Super easy to rent a canoe from Canoe Dude in Ocean Shores. We arrived at the boat launch and he was there with everything we needed to head out on the canals. I was worried the canoe might tip but it is super sturdy and we had so much fun. We saw alot of cool wildlife, dear, blue herons and tons of fish jumping. I think I saw a beaver too. the day went way faster than we thought but the Canoe Dude was totally cool about us staying out longer than we planned. It was just so easy, when we got back to the docks, he was waiting for us and we didn't have to do anything. he took care of everything for us. will definately book again. read more

Never been kayaking before so we lucked out with Canoe Dude. He was open for when we wanted to leave and when we would get back. John made me feel comfortable with this new adventure. He met us with the tandem kayak and single kayak, the safety equipment and map of the waterways. He took the time to make sure we had the life vests on correctly and we understood the map. He explained the waterways and approximate time it takes to navigate them. He helped us get in our kayaks and make sure we took off without issues. When it came time to come back, we called to let him know where we were, and he knew what time to meet us. On a personal note, I casually mentioned I had a bad knee. He remembered that when we returned and was careful in helping me get out of the kayak and supported me until I could get my leg under me. I appreciated that so much as I did not have to ask.
