Papás con huevo taco and green salsa.

This is a hidden gem inside a gas station store. The breakfast tacos are excellent. The flour tortillas were handmade and delicious. Service is good and fast.

Breakfast Taco w/ bacon, potato, chorizo, egg & cheese

Not bad, not bad. The tacos were fairly big and good thing I order one taco. I had bacon, potato, cheese, eggs, and chorizo, but it doesn't amount to Soliz. It was still pretty decent. The bacon was super crispy which is a super thumbs up, I barely tasted the chorizo, the potatoes were not as soft as I expected, and the eggs are just scrambled eggs. The green sauce was a bland, but spicy so it pretty good. I also got the quesadilla with fajita meat for the next day and it was pretty good as well. They were stingy on the meat, and they put red and green bell pepper on one side of the quesadilla. (Odd) If and when I don't have cash for Soliz, this will be the next closest taco place next to my house.

It's at the back of the gas station.

I had this place bookmarked for awhile. I tried the special breakfast burrito. She asked if I wanted everything on it. Of course I do. So I'm sitting here eating it and it is way too many things inside. There's refried beans, eggs, sausage, cheese, bacon, fajita steak, potatoes, Pico de Gallo. It's in the back of a gas station and there were 3 ladies in the kitchen cooking. There is a set of tables they can seat 8 people. Their food is decent. Next time I will order something less complicated.. I will definitely try the tacos. They have a steady line of customers.

I was totally looking forward to trying out this place... After reading some of the reviews I may have set too high an expectation! I stopped in for lunch since is was in the area. I went with the beef fajita and barbacoa and I have to say, it wasn't all that!!! Totally over rated! They were okay but NOT nearly as good as described. Especially since I just found an incredible taco truck the day before! I can't really describe the taste other than just okay. However, I would not be opposed to trying their breakfast burritos or taco! I don't think I would come back here for lunch as I was very disappointed. Sorry to all the Yelper fans of this place. I have to be honest!!!

Beef fajita torta. $5.40, tax included.

I stopped by to pick up a quick lunch of beef fajita torta from the walk up counter. The counter lady was all business, not a hello or a smile. My torta was done in less than 10 minutes. The fajita beef was tasty but little on the chewy side. The beef / bread ration was not balanced, not enough beef. At least the price was reasonable. I am on the fence whether to visit again.

Bacon and Egg is the Best! The Bacon is super crunchy!!

Then I saw a short recommendation (with about a dozen likes) on another neighborhood site, and we decided to try it out. Now we've been there several times, and everything I've tried is outstanding, and the rest of my party wants to keep returning to try new things. And maybe that's especially noteworthy. Usually I go to a place and find something I like, and that's the item I get for that place. But El Fogon is 3 for 3 on perfection so far. Our first trip was a Thursday night and they have the poblano pepper fajita special for 2 on Thursday nights. The salsa is not runny, it's not ketchupy, it's not too mild or too hot -- it just has you enjoying it so much that before you know it you have to ask the waiter to bring more bowls. I won't say anything's super spicy, but it's all super flavorful. I've had the fajitas with beef and bacon. Then I had the Cameron brocheta (bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp with Monterrey jack cheese & jalapeño. The third time, I had ceviche, and they're very generous with the serving size. We're going back tonight -- the fourth time in two weeks -- and I have to try the nachos. And I still haven't had my favorite Mexican plate that I always have everywhere ... Chile relleno. And even their beans and rice are spectacular and better than maybe anywhere else. And I've had the peach margarita each time. It's very nice, though I have another spot I still like better. I always like peach, but I'm tempted to try their blackberry jalapeño margarita, or their watermelon mint. Or the pineapple rita. Or maybe tonight the mango habanero. I regret that it too so long for us to try El Fogon, but now that we've tasted how fabulous it is, we're catching up.
