The lovely ladies who cleaned my house did a phenomenal job. They were efficient, thorough and careful, which is all you could ever want! I will definitely work with them again. read more

This was a move out cleaning. Two stars is generous. I used The Cleaning Company almost a year to the day when I moved in to this apartment. That cleaning in August 2025 was satisfactory, not outstanding but it's an old rental and was "good enough." This move out cleaning on August 2026 was neglectful and incomplete. Cobwebs and dust in windows and upper bathroom shelves, kitchen sink and tub (both porcelain) not whitened, stove top not only left sticky, but a degreaser was used that stripped paint from the control panel (where the gas control handles are mounted). I texted Defne who beyond replying to my question about what cleaning product was used, made no offer to make things right. I provided pictures of the damage. Her response - Defne: "I checked with the team, and they used a degreaser to properly remove the grease." No response to the pictures of damage, no offer of a compromise, or some small gesture such as a partial refund in good faith. And no apology. My rental deposit was dinged $75 by the owner to recoup their charges to complete the cleaning. They truly could have charged much more, but took mercy on me. The new tenants stayed in a motel the first night because the cobwebs and dust needed to be cleaned before moving in their possessions. Here's where I went wrong: I didn't check things over thoroughly due to exhaustion on moving day, the same day they cleaned. That was my responsibility and I was too tired to see that clearly. I paid $245 plus a $50 cash tip times two cleaners -- total $345 + $75 that the apartment owner deducted from my deposit. If the company makes good and refunds $75, I will repost and let you other consumers know. We're all human. We have some bad days and make mistakes. There is an opportunity to make this right. I'm sad to write a poor review and wish things had gone better. Will add photos when I figure out how to do that. Can't seem to post photos in the review, so posted in the business's photos at the top of the page - photos 35 thru 41. read more

Do not use this company, they illegally entered the premises I'm handicapped --Neither one spoke English just a cell translator they didn't know how to use , they threw away important papers I can never get back.No estimate just"if you need a second person??." I had to call the police. read more

Stop searching! I'm serious. The Cleaning Company will transform your house in big ways (wood floors are clean and shiny) and small ways (our ceiling fans look brand new). Bathrooms? Kitchens? AWESOME. Call them! read more

The team at The Cleaning Company always does a fantastic job. They are fastidious in cleaning with careful attention paid to every room. After years of struggling with my gas cooktop (because I cook a lot and make a mess), I finally have a clean stove after every time they visit. Their communications are prompt, the payment process easy, and the results consistently satisfactory. Highly recommend. read more

We used The Cleaning Company for several months, although they do a wonderful job cleaning and we don't have any complaints about that, we ended up cancelling for several reasons. Primarily, we kept running into issues with their cleanings damaging our home. They would unplug things that didn't need to be unplugged and damage electronics plugging them back in, they also may have damaged our electrical sockets by incorrectly plugging back in a plastic socket plug. They further damaged several photos on our fridge, and dented our walls with their vacuum. So while their work was very good, we couldn't continue working with them. I think part of the problem is that they are trying to do everything very quickly, so even when they would dust our blinds I was worried they would rip them off the windows with how firmly they were dusting them. read more

Defne and her crew are awesome! I just moved into a 2500+ square foot house that had been vacant for a few months and desperately needed a clean. I reached out to Defne via e-mail and she had a general quote and a date for me within 24 hours. A crew of three incredibly thorough and hard working ladies came out to my house and within two hours, the place was cleaner than I ever could have gotten it! Needless to say, I asked Defne to get me on the schedule every two weeks. read more

I've never seen anyone do such a horrible job of cleaning. They were here for hours and I regret not micromanaging because..... There was toothpaste crusted to the bathroom counters and crumbs on the kitchen counter after they left. I had talked to them about our new puppy (not yet potty trained) and that there are likely dried pee spots I've missed and a few spots where I've picked up poop but didn't get a chance to scrub down the spot. I was willing to do this myself if they didn't do this work, but the woman said that's fine. They spread the oily urine EVERYWHERE. I re-washed the floors when they left (I had to walk on it with shoes it was so gross)- and I had to change the cleaning solution 2x because the water was black and the mop I cleaned 3 times because it was completely covered in dirt. They moved chairs by dragging and created a new deep scratch in my wood floors. They also broke the stopper in the bathroom sink but just left it full of water. They didn't have the professionalism to tell me about either mistake. This was supposed to be a "thorough" initial cleaning so that future cleanings are easier to maintain. They didn't seem to do the windows, mirrors, just spread dirt around the floors, barely lazily wiped the counters, and seem to have swept dirt under the furniture. I moved the couch and ottoman slightly and it was filthy piles. Furthermore, they were here for a long time, but I purposely was working from a room they wouldn't need to get into to not make it feel like I was watching over them (I wish I had). And when I do a deep cleaning of the entire house (I didn't even have them do a few of the rooms) (on my hands and knees scrubbing), its takes me less time alone than the two of them took to do a shitty job. Which means this company may be charging you for more time than a job should take on purpose. I have no idea what they could have been doing most of that time after looking at their work. I have emailed the business so hopefully their response will be adequate, but I'll update this if that goes poorly, too. I imagine their positive reviews are either people who were lucky and had better cleaners, or people who don't really notice the difference between a swiffer wet jet and actually mopping a floor, because this was worse than I could have imagined. read more

Our family of five moved into a new house across town, and we were swamped with projects. We had planned on cleaning the old house ASAP to get it ready and nice looking to sell, but we were consumed by all of the stuff to do at the new house. I am so glad I decided to call TCC- Defne immediately got us into her schedule. They did an amazing job! The fridge (which was pretty nasty) just shined. They cleaned the oven, baseboards, the grime on our ceiling fans, and the floors- which were gleaming! I will definitely call them again. Reasonable prices, attentive to detail, and flexible. We are having the house photographed tomorrow by the realtor, and I could not be more pleased with how it looks. read more

We are very pleased with the service we received. Defne was very professional. The cleaning crew did a thorough job on our empty new home. It was a move in cleaning so we needed it detailed. Everything was shiny and cleaned. This is a business we can trust. read more

Defene, the owner, is a very personable and competent cleaner. I interviewed her and immediately hired her for weekly cleaning for my son and his family. She agreed to clean his 4 bed/3 bath home, empty kitty litter and do laundry! I was there on Saturday when she arrived promptly and immediately went to work. She moved constantly and clean everything, even baseboards. The shower door was immaculate and she put fresh linen on the one bed needing it. The fresh smell was a plus. I am so happy to have found her before she gets completely booked! I would heartily recommend her to everyone needing a cleaning service that is reliable and trustworthy! read more

When my husband and I recently moved to C'ville, I tried two other cleaning services before finding The Cleaning Company. They either undercharged and did a poor job, or overcharged and did a mediocre job. Defne and her team are an amazing value for the price! She is very communicative, always alerting us to our next service, and checking in with any questions. I feel really fortunate to have found her. Thanks, Defne and all your team! read more
