05/19/2012 my friends and I went on a Vineyard Tour for to celebrate a birthday. The birthday…read moregirl, booked and organized the trip. A contract was signed for 15 girls to in a limo. She told Mike of LI Vineyard Tours, that she may have 16 girls - again she signed a contract for 15 girls. The car was still going to be a limo NOT a limo bus. Prior to the signing of the contract, my friend was told that there were no limo buses available for the date of her event therefore she would have to limit the number of girls on the trip. She told many of our friends that they could not attend. The day of the trip, Mike upgraded the limo to a limo bus. Thank you. The birthday girl called to inform him that we will only have the 15 girls attending that she signed the contract for. Mike raises his voice, screams at her and talks to her in a demeaning manner. He states that there was a "verbal contract" of 16 girls. That it is the reason why he upgraded her vehicle. His tone and deameanor was inappropriate and unprofessional. It does not matter that there was a "verbal contract" for 16 girls. There was a verbal contract for a limo and you gave a limo bus. She signed a contract for 15 girls; the signed contract is the only one that actually counts (okay, Mike?). He hangs up on her and calls the driver to say that he is ordered to NOT move the bus until he gets every dime. We paid for all 16 girls. We went on the trip and had a good time, once we let this frustration go. It is not that he made us pay for an extra person. It is the way he spoke to my friend. She sat at the front of the bus and I could hear him on the phone all the way at the other end. That is no way to conduct business; that is no way to treat anyone. With that being said, us 15 girls (and all of our friends) will never be using his company again.

Communication with Kevin and Mike was easy from the start and any concerns I had were dealt with in a timely manner. Both Mike and Kevin were friendly and really easy to work with, with the whole process being seamless. There was a bit of rain on the day of but it didn't rain on our parade. Our driver, Sal, was amazing and kept us on track to get to each brewery and back home on time. I would highly recommend Tapped Enterprises if you are looking for a tour out in Long Island.

You have a great driver, Kevin, who is very knowledgeable, friendly, fun, and most of all patient to put up with all our drunken shenanigans during this past weekend's Yelp Beer Bus event. The bus itself is clean, comfortable, and has both a tv and dock for playing your Ipod's. It's a great way to get around and taste a lot of beer without having to worry about getting a DWI ! Kevin knows all the routes to some of the best local breweries, and is a big craft beer guy himself. They do many beer tasting events on LI and around the local NY area and have packages available for group trips, or shorter shuttles to the local brew tastings. Check out the website for upcoming beer events and rates. To me, it's totally worth the cost to enjoy a worry free, and safe day, rather than drinking and driving. We hit up Great South Bay, Long Ireland, and Port Jeff Brewing Company. That last stop in Port Jeff on a terrific spring day was just perfect to try some beers and then wander around the town for a bite to eat before heading back to the train station to drop us off. Kevin has a great little biz here that I wholeheartedly endorse. Also, between stops it pretty much became a beer fueled dance party bus with some moves going on that would put some strippers to shame! Yay beer!

Al always got back to me promptly. Our driver Pat was courteous, professional, accommodating and friendly. Our pick up was 10:30am. Pat arrived early and called to let us know but didn't rush us at all. He helped us with our bags, helped us into and out of the limo, etc as all good drivers should. There was water and a bottle of local wine in the limo. Once we got to the wineries he escorted us inside and got us all set up. At the second winery there were some stools set up instead of seats. Pat quickly went and got us some comfy chairs. He let us know what our timeline would be at each place and always arrived early but didn't rush us. Lunch was pretty good. Everyone liked their food. No complaints. We didn't like the third winery (our fault, Pat tried to politely inform us it wasn't his fave but didn't want to push us into not going and regretting it). If you go up and down the long way, you can get a nice 3.5 miles in on this baby with some hills. Throw in a weighted vest, and you're getting yourself a solid light workout. There are already so many reviews, so just some notes: 1) Make your way around the current dump (also a Nassau County gem, seriously) and drive slowly. 2) Parking is tricky at certain times of the day and on weekends. Make sure to come before 9:30 on beautiful days, or else you'll be parking far, far away. More steps, If you really want them I guess. 3) Wear your sunscreen! Skin cancer is no joke, and it's pretty bright up top with not a lot of coverage if you walk around to the lake. 4) Beware...No lights in the bathroom and really not the best place to use the loo. There however is a shopping center close by... 5) Look out of all sorts of critters from birds to bugs.. including ticks.
