He gave us the option to reschedule or give it a shot knowing the bite could come back any time. We chose to reschedule for a few days out. On fishing day, there were only 4 of us anglers, Captin Jarrid, and our deck hand Ayden. Jarrid & Ayden set the trolling lins out and we hit the tuna real quick. A couple guys landed, but the bite died down. They set the trolling lines out again, switched jigs a couple times and we hit the tuna school again. It was non stop action till we finally ran out of bait. We got tons of fish. Awesome group of guys on board. Jarrid & Ayden worked real hard and this trip was more than worth it. To make matters worse, as she got off the call, she hurled offensive remarks at me. Salty fisherman are one thing, but being rude, condescending, and calling people four-letter words is absolutely ridiculous. They were complete ***. It was the lack of communication that was most frustrating. No welcome aboard, no info on how long it would take us to get to the fishing grounds, no info on How to catch fish, no tips, no help. The 2 guys on the crew spent most of their time with one guy fishing off the bow. They obviously knew him, don't know if he was a friend or staff or regular, but he had a great day. Got full attention and pulled in many fish. Nothing for my group of 4. Captain did not tell us we were done salmon fishing just bring it up and off we went. None of my group caught salmon. The bottom fishing was fun and we were on the fish but we only fished for one hour. Nobody told us we were heading back just reel in. Of course we all "got" fish to leave the boat with but this trip quite frankly sucked. There are a lot of charters at Westport, don't take a chance on a bad day. Try another boat.

Still, in spite of carrying a boat of half seasick passengers who thought they knew best regarding what they wanted (myself of course included)--which was to go home and kiss some land--Captain Tom kept on. We finally found an area where the bottomfish kept biting and magically delivered not only more fish than we needed (though we didn't hit our minimums which.. according to my uncle who's done this before with Tommycod and according to the proud captain.. is unheard of) andddd best of all the sky opened up and the seas settled down. All went home happy, feeling much better, and hungry for fish. Also of note, their max passenger number to 6 which makes for a tight knit bunch and individual attention. They go the extra mile to let you see the rarities and they get just as excited as all the rest of the people on the boat when one appears.

First time visiting this Marina area to do some Dungeness Crabbing! Constantly walked along the…read moredocks, the steel bridges and boardwalks to get to the nice crabbing spots. We brought our cages and nets to do some crabbing for 1 1/2 days. Arrived on Friday, 5/30/25, late afternoon at 2:30 PM. There were way too many people on the boardwalk, so we couldn't get a decent spot. Still did some crabbing by throwing the nets down for a few hours, until 7:30 PM. Got some nice sized keepers.... On Saturday, it was pouring rain until 12:00 PM. But went out from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM to obtain Dungeness Crab Limits for 4 People! 2 Coolers full of them! It was a great day after the rain stopped and we were able to catch an abundant amount of keepers! Turned out to be a nice day and an enjoyable weekend catching some crabs for the family!!! We will definitely be back another time...

We went to the Marina one year for a pirate festival in which people of course dressed as pirates but a good runner up was mermaid costumes. It was a good time! You can also go on the jetty and get a great view of the Olympic Mountains and see the town of Ocean Shores across the water. Good views from the jetty and it gets even better going to where the fishermen are on the boardwalk. There is also a tower to go up on the west side of the marina for good views as well. When Steve and I were walking along the docks and bridges of the marina we spotted a some aquatic wildlife like harbor seals and jellyfish.
