Why do I pay for spectrum wifi if it won't work. I'm constantly having problems where it is out for days.

Raised our bill 25% saying no promotion is available any longer. Prices for long term customers should go down, not up. Guess if you have a virtual monopoly you can just charge what you want. Maybe someday we can get fiber here. read more

If there was a Zero star rating for this company, I would use it. I am dependent on internet to do my job, as I work from home. I was told by my sales person that my computer equipment needed to be at the new home in order to hook everything up and configure it properly, so I moved my entire office suite to the new location (2 hours away from my previous residence) the day before my scheduled installation date. Not only did they reschedule my initial appointment on Sunday morning (requested in order to minimize my work down time) because the installation guy was too hung over from the Saturday night before to come into work, but when did they show up on Monday morning, they said that it would be at least A MONTH before I will have a cable installed because they miscalculated the distance from the existing line. So... how am I supposed to do my job???? Guess that is not their problem. Broken promises, and no solutions. Its not like I can just take a month off of work, and I have already moved, based on their schedule. I MIGHT get a call to give me an anticipated date for an actual installation date estimate in "a few days". read more

0 Stars I dread having to go into the office and when I absolutely have to, I am met with rude employees who seem to hate their job. Today I went in to simply change TV options and take voice off our package. I came home to no internet or TV service. After being on the phone for 3 hours (multiple dropped calls, no call back even though they say they will, having to repeat my issue 5 times) a technician needs to come out, and you guessed it, next available appointment is in a few days. read more

Channel information goes out frequently. Each time it is reset, programs to be automatically recorded must be reset. While the guide is downloading (about 24 hours), it is not possible to set programs to be recorded. This company must find a way to solve this issue. read more

The worst internet provider in Northern Michigan. Every summer they have system wide outages from 1000-5pm. When you call it is always the fault of your equipment. Then they want a tech to come out a day later. Well that night service is restored and they cancel your appointment. Well it has been 3 summers and I am done. They are going to loose a 20 year customer and probably dont care. read more

"Up to 60 mbps" means you'll get 1.5-2 mbps inconsistently. Currently looking for other options. Not worth the money. Would rate zero if I could. read more

signal from the phone with customer service but were unable to get the SIM card to work in my phone. The next day we were surprised to find our first card in the mail. We again contacted customer service and spent 3 more hours on the phone trying to get the SIM card to work. With no luck we all agreed to take a much needed break and hung up for the night with customer service agreeing to send the third SIM card. In two more days, a package arrived from FED-EX with TWO more new SIM cards in it. In the meantime our case had been escalated to level 3 intervention to the engineer tier where they would try to solve the problem with programing changes. We entered the third stage of intervention being somewhat slap-happy. We had done everything to the phone humanly possible and had repeated the same procedures what felt like millions of times. We had gone through 4 SIM cards and repeated instructions to try everything under the sun to get the phone to work. Now remember-the phone worked perfectly moments before we removed the SIM card from my previous carrier. The phone would recognize Spectrum's SIM card but after that would not connect with the signal from Spectrum. No phone service period! The decision was made to let the"patient" die. There was nothing else to be tried. No one could figure it out but for some reason the phone could not connect with Spectrum's towers. The customer rep decided that my best option was to purchase a new phone from Spectrum and hopefully with a phone from them I would have no further problems. After 6 days and 16 total hours on the phone I gave up. I decided to look on line for a new phone. On Spectrum's site, one of the first things they have you do is to check the compatibility of your phone with their services to see if the phone will work. I entered my phone's info and a large banner appeared saying your phone is not compatible with Spectrums system! Remember at the beginning of this horror story I told you that the sales rep I had first spoken to had told me that he had checked their compatibility list and my phone was definitely able to be transferred and would work with their system!!! This epic mess could have been avoided altogether if the first customer service rep would have checked and had given me the correct info. I was so angry that all my time and energy had needlessly been wasted. I wanted to be compensated in some manner. I again contacted customer service and GET THIS- He offered to compensate me by offering to pay my next month phone bill-A WHOPPING $14.00. I was so angry and upset with him. I told him I was a 61 year old amputee who used a wheelchair to get around. My phone was more that a toy! It was a vital way for me to stay connected to the outside world and this disaster had kept me without a phone for over a week. I have no idea when this mess will be corrected. I demanded to speak with his supervisor and told him that my time was worth much more than 14 dollars and the whole problem started with bad info from their sales rep who should know his business inside and out. Obviously, the Old Spectrum has changed very little over the years and the new SPECTRUM MOBILE is no better. Customer service is the worst and everyone has their head up their asses! I will be waiting 24 to 48 hours more to speak to a supervisor still without a phone. I will also have to go to a Spectrum Mobile store to get a new phone The closest store is 70 miles from my home. YAH-WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! Please be very hesitant to do business with this company. One star was as low as I could go.. If there were negative numbers I would have given them the lowest negative score possible!!!!!!!! read more

Very very poor customer service. Locally and nationally. They know they are the only game in town. I am disabled and unfortunately watch quite a bit of television. I get paid monthly and they will never give me an extra few days to get to payday. Customer loyalty is rewarded with increased fees. Have fun with them. read more
