This was a move out cleaning. Two stars is generous. I used The Cleaning Company almost a year to…read morethe day when I moved in to this apartment. That cleaning in August 2025 was satisfactory, not outstanding but it's an old rental and was "good enough." This move out cleaning on August 2026 was neglectful and incomplete. Cobwebs and dust in windows and upper bathroom shelves, kitchen sink and tub (both porcelain) not whitened, stove top not only left sticky, but a degreaser was used that stripped paint from the control panel (where the gas control handles are mounted). I texted Defne who beyond replying to my question about what cleaning product was used, made no offer to make things right. I provided pictures of the damage. Her response - Defne: "I checked with the team, and they used a degreaser to properly remove the grease." No response to the pictures of damage, no offer of a compromise, or some small gesture such as a partial refund in good faith. And no apology. My rental deposit was dinged $75 by the owner to recoup their charges to complete the cleaning. They truly could have charged much more, but took mercy on me. The new tenants stayed in a motel the first night because the cobwebs and dust needed to be cleaned before moving in their possessions. Here's where I went wrong: I didn't check things over thoroughly due to exhaustion on moving day, the same day they cleaned. That was my responsibility and I was too tired to see that clearly. I paid $245 plus a $50 cash tip times two cleaners -- total $345 + $75 that the apartment owner deducted from my deposit. If the company makes good and refunds $75, I will repost and let you other consumers know. We're all human. We have some bad days and make mistakes. There is an opportunity to make this right. I'm sad to write a poor review and wish things had gone better. Will add photos when I figure out how to do that. Can't seem to post photos in the review, so posted in the business's photos at the top of the page - photos 35 thru 41.

An overpriced and underwhelming cleaning service. Each visit brings a different cleaning crew, with…read moredifferent levels of experience and work ethic, and varying numbers of cleaners. The visits get briefer and briefer from week to week. The crew seems to be focused mainly on getting to the next job. The quality of their cleaning is quite superficial compared to other services I've experienced. If you are considering them for a quick once-over (for instance, you are selling your house and need to get it spruced up), they would probably be an OK choice. For regular weekly or bi-weekly cleaning, I would look elsewhere. You can almost certainly get a better job done for less.

So far I'm still using them but this could change...hired Molly Maid when I first moved and…read morecancelled them after 2-3 services as they weren't taking out the trash and cleaning and even caught them taking pictures inside the house with the dogs, Crystal the office manager told me one of the girls was leaving and made a similar comment that someone else already did about the fact that no one wanted to work or that it was hard to find people to work. I did cancel and hire someone else, but recently came back to them as my lady was unable to keep a constant schedule. The first clean coming back was over $300. Molly Maid never told me I had to redo an initial cleaning, I was a former customer and they knew the size of the house and the work that needed to be done. Thankfully I had a credit from being a customer before and having a bad experience so it wasn't as expensive but it was still well over $200. I reached out to corporate over this experience. I did speak to someone but the owner never called me. The second time they came out to clean, They didn't mop, clean/wipe the couch, clean the toilets (I had both toilets growing less than a week later) or empty the trash (which was one of my complaints the first time I used their service). I sent Chrystal the office manager pictures on everything and she only offered me a $25 credit on my next cleaning. Given the monthly price on the stuff that wasn't done, I would say this is worth more than $25. I will keep them for now since it's a constant schedule, but I don't know how long this will last and can't say I would recommend. Again called corporate and no call back. The office manager seems to think she doesn't have a supervisor but someone did hire her and she reports to someone.

We have used molly maids in the past (back in Seattle) and have had a great experience so we wanted…read moreto check them out here in Crozet. We've been really pleased with the service to date (have had Molly maids coming for the past 6 months). We have 3 young boys (6.5, 4.5, 2) and as a result there is lots of stuff tracked inside and around. ,so we have molly maids come every two weeks. It's been fantastic! The cleaners (Liz, Beth, and sometimes Missy) have been thorough and most importantly prompt. We had a couple of hiccups at the beginning (which is understandable imo, we had requests for each bathroom and multiple rooms, so it could be confusing for the first cleaning what we were expecting). With that said, nothing was so severe that we needed to call them back out (but they were very willing to come back). We interviewed a couple of other cleaners and the price was the same, the reason we likeMolly Maids over other options is the fact that we are not committed to any service. This is nice because we will periodically change our cleaning rhythm or cancel a service if we are gone, and I do not feel the guilt I would if I was cancelling with a cleaner that is a solo operation. We've been very happy, the folks at molly maids have been great. I haven't experienced any of the other negatives in the other 3 reviews and felt as a family that has really appreciated their service I should provide our positive experience.
