Hi and the last question relative to your salad bar was in 2022 therefore, may I ask if you still have your salad bar offering at dinner and also perhaps at brunch too ? Thanks kindly and cheers !

Good Afternoon Marcia! We do still offer our salad bar with brunch and dinner services! Brunch is Saturday and Sunday starting at 11am! Give us a call and we would be happy to set you up a reservation!

Do you have valet parking?

We have metered parking available for our guests.

Is there a kid menu?

Yes, we do have kid's menu available at our restaurant.

Do you have Bernaise sauce available?

Do you have gluten free options?

Well, they have lots of meat and fish, veggies, and a decent salad bar, which are gluten free. But I've never seen specifically gluten substitute bread alternatives

Can we bring our baby? Would a stroller be okay to take in?

Yes you can.

What is the "Farmer's Bar" on the menu? Is it the wonderful salad bar having returned with a new name, or is it something else? Thank you!

It's a salad bar with all types of meats and cheeses. Even caviar. That's what I had for dinner and I was a happy girl leaving.

Are you open 4 July 2023? Ana, your link to Open Table will not allow reservations on that day. Are you booked solid?

Do you have to be vaccinated to dine?

If you are not vaccinated you must wear a mask when you are not at your table.

No since there is no outside seating.

Are you open ? Having calling several times today and no answer.

Closed on Saturdays, closes early on Friday afternoons at 3PM I believe.

Would you say this place is Kid Friendly? Would love to come here for dinner but have a fussy toddler and newborn baby as well in my group?

Although I know they welcome kids it's more suited for children that are 10 to 11years on up. I've been here several times, and I always noticed that the patrons are usually there for a special occasion, couples night out, etc. Generally the…

You know how hard it is with a toddler and baby. But we also know the importance of bringing them. We were super excited to have an unbelievable steak dining experience. We were in Carmel for two nights and we researched this place to eat at. Upon arriving with our party of 6 everything was smooth. We put our order in and then what felt like over 90 minutes we were asked if we wanted our daughter's burger to come out first. Which we did. After some time there. The A5 Wagyu came out. The stone plate was pretty cool. As a matter of fact, our 3 year old had her first tasting experience with the A5. She absolutely loved it. And so did we! The actual timeline was sit down reservation at 6:15 and first A5 Wagyu to come out was 40 minutes later. Then a total of 90 minutes before our entrees came out. That was the time stamp on our food pics. Finally our order came out which was a porterhouse we ordered to split for two. It had the spinalus, and all the yummy with it! It was incredible. My friend ordered just the spinalus and said it was the best steak he's ever had. The food was definitely A+. What happened next brought the experience down to a 3 star. We paid for our deposit through the chase reserve portal using Tock prior to arriving for dinner. We opted to utilize our points since we saved way more by doing that. We paid a $300 deposit worth points. So in essence we should've received a bill with a minus $300 on it. When we received the bill, it did not have the $300 off from it. So I asked about it and they said they would take care of it. After a very long time, they came back and said they're trying to take care of it. After more time, one of the servers said to me, if I can pay the full price on the receipt and I will receive a refund in a couple of days. So we did. We didn't want to wait any longer. A couple of days later I sent an email and the owner responded with an email from that night that he was taking care of the situation. Apparently, Tock reservations that do not opt to accept points and cash deposits will have a hard time. And since Saltcraft accepts Tock reservations with only cash deposits, I was SOL. A couple days later I was refunded the points back to my account. The food was off the charts! We had a great time devouring the yummy in all those steaks! The servers and people taking care of us were super nice and seemed to care about our experience. Overall, we felt they could've addressed at the end with the time of order till the food came out with apologies. But there was no apologies. They just brought out the food. Then the amount of time not understanding what was going on with the bill. That could've been addressed. After writing an email to the owner, he apologized that their service wasn't timely. "I'm sorry that our leisurely service style for the meal and the lead time for our steak process wasn't a good fit for your family." That was his quote. We wish them good luck and no ill. Things happen and hopefully we all get better from it.

They're seared with duck fat which gives it a great buttery taste, allowing you to taste the fatty flavor on cuts of meat that aren't the most fatty. The fries that go with each steak dish are also really good and go with the steaks. We had the cowgirl ribeye and spinellis steak. They were both good, I personally preferred the cowgirl ribeye since it had more fat. For the other portions of the meal, I really liked the sourdough bread they gave us. It tastes freshly made. The mushroom side that we ordered my husband really liked, but it wasn't my taste since it was a bit oily. The toffee bread pudding we didn't really like-it was too sweet, very small, and not very well presented. The cocktails we had were stellar. We had the paper plane, Rio de Janeiro, and Thai boxer. My favorite was the Rio de Janeiro; I was watching it being made and they squeeze fresh oranges into the drink. It was a good combination of orange juice and cream. The Thai boxer was good, although I did think it was a bit watery. The service was great and we had a lot of good recommendations from the staff. The restaurant had good ambiance and visually pleasing interior design. It's located in a shopping plaza with easily accessible parking as well. Note-if you come for your birthday or special occasion, they don't do anything extra like a dessert.

My husband ordered bbq short ribs and my daughter got pasta and chicken from the kids menu, these plates were just like a regular plate at any other place, nothing outstanding. Service could had been better, there was not much engagement from the waitress to explain the menu or to give suggestions, somehow the service felt a bit rushed. They were great at accommodating us with a toddler and a young child. There was just a thing that was a bit of a controversy... when we stepped in, we noticed a homeless shopping cart parked to the side of the restaurant, but the closer we got to the entrance, a really strong smell welcomed us into the door. Seems like they have offered food to a homeless person and sat her on their exterior seating area. My humanity says it's a kind and a generous act, but at the same time it was very displeasing to be welcomed with that smell right at the door and before having dinner.

From the food to the drinks to the overall chic and comfortable ambiance, it was an absolute treat! The service was impeccable for our party of 8. We had various tequila drinks and the chips, salsa, hot sauces (some quite hot!) made for an exceptional start. I ordered the salmon, which was sitting on a bed of cauliflower mashed potatoes and draped with an arugula salad, topped with a mache chili oil drizzle. The taste was as perfect as the presentation! The best salmon I've ever had, indeed. One of the guest had birria tacos served with a split bone marrow! Never saw that combination before! He let me try some and it was delicious! Overall, a perfect setting, a perfect meal and a truly 5-star evening!!

If you're an Amex Platinum cardholder looking to burn Resy credits in Monterey, this Mexican restaurant is worth a try -- but manage your expectations. We had a reservation and were seated right away, which was a plus. Started with chips and guac and a couple of drinks, then ordered the chicken enchiladas and the skirt steak and arugula salad, adding shrimp to the salad. The food was fine, the atmosphere was fine, the service was fine -- nothing memorable, nothing bad. The real issue is price. Adding shrimp to a salad cost about $15, and our total with tip came out to around $140 for two people. For that price point in Monterey, I expected more from the food and overall experience. Would I come back? Probably not at full price. But if you have the Amex Platinum and quarterly Resy dining credits to use, it softens the blow enough to make it worth trying once.

The venue, service, food, live piano music, tour...ALL perfection. Even our mid-twenties sons, a notoriously difficult to please age group, loved every moment. Recommendations: Arrive early to view historic aspects outside the building, grab drinks near piano and view the many historic photos tied to the building, company and area. At minimum, order the Baked New Orleans Style BBQ oysters or Cooked Wild Sardines. All agreed one of best foods ever eaten. If you've never tried oysters or sardines, try these and I guarantee you will love! We also loved the crab cakes, cheese bread, wedge salad and abalone soup. For extra special soup, add any leftover sauce from oysters! Order the special Intermezzo sorbet as a "palate cleanser" before entree. It comes in a special presentation but I don't want to spoil the surprise. We ordered 1 for a table of 4 which was plenty. We each ordered different entrees and all were excellent. It seems you can't go wrong on this menu. For dessert we had the Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream Bon-Bons and Crème Brûlée and loved those as well! At this point the family gave restaurant 7 stars out of 5. Highest rating ever given. The tour jumped rating straight to 10 out of 5. We cannot emphasize enough...make time for the tour!!!

We ended our meal with an awesome trio of desserts with cannoli, tiramisu, and spumoni. It's definitely worth checking out if you're planning to go to Cannery Row.
