate your needs when need to drop off or pickup on a Saturday or Sunday. He knows when to use aftermarket or OEM parts and will let you source them yourself to minimize costs. His shop is very clean and professional. I have a Volvo 2005 V70R, and if you have an R, Mike is definitely your guy as he and his wife are R enthusiasts. If you have a Volvo that needs service, go talk with him.
